Enough is enough. Ban protests outside hospitals.
dialamah replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Protests aren't banned; the location where a protest is held is being restricted. "Free speech" isn't being restricted; they can protest elsewhere that is not outside a hospital and has no chance of obstructing someone else's right to access medical care without hindrance. It will continue to not make sense to you as long as you pretend "protests are being banned", and insisting that anyone has the right to say anything they want, anywhere they want, any time they want. Perhaps you should go to an airport and talk about bombing planes as you go through security; when you are detained, you can bleat about how your right to 'free speech' is being attacked. -
In BC, pregnant women are encouraged to get the vax because Covid is particularly risky for them and the baby.

The so-called freedom of speech and rule of law
dialamah replied to xul's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This forum censors very little, if anything, but you have to follow the rules. Don't blame others for your shortcomings. -
Seriously, that's cute.
-
So you read a title, and decided someone was "rubbing their hands". Ok. got it. Well, not really, but you are clearly steeped enough in conspiracy-thought that any more attempts to get supportive info from you is doomed to failure. Have a nice day.

You mean that link to a summary of a book? That's not proof of anything. I could use the same summary to "prove" that Karl Schwab is telling us that Covid gives all of us a chance to benefit from a change in the way the world currently operates: But the power of human beings lies in being foresighted and having the ingenuity, at least to a certain extent, to take their destiny into their hands and to plan for a better future. This is the purpose of this book: to shake up and to show the deficiencies which were manifest in our global system, even before COVID broke out. Per that quote, we should all be 'rubbing our hands together and cackling evilly". You'll need something better than that.
-
You clearly stated that "someone" was happy about Covid - and here, you imply it was a 'plan' by someone. So, tell us, including a *credible* site - who are the people who planned the pandemic, and who are happy about it? Come on, avoid answering one more time - you can do it! I have faith! If you do well enough here, you can run for office! Maybe become part of that evil cabal, rubbing your hands together while cackling evilly.
-
Your backtracking is not working; you clearly expressed your idea that somewhere, there is an evil cabal that was gleeful about the pandemic. Bubber asked who this evil cabal is, and you suddenly didn't know what you were talking about. So, do tell - who is this entity that is happy about the pandemic - China? Every government worldwide? Health care professionals? Pharmaceutical companies? Who exactly is the "they" you are referring to when you said "When Covid happened they were rubbing their hands together and offering up their best evil surper-villain cackle followed by a menacing growl of "Finally..."

You presented your POV, called people who disagreed with you "government ass-licks"; I presented my POV, and - following your example - called people who disagreed with me "DFs". And somehow you felt it necessary to take me to task. So yeah, I find that kind of amusing. The topic itself, not so much.

Right. And if she'd had the flu when she died, would you people have said she died of old age? If she had had a heart attack, would you people insist it was old age that killed her? If she'd been in a car accident, would you people have claimed it was old age she died from? If she was attacked and stabbed by some miscreant, would you people believe that old age killed her? Or, for any of these, would you people say "Well she was old so was going to die anyway?" Do you people understand that what you are really saying is that Covid only kills young, healthy people with no other conditions that make them vulnerable? All this denial that you people indulge in looks like you all are very, very afraid of facing facts.

93% of Australians do not support the protestors; 88% support any measures that keep hospitalizations and deaths to a minimum. Canada's numbers are similar. Do you think the government should cave to a very tiny minority, allowing mob rule by violence? Only callous DFs think no efforts should be made by government to reduce hospitalizations and deaths.

Do you think both conservative and liberal governments are in in this "plan"? Other than as a temporary measure related to public health, do you think the courts would allow this "social credit" system you're so panicked about if it were challenged? Remember:. China is not a democracy and comparing it's social policies to a requirement to show proof of vaccination at SOME places is pure hyperbole and fear mongering. Comparing China's oppression to your ability to speak out (however foolishly) is ridiculous in the extreme.

Trudeau's hand-wringing, virtue signaling holiday

Pure scientific fact means your homeland is Africa. Can't believe how desperate you people are to deny history. -
Trudeau's hand-wringing, virtue signaling holiday

OMG, you people are really reaching. Per your "logic", no humans of are entitled to claim any homeland outside of Africa. ? -
Sick of the incessant whining of racist, entitled white men. Go get an education.

Not so true any more. You're indulging in false comfort.

How would you know that if 1/3 of those who died of Covid were vaccinated, the other 2/3rds were unvaccinated? I think it's basic math. That .07 is for all cases of infection, is it not? How much does that increase once you're in the hospital? In any case, my odds all around are better than yours.

Ok. Miss Educated One:. How do we keep this virus from ripping through populations, overwhelming hospitals and medical staff, and killing millions? Or did you just forget that four and a half million have already died, despite all the efforts to contain it. You're so smart and educated, please enlighten us as to a better way.

Why Canadians re-elected a Liberal government?
dialamah replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
True, people will hate or love regardless of legislation. Hate speech legislation isn't about controlling people's feelings; people can even express those feelings in private conversations. In Canada, it's when expressions of hate become public rather than private that they may be penalized. So if Joe Blow bitches to his wife and buddies that rag heads are scum, barbaric, immoral, criminals and unfit for Canadian society, that's one thing. But putting out a pamphlet, starting a webpage or newsletter, leaving graffiti on a temple, posting on FB, Twitter etc or yelling it to a brown person on the street - that could be classified as hate speech by our current legislation. In Canada, it's not easy to prove hate speech because the government/courts do not want to infringe on people's freedom of expression. -
So the other 2/3rds that are dying are the unvaxed? Does that mean if both you and I go into the hospital with Covid, you are about twice as likely to die as I am?
-
Do you mean the vaxed in hospital, or all vaxed people?
-
I haven't seen TB insult anyone; he just ties them in knots - well, I guess that could be considered insulting. Can you provide an example of an insult he's handed out? Or we can just go with you lying again. Sometimes, and only if the other person starts it - such as by misrepresenting my posts, or outright lying about what I've posted.

And are sent home unless they are sick. My friend wasn't sick, she didn't even go to the hospital. She called the health authority who said she did not have to quarantine and could be tested if she wanted, but her risk was low.
-
She's not sick, so why would she need hospitalization? Only sick people go to hospitals and only the VERY sick stay there. The mildly sick get sent home, vaccinated or not. But I guess assuming everything is a big hoax helps you sleep better or something, so fill your boots.
