  1. To sum this up in one word: entitlement.
  2. PS what's the dealio with the online polls being all over the map? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_in_the_Canadian_federal_election,_2015Angus vs Innovative?
  3. They're trying. If I represented the US or Japan, as an example, would I care that an election is happening in Canada and drop everything I'm doing for Canada? Me thinks not.
  4. Eh? GST really messes with the poor much more than those who aren't poor. Love it or hate it, I think the poor would much rather have a GST cut than an income tax cut, when they don't even pay taxes!
  5. Thanks (to you and Icebound). This is very interesting. It makes sense to me that they can product a list of supporters that support them, but are you perhaps implying they have access to voters who are not a supporter of their party? The second paragraph definitely makes sense to me wrt allocation of resources
  6. I'm certainly not a supporter of IVF. Did you know IVF only has a 30% or so chance of success? I'd much rather spend that money for people who are already alive who need access to expensive drugs, as an example. I'd rather care for the living. As far as your comments about this country's long term success....1) world population is ever increasing 2) Immigration 3) We live in a global economy. Focusing on just Canada - now that's short cited.
  7. Wow. Why though? Do you have any more details? Like n=? How often? That sort of stuff. It seems to me that it'd be duplicate effort since phone/IVR/online polls are already conducted. Seems like a waste of party funds. I just can't seem to figure out "why" they do such a thing Thanks!
  8. How does internal polling work? I've never quite figured this out. Do you mean they conduct their own polls or....?
  9. You don't get it. Liberals are far ahead, and any poll that disagrees with that means there's an error.
  10. Have you ever asked yourself what the point is with the mud slinging? I don't participate in that thread about Trudeau either. Seriously, what good does it do? It's not an intellectual discussion either.
  11. At this point I'm so disengaged from the vitriol. Most of these posts I'm just rolling my eyes. I MUCH prefer to have an engaged discussion where the left and the right can discuss something without shitting on each other.
  12. I'm curious. Who here truly doesn't give a shit about the polls? Or does everyone sorta care?
  13. There's so many threads on the niqab. Can we just have one please?
  14. We have just ten days to go until Election Day and, while nothing is definitive, there are signs that voters’ intentions are beginning to lock in. After rising steadily fo r five consecutive days, Liberal support seems to hav e levelled out and the party remains locked in a tie with the Conservative Party. While ten days i s nearly an eternity by election campaign standards, it does not appear that the NDP is still in the race. http://www.ekospolitics.com/wp-content/uploads/full_report_october_9_2015.pdf
  15. You're welcome. Fortunately even though I'll have to eat a few grand here and there, meh whatever. I still enjoy a damn good life.
  16. So lacking in integrity? And the liberals rule with 100% integrity?
  17. We're already making sacrifices while they get to get away scot free and focus on their economy first.
  18. I was quoted and asked if I felt it was sufficient, I replied yup (to not leave people hanging). I do not have the time during the day for long winded responses, and in this case, I didn't even want to provide one.
  19. A lot? Perhaps no. But if they do recover, I agree with your assessment.
  20. Put all his bags in one basket? PUHLEASE. Nothing more than a NDP campaign line. Oil and gas comprises what, 10% or so of GDP. Mulcair and his stupidity again.
  21. Interesting. Considering the last two polls done by Nanos have the NDP starting to creep up (just read this, haven't confirmed myself). Orange wave?
  22. Well some of us do work to provide for all the demands from the Lefties. Sometimes when all I want to do is to reply, and get back to what I'm doing, that's what I'll do. But sure, attack the poster, not the substance. The question was if I felt like it was sufficient, the answer was yes, and is still, yes.
