Stockbrokers are all crooks lol.

If the CPC doesn't win in the federal election and say the LPC wins, do you think the stock price for publicly traded corporations will go up or not? I think if the LPCs win, then stock prices will fall. I'm trying to figure out if I hit sell and then wait for the stocks to adjust. I am significantly vested in the stock market....and i'm now back in the black post the Chinese market problem...

Harper's Rare Misstep on the TPP
angrypenguin replied to cybercoma's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I've never heard that term before. Can you please define "party hacks"? I was up front on a flight yesterday. I mentioned I was displeased that people would rather talk about the stupid Jays game versus Federal Politics. I was laughed out the door. -
Hahaha. At this point, it's...whatever. It's not like you or I can change the outcome. I used to get SO into this stuff it was worrying to my family The people will vote. But when 90% of people reject the phone call...and when Cameron got a majority in the UK, the Provincial government in AB who got a majority and the Liberal? win in BC - polls can't be trusted anymore. It's sad. I love looking at polling data. But for the love of god, no, you're not alone! I check the polls every few hours each day, and at 6am every morning! Including tomorrow!

Harper's Rare Misstep on the TPP
angrypenguin replied to cybercoma's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Most Canadians have their head stuck up so far up their ass they don't even decide who they want to vote for until the election day. Come on man. I mean we're all political junkies on here, but the reality is that most Canadians are morons and don't treat their votes carefully. While I may disagree with many Lefties on this board, at least they care enough to look at polls, to research issues etc. We are the 1% when it comes to political awareness. -
I noticed! I'm the same, but I'm too lazy versus you. At 6:00am my phone goes off, I check the Nanos poll. Sometimes it's a few minutes late, but I read it, I read the trend line, and then I go back to bed. When I wake up, I check this forum and I see a YAHOO! post by you

Harper's Rare Misstep on the TPP
angrypenguin replied to cybercoma's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Oh come on! Are you serious??? The government is pushing for the release of the details prior to Oct 19. This has to be ratified by Parliament and that will come at some day, but Parliament has to approve it. And by that point all the details will be public. The issue is we are in an election and people want to see it (apparently) before the 19th of October. The other countries couldn't give two shits that we are in an election -
Was Angus released yesterday or today? I don't remember, spent the day working. It is a long weekend. Give the polling guys a break They deserve some good time off too! I realize we're all political junkies though

OOOPS. Mea Culpa! Well they do say, attack ads work And before you give me any of the Liberal crap about not shitting on someone else - Trudeau is hardly innocent there. He plays his own decisive politics. The problem is that the lefties just don't recognize it.

I had forgotten about that. Thanks!

I don't remember which poll it was but this question was asked to voters. It was something along the lines of....based on what you have said in the poll, would you actually show up to poll? The Conservatives had a 20 or 30 point lead. We all know that the younguns are the laziest when it comes to voting, and they usually vote Liberal/NDP. The seniors are usually the ones who show up on voting day, and they severely favor the Conservatives.

Harper's Rare Misstep on the TPP

No governments have released the TPP to their people yet. NONE. I can't believe ANYONE would take on your position. 1) It would mean Canada would be put to shame if it leaked 2) It would undermine the ratification of this and smear our international reputation. -
Gotcha. Thanks. By the way, what's the point of the Conservatives holding rallys? The polls all basically say the Conservative supporters remain Conservative supporters...
-
Precisely. He's saying that Harper's making it a big deal when Harper himself doesn't even bring it up unless he's asked about it.

Oh come on. You full well know that just because Canada wants to release it it's not up to just Canada -
I already called it. Green Majority ftw.
-
Guess we're never going to be friends then
-
Wait, this is a confusing statement. Who is he?, and how did they know? And if they did, why go door to door?
-
How in the world?.....data mining gone wild
-
I could argue the same about many lefties. Why let it get personal though?
-
Instead of judging how I want to give/learn from a conversation, perhaps you can mind your own business.
-
Isn't that the point of an IBB? To learn from each other? Or are we committing to left leaning supporters crapping on right leaning supporters and vice versa?
-
But how would they have access to information regarding voters who don't vote for their party, assuming that they know who they will be voting for?
-
Rebates don't happen nearly as often enough for the poor. Buying anything from a store would hit the poor because of GST. This could be once a day or more than once a day.
