Sorry, allow me to elaborate please. You're saying that the person picking up the line doesn't want to seem....[insert stereotype here]. Most voters would not know what stereotype they are trying to avoid because they wouldn't know one exists, no? I mean we all follow polls and the news regarding this election near real time, but for it to resonate to most...that doesn't seem like something that is reflected on a nightly basis. My $0.01 CDN...

From AngryPenguin to MLW - sorry.

Hold please. If I call someone a leftie or a rightie (I am a rightie in this election) that's pejorative in nature? I've never found it personally to be insulting when someone calls me a rightie. If so, oh hell I'll stop it right now, but that surprises me. -
Thanks for your opinion. i respect it wholly. However, do you really think Tom Dick and Jane know about stuff like that essentially real time? Most people could give a damn about the thing that unites all of us (politics).

Conservative Former Premier Danny Williams Speaks Out
angrypenguin replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So I ask the question politely again, how is he still a part of any federal party? -
So in your professional opinion, Nanos is the one that is farthest off? I mean as you said, for them it's all within the margin of error, no?

The NDP and the new international trade agreement
angrypenguin replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes everyone hates Harper on here. But this is a good segment! http://www.cbc.ca/news/full-interview-stephen-harper-sits-down-with-power-politics-1.3259573 -
As I said, Harper's taking the Niqab thing too far. Then again I'm sure he realizes that the CPC vote is locked anyways. (I've voted already), so he probably wants to grab Quebec votes.

Conservative Former Premier Danny Williams Speaks Out
angrypenguin replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Ah, devil's in the details. Oops! I'll just call them the Conservatives. I got in trouble calling them the Cons (which to me is just a short version of Conservatives), but I'm lazy -
So I guess at this point we're definitely headed towards a minority, with a higher probability of it being a Conservative minority. Any disagreements? Unlike the morons in the comments sections of various online papers, I forecast there's no chance in hell it'll be a Conservative majority.

AFAIK Pakiston doesn't have that law. Mind you, here's my thinking on this. If other countries are dumping their crap in Canada, I say we reciprocate. Otherwise, we lose.

Other than the Niqab issue...how are the Conservatives xenophobic?

Conservative Former Premier Danny Williams Speaks Out
angrypenguin replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Oh wow, did I get this wrong? I thought he was PC? It's been a heck of a long day. Greetings from Ottawa. I can see Parliament right now! -
Hey folks, I've been part of many IBB over the years, even moderated for some. I however just wanted to say sorry for my actions in the last two days. No, no moderator or poster has contacted me, but I just felt the need to say sorry. A few posters on here have gotten under my skin, and that caused me to reply with one liners and caused me to be more harsh than I am as a person. Obviously, everyone shouldn't be painted with the same brush, and I sorta painted all lefties in my mind in the same brush. That's not like me. Having said that, i'm new here and i'm starting to learn who the usual trollers are, and to be frank, I'll probably just ignore them, or be unresponsive, and perhaps on a bad day, I may troll them, but that's partly because I now have had a few PM's now that have been sent from posters indicating displeasure by a select few and sadness that the mods don't act to deal with them. Anyways, my behavior in the last day or two is not like who I usually am. Politics can get heated, for sure, but there's no reason to be an ass (unless someone's treating me as such!) I'm on here to have civilized debates. Out of everyone in Canada, I'm sure it's safe to say, there are no swing votes to be gathered on here. We're all aligned to our respective parties. The day it just becomes mudslinging, is the day I leave, but for now, I've learned a few things, and as long as i'm learning and hopefully contributing, I'll stay. Greetings from Ottawa. The green tops of the Parliament building are right outside my hotel window! Was at 24 Sussex Drive today...I thought there were free tours? I've been to Ottawa probably 80 times in the last 3 years and never been to 24 Sussex. Was disappointed today. Was hoping for a tour! Anyways, for what it's worth. AP

Conservative Former Premier Danny Williams Speaks Out
angrypenguin replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How is he even part of the PC party? -
Conservative-Bloc or Conservative-NDP
-
I personally think the PM's views on further engaging in this discussion is stupid. I can't think of why he's doing this, other than getting QC votes, which he is not successfully doing atm.
-
I was surprised too. I used to think Nanos was the most accurate. Guess I was wrong.
-
I am dumbfounded. Nanos polls barely move The Signal, and yet the other two polls released today made the Liberals go UP in the Signal? http://signal.thestar.com/ I am at a loss for words. I'm not statistician but these last few polls have me so confused.

Wait. Sorry i was at work. Rally of some sort? Where in BC?I gotta see this! -
This is googleable. The past doesn't indicate the future though. Everyone under reported the Conservative % IIRC.
