  1. I always bring up Pakistan because the main claim against Israel is that 'the Israelis are just evil oppressors who are squatting on land that should belong to the Palestinians who have been sitting in refugee camps for 70 years'. Muslims hate the comparison because it's the exact same thing, just with muslims as the beneficiaries of a new sovereign state and Hindus and Sikhs as the victims. The only difference is the mass killings, millions of them, and the systemic rape inflicted by the Pakistanis on anyone who wasn't muslim. The people who would have been sitting in refugee camps are all dead or they fled the area decades ago. The Israelis have been extremely kind to the Palestinians compared to the way that the Pakistanis dealt with the Hindus and Sikhs there.
  2. If they didn't then they would be massacred. It would be an all-out slaughter.
  3. The CPC picked the best guy to beat Trudeau, not the most/best "Conservative" leader. Bernier was walking the line, taking risks. The 6 tweets about Trudeau's stupid "diversity is our greatest strength" comment are a perfect example of saying something that's perfectly sensible, yet wide-open to a virtue-signalling barrage by princess glitterfarts and a media blitzkrieg. Bernier should have chosen to be a great conservative and help out the country. Instead he got selfish. He may have just screwed our country.
  4. OMG Argus, do you honestly think that anyone would be as bad as Trudeau? Can we agree on a few things here? 1) Trudeau OWNS the Canadian media - top to bottom, inside and out. Trudeau can stay stupid things or commit ethics breeches 'til the cows come home and it won't be a big deal because the media will run cover for it in every way from glossing over it to largely ignoring it to distracting viewers with less important stories. If the Conservatives make a single typo Trudeau will be on it like a dog on a bone and the media will be all over it for the next six months, just like duffygate was for 3 full years. Scheer's boringness is his greatest strength right now. It's Kryptonite for Trudeau & his MSM's hate-machine. 2) Bernier's tweets about Trudeau's silly comment "diversity is our greatest strength" were on-point and accurate, they weren't racist or hateful, but they provided the perfect opportunity for Trudeau & co to use their big, shiny words like racism, xenophobia, bigotry, homophobia, etc. Holier-than-thou Liberal sycophants were in their glory. Bernier will, at some point, give Trudeau all the ammo he needs to get his virtue-signalling campaign back up to full speed. The middle ground will once again be a minefield for conservatives, if not a killzone. 3) Trudeau is destroying this country, period. Economically, socially, on the international stage, our relationships with our allies... our country is getting a beatdown. He has to go or we are screwed. Every split conservative vote is two votes for Trudeau. The anti-Bernier bandwagon needs to stay strong. We need to get rid of Trudeau. Period.
  5. That video is a piece of hateful, incendiary garbage because of how completely devoid it is of context. There's no mention of the massive scale of the problems that Israel faces, as well as the massive human tragedy that would take place if Israel's enemies from within and outside of their borders ever got the upper hand. You could just as easily describe America's army in WWII as a huge killing machine if you made no mention of the fact that Hitler started the war and murdered millions of people and forced them into slavery, don't mention Pearl Harbour, and then just talk about how the American military machine just went after Germany and Japan. Can we talk about how many people they killed? Seems pretty un-democratic all of a sudden, doesn't it? I'll engage you in a debate about the 'non-democratic tendencies' of Israel if you do a realistic comparison of Israel and Pakistan; a country that was formed almost exactly in the same way at almost the exact same time. You tell me all about the formation of Pakistan, the religious history and the history of genocides in that area, the number of people killed at Pakistan's formation, their use of mass systemic rape as a tool of ethic cleansing/forced conversion, the current penalty there for preaching non-islamic faiths, etc. Let's compare your notes on Pakistan, a country which I've never seen you complain about, and Israel, a country which you constantly vilify.
  6. This is just one out of 1,000 reasons why 2019 isn't the time to pick your favourite Conservative party. If Trudeau wins re-election because of conservative vote-splitting, that basically makes Bernier the anti-Christ.
  7. TBH I'd say that those cops needed jailtime based on what I saw in that video.
  8. No, unfortunately that's not how it would play out. You could have Conservatives of both stripes coming up with a combined total of 66% of the popular vote in particular riding and still lose if they get 33% each and the Libs get 34%. That means 1 seat for the Libs and zero for the conservatives in that riding. It's not pro-rated. A vote for Bernie IS essentially a vote for Trudeau.
  9. I like Bernier as a leader and on policy more than Scheer. BUT: I think that Scheer is a FAR better choice to go against Trudeau. His milquetoast policies are hard for Trudeau to spin into :"racists affronts to humanity and further proof that 'old stock Canadians' are the scum of the earth!" This election isn't a chance to show which Conservative leader you like more. It's a last-ditch effort to save the country. A vote for Bernier's party is a vote for Trudeau.
  10. I think it's awesome that in a party that's so full of far-left nutjobs that seem to get the majority of press for their horrible ideas and comments, one of the more rational people is the frontrunner in the election process. Thing is that Americans will go to the polls with a stronger America and a healthier economy than they had 4 years ago, and that's even after they finally stood up for themselves against China on trade. Even Chuck "I hate Trump" Schumer admitted that China needed to face the music. Also, a lot of people who voted for the Dems in the last mid-terms, while the spectre of Russian collusion was still front and center on the news every day, will now fee jilted/lied to by the left and their MSM cohorts. The petty levels of obstruction, which didn't amount to any hampering of the investigation at all as per the opinions of Mueller himself and Barr, are no substitute for actual proof of collusion. Intelligent Americans want something to show for that investigation to prove that it wasn't just a smear campaign/witch hunt. So far they have zilch. Ricketty old Biden can't beat a strong President who has benefitted the country in a big way.
