  1. And we don't blame all Germans, just actual Nazis. Blame ISIS or terrorists, not Muslims or Islam. The number of Muslims who kill anyone based on what the Quran says is tiny compared to the Muslims who don't. If we judged men the way Muslims are being judged, we would assume that men who hadn't yet raped or didn't practice child sex tourism just hadn't gotten around to it yet, or weren't real men.
  2. So you finally agree with me that blaming everyone for what the minority does is wrong and stupid.
  3. Certainly you missed the venom directed toward East Indians that I grew up with. The people here are using the same arguments against Muslims that I heard directed against East Indians, including the likelihood of using their knives against whites Canadians. You people think you are different from racists and xenophobes that came before, but you aren't.
  4. You mean after someone claimed moral high ground, as if the violence in our midst is separate from our culture while insisting that violence by Muslims is part of their culture? Perhaps those claiming such moral high ground should keep in mind that the US has been at war with someone for 93% of its history, with Canada often following along, that in 2016 15,000 people died in the US as a result of gun violence and that 1000s of men from Western Countries travel to other countries for sex with children.
  5. Here we have it again, the actions of a single person proves the ill intent of millions. Quick, lets jail all right wingers because of the killers in Portland and Quebec. And in Vancouver last week, an old guy grabbed a teenager, dragged her into his home so he could feel her up - and maybe more, but she got away. Proof positive that men over 60 should be castrated to protect teenage girls. /s
  6. Oh and for the record, I'm currently reading Peter Townsend's book Questioning Islam. It warns "Islam apologists" in the intro that they're not going to like what he writes. So far, I have no problem with his criticisms of Islam. Probably because they're based on evidence and not the xenophobic fear-mongering found on this forum.
  7. So its plausible to you that the court agreed with an argument that "if we publicize this case, leftists will be offended"?
  8. Why not round up right wingers: not only have they attacked others, they've actually killed people. Oh silly me ..their victims are Jews, Muslims, gays, blacks, so no worries there as far as you're concerned, right?
  9. Oh I know ... Let's admire freedom-limiting countries and emulate them! No problem standing beside women in niqabs. Much riskier to stand beside a man, unless of course I want to be groped.
  10. More likely to protect the woman's family from xenophobes or because she's under 18.
  11. One woman wearing a niqab does something criminal, therefore all women wearing niqabs are ISIS terrorists. Dumb and bigotted.
  12. Ah, I had no idea. I haven't been keeping up. Glad that's been settled.
  13. What made me think she wasn't quite attached to reality was the part of the story when she declared herself before the judge started proceedings. People with all screws firmly attached tend to be able to follow events well enough to know not to blurt things out randomly in court.
  14. Hmmm ..... So you call for the "rounding up" of a certain group of people, someone responds with "Try it!", you claim emotionalism to justify making that group illegal? Logic and common sense really escapes the right, doesn't it.
  15. Sisi inhibits the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood within Egypt. Whether this is because he thinks they are terrorists or because they might threaten his power, I don't know.
  16. Thanks for the hint, I believe I found it. I have no issue supporting Islam over DOP, power to them in his case. I just wish Islamophobes wore uniforms so terrorists could tell us apart. I don't recall exactly why I clicked like on this, might have been the idea of Islamophobes in uniforms since that's what amused me this time. I didn't read it as wishing death on DoP. However, I see that it could be read that way. For that, I offer @DogOnPorch the apology I promised. I may not agree with him much, but I don't wish death on him.
  17. Here's an analysis, for what its worth.
  18. Yup Muslims have attacked Christians in Egypt. They've also protected them. My bro-in-law tried to set me up with his Christian buddy. Violent extremists in Egypt do not define all Egyptians or Muslims. Just as the actions of Bissonette do not define all Canadians or right-wingers. My sister has to worry about terrorist attacks a lot more than you do, though she assures me she's safe where she lives in a suburb of Alexandria. But yeah, I worry about her. I've agreed more than a few times that Muslims are overall more conservative than Westerners and Muslim countries have work to do when it comes to equality and human rights. But that's not good enough for you and DoP; if I'm not claiming Muslims are out to convert or kill all non-Muslims, I'm accused of supporting barbaric practices, pedophilia, terrorists, etc. This reminds me of high school, when I was jeered at and called names like 'snake-charmer' and 'paki-lover' and told I smelled bad because I had a couple of East Indian friends.
  19. Would that be true if there were suddenly no oil?
  20. You regularly condone the death of Muslims. That's my sister and if you really believe I'm Muslim, me too. I've never wished anyone dead; I do condone the death of terrorists and pedophiles. I don't consider you a terrorist or a pedophile, therefore I do neither wish for nor condone your death. I don't know what post you are referring to where you think I wished you dead or condoned your death or whatever it was, but apparently it is making you crazy. So please post it and prove your claim. If you are right, I'll apologize. If you are wrong, you can apologize.
  21. Yet you regularly threaten others who you think follow Islam. Anyway, you've mentioned this enough that I decided I should know what you are talking about. Can you link to the post where I wished you dead so I know how much you are misquoting me?
  22. That really bugs you eh?
  23. Yeah it does. So how about we start investing in our environment now instead of new pipelines so that we can turn off the valves on the old ones. Don't misrepresent my position as all or nothing. I'm well aware that given our society's reliance on oil we will have to maintain production for some time into the future as we transition to renewable energy. But if we ever hope to get there, its important to stop supporting new oil infrastructure.
