Congrats to the Liberal supporters. Enjoy your win tomorrow. I've done the math personally as to how much it'll affect me. I will be forced to stomach it, but hey, it is what it is. Cheers to all and have a great night.

As will EKOS.

I thought the polls were favoring Christy Clark, but didn't reflect a majority, just a minority?
-
Yep. I think the Conservatives get the edge because of it as we know they have higher voter efficiency

http://www.ekospolitics.com/index.php/2015/10/marginally-significant-narrowing-of-liberal-lead/ Marginally Significant Narrowing of Liberal Lead RACE NOT OVER [Ottawa – October 15, 2015] As we sit less than four days out from Election Day, there is precious little to report. While we thought at the beginning of the week that the race would be clarified by now, it isn’t. The gap between the Liberals and the Conservatives has narrowed slightly and the Liberals’ advantage is longer statistically significant. The NDP remains in third place, although they are still a major player in this election. Regionally, Ontario continues to look very positive for the Liberals, while Quebec is looking very positive for the NDP. British Columbia, meanwhile, is a tight race with all three parties vying for the lead. The Liberals continue to dominate Atlantic Canada, while Alberta remains firmly in the hands of the Conservatives. The Conservatives still lead with seniors, although their advantage here has been weakened over the past week (the Hazel McCallion effect?).

Yep I'm a horrible person.
-
Easy. I'm a horrible person for making decent coin. I should go and off myself. Money is horrible. I should give it all away. In fact, if I commit suicide, you should wish that upon me. I've committed the worse crime of all. Making $. Sorry.

The joy that one can measure's one financial success by the dollar value in one's pocketbook is priceless. Enjoy. No one comes on MLW to convince someone else of one's views to convince them that they are right

So explain the 4th year.
-
It must feel odd being middle class.
-
i guess it's because I make too much money. I just rolled my eyes again. Halve my salary (tax), and assume (rightly so) that I live in an urban center. I do not make that much money to the point where I'm called "wealthy". Am I fortunate? Yes. Am I well off? Sure. Am I WEALTHY? Far from it.
-
Likewise TB. Nice talking to you though.
-
Likewise. Making less than $200,000 year is not astonishing wealth. The fact that you think it is, well that's simply worrisome.

I said "tell a mod". I don't want anyone here with my email address, other than a moderator.

The left's sense of entitlement is something I took away from this election. When I made $45k a year as an intern I maxed out the $5k in my TFSA. $46K IIRC is the median income of a Canadian. If I maxed it out as an intern, then I sure should be able to max out my TFSA if I were in a relationship. The sense from the left that TFSA's are so hard to max out. Bullshit, is all I have to say. Your guys sense of entitlement is appalling. If you can't max out $10k a year in TFSA, you're doing something wrong. Have a nice day, I'm out, and I'm sure, like the lefties you are, you'll have a last word. It's sad, to me, given my own journey, how you settle on not breaking six figures. That's been my goal since entering the education system, and I did end up succeeding. To those naysayers who say I'm exaggerating, I've already said this. Tell a mod to send me their email address and i'll reply back. Within a second of my reply, they'll know I'm not bullshitting. My employer does not pay out salaries less than 6 figures, and that's easily verifiable. Not one person has taken me up on that offer. All I get from the left is...OMG, late twenties, bullshit you're making that much $.

Yeah for saying things a certain way. I 100% mean what I posted in this thread.

This is the internet. For your statement to hold true, that would mean I worry what you guys think of me. Read: I don't really. ------------------------------------------------------ Let's do a flat tax. I'm ALL for a flat income tax.

Absolutely unbelievable. What's wrong with making money? Go write a huge fat check to the government then because that flat screen TV that you have - you know that one? It's not fair. I strongly believe you should give sell that TV, give it to the government to help subsidize the poor. Would you be OK (and if you say you would be, that's pure BS), if we hiked your income tax by 3%? Clearly Canadians have it better than those in say, Asia, so clearly you should be taxed more. Would you vote for this party? And do tell me, how does the government truly help the poor? You're basically saying, AP, you make too much, I deserve a 2% tax reduction in my income because how dare you make so much. I deserve more. #entitled. Also, I work much harder than you. I fly out Sunday night, get home Saturday at around 1am. I work about 80 hours a week. So kindly, bugger off when you make statements like that. There are 14 or so people in this country who can do what I do at my level. So let me be entitled then. I deserve my pay, my perks, and my benefits. If you feel like you can do what I do, go apply for it. Otherwise, supply and demand works. If all you can do is shovel dirt, then one can expect to make minimum wage. Too bad. Be accountable for your actions and career decisions. This sort of attitude is why I can be a prick. It blows my mind that someone thinks I make too much money. I used to donate quite a bit of money, now I'm bitter. If the Liberals come to power, my donations will go to $0. And my donations go directly to the "poor", not to the middle class. You're referencing the poor, but you really mean you. You mean that you deserve a break. Come on.