  11. That's how life works. The person making the outlandish claim needs to provide the most evidence. You said: That's the kind of thing that requires proof. Your seemingly radical opinion on the matter is completely worthless as long as it remains totally unsubstantiated. So what if there were 1,100 people killed by the police in a year? In 2017 there were 5,000+ mureder victims in Cali, Texas, Fla and Illionois alone. 4 states, 5,000 murders. Do you know how many interactions the police have with murderers, violent rapists, gang-bangers and other violent people every year? In country with tens of millions of guns, ten thousand + murders, and millions of gangsters, the police kill 1,100 people. What does your website really prove? Nothing. https://www.statista.com/statistics/195331/number-of-murders-in-the-us-by-state/ 1) One heavily-edited video doesn't support your hypothesis. 2) Republicans have never been against gun control/reform. They're just sensible about it. They're more interested in enforcing laws against criminals illegally carrying guns, and preventing people with mental illness from buying guns, than widespread bans on common firearms.
  12. I’d like to see the videos that you’re talking about first. Show me a video of a cop doing that who didn’t go to jail GH.
  13. IMO the Green Party is just an illegitimate joke of a political party as long as they have E May at the helm. If it came down to her or Trudeau for PM again I'd vote for Trudeau in a heartbeat and Trudeau has already proven himself to be an utter failure at every level. He's getting about 25% on every test, but that's still better than straight zeros. May aside, the Greens seem to completely lack the foresight necessary for a major political party. Their naive, kindergarten-esque world view is the epitome of what you don't want in leadership.
  14. What you don't see a lot of in the US is home invasions. IMO that's a really overlooked stat in gun-ownership conversations. If I was thinking of making home invasions a new career Texas is the last place on earth I'd start. I'd pick the most gun-restricted, leftist place on eart that I could find.
  15. Biden doesn't have a chance at all imo. He doesn't have the jam to go on the campaign trail. He's prone to gaffes. He looks weak compared to Trump. He has no policy aside from "Obama....". He's a sidekick at best.
  16. Unless there's more to that video that we didn't get to see then it wasn't bad at all. It didn't seem like a burglary though imo. He wasn't scoping out the yard or looking for security cameras at all. More likely he was someone's boyfriend.
  17. Agreed, but the mass shootings are tragic when they involve school children and/or random people at a county fair. No one gives a crap when they involve mafiosos, Bloods, Cripps, Hell's Angels, Rock Machine, Bandidos, MS-13 etc.
  18. What a crock of shit. I've watched dozens of videos of "police abuse" and the one thing that they always have in common is aggressive morons who are disrespectful to the police. Anyone who has the attitude that "cops are just racist bullies with no right to ask me any questions, and I'm going to let them know about it" is just an incident waiting to happen. Police have tough jobs, mostly because of people like you GH. You're a huge part of the problem and the biggest obstacle to the solution.
  19. Guns in Tarana. I just posted about carding in here yesterday or the day b4. https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/killing-carding-the-deadly-toll-of-putting-street-checks-on-ice Then:
  20. From that article: So the top 5 countries in the world in gun ownership are in the top 15 in mass shooters per capita.... Top 5 are in the top 15.... So there are ten countries in the top 15 that aren't in the top 5. Where do they rank? TBH, at the root of this, is the acknowledgement that something bad is happening. Shootings, and mass shootings. For those who think that getting rid of all guns is the answer, look how many people a terrorist can kill with a rental van. Think of how many people are killed with knives and other things. How long will it take to end the problem of criminals with guns? Criminals will still have guns long after all the law-abiding citizens ditch them. Think of whether or not people's homes will be less safe in general when it becomes widely known that no one has guns anymore. Would you like to live in the country, 30 minutes from law enforcement, and be forbidden to have a gun, while knowing that plenty of gang bangers own them?
  21. Now you're calling me a liar? That's rich. Go read every single back and forth on this topic. I've said the exact same thing 100 times now. It's like you don't speak english.
  22. I never said that they were on the up and up for decades. I just said that they have a history. They weren't always as bad as they are now, and the US can't just cut everyone off. Isolationism is bad. Bernie resonates with the people who got useless liberal arts degrees in college and are stuck working menial jobs while they're: dressed like scrubs, talking about how much they hate America and engaging in virtue-signalling competitions. Trump resonates with people who go to work and are happy to support their community and the economy, support their family and their country, and get along with everyone else just fine.
  23. So you're admitting that the three comments don't all support each now. Perfect. We are in agreement.
  24. It's pathetic to see how far off the beaten path people will go to make America look sinister. "People need to "face the authorities" if they travel to foreign countries and use unapproved drugs". Oooh. Scary. If they take their children to a different country to use an experimental drug on them do they get the death penalty, like they would if they preached the wrong religion in Pakistan? Do they go to jail, like they would if they took off their hijab in Iran? What exactly does "face the authorities" mean in this context? A warning? A fine? A criminal record and jailtime? So, in essence, it means nothing.
