  1. This is remarkably stupid.
  2. How do you know they didn't, hmm? Anyway, most people are heading to hospital when they are still well enough to breathe on their own, so dying on the way would be unlikely. Common sense would tell you that.
  3. People died in their homes. Nobody would be walking to hospitals to die in the street because you know, cars, taxis and ambulances. Anyone who died en-route to hospital would be counted as dead at the hospital. Anyway, this isn't some fast-acting virus like you see on TV - people dying within minutes of getting it, frothing from the mouth. This is reality.
  4. Why bother? In the minds of anti-vaxers, this is just propaganda by a cabal intent on taking over the world.
  5. They did eat bugs. Even today many people eat bugs regularly, especially those without a supermarket just down the road. Now, if you'd said poisonous bugs (or berries), your statement would have at least made sense. Speaking of sheeple, you and Goddess are equivalent to chicken little - OMG VACCINES WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE ! Never mind that there billions of vaccinated people around the world who are just fine.
  6. My mother was on fentanyl patches during her extended death; she was still in significant pain. They couldn't give her anything more or stronger because it would have killed her faster.
  7. If someone is determined.enough.to.die, can always commit suicide. If that's what they choose, why not let them go with the least amount of trauma to their family by giving them the chance to say goodbye. Not to mention, the time between applying for MAID and actually going through with it can allow people to change their minds.
  8. Not that I'm against it, but why do you say it's a good thing?
  9. How is presenting a news story about an investigation into the enactment of the emergencies act "Liberal cheerleading"? Isn't that what you want, a chance to vilify Trudeau? Or are you afraid they'll find he was justified in doing so?
  10. He may not even have to pay a million because Texas has a cap on damages. https://abovethelaw.com/2022/08/texas-damages-cap-looms-over-alex-jones-sandy-hook-defamation-case/
  11. What do you mean, exactly, by reducing government? I, along with many Canadians - especially those who've already experienced extreme events due to climate change - disagree. As for Covid, most people saw the effects of the lack of precautions early on, supported government attempts to slow the spread. That wasn't due to fear mongering, it was because reasonable people saw.what was happening around the world and drew their own conclusions.
  12. You mean like the way Trudeau promised real change, and yet ... Every candidate promises the moon to get the votes, then forget most of what they promise. PP, if he even gets elected, will be no different.
  13. As if a Conservative gov would be noticeably different than what we have now. ?
  14. That's just ridiculous. Your hatred of "Libbies" makes you irrational. No point in discussion with irrational people.
  15. Getting shot at as a result of the lies Jones told is harm far beyond getting one's feelings hurt.
  16. The parents suffered from more than "hurt feelings". Heslin and Lewis both said they fear for their lives and have been confronted by strangers at home and on the street. Heslin said his home and car have been shot at. The jury heard a death threat sent via telephone message to another Sandy Hook family.
  17. This will make some people laugh and others cry. It's a bit long, but worth it, imo.
  18. True; was just repeating the word "opinion" as used by the poster I was responding to. In this usage "opinion" is the same as lies. But perhaps my intent wasn't clear enough, so thanks for giving me an opportunity to clarify.
  19. If I say to your friends and colleagues that you are a pedophile, destroy your reputation and cause you to lose.your job, can I use the defense that it's just my opinion and I should be allowed to express it, no matter how distasteful? Or should you have some recourse to defend yourself and to get some compensation for the harm done to you for my "opinion", aka lies. The plaintiffs in this case proved to the jury that they suffered harm from Jones' expressed "opinion", therefore he'll have to pay compensation. Incidentally, the law in Texas limits the amount of damages so Jones will likely have to pay much less than the jury determined was fair.
  20. Like you wouldn't destroy any Liberal or Democrat who lies like Jones does.
  21. Yes, the jury determined his lies amounted to slander; that's why there was a judgement against him and he has to pay a bunch of money to the victims of his slanderous lies.
  22. The Epoch Times, LMAO. From Media Bias Fact Check. A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency, and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for profit or influence (Learn More). Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be very untrustworthy and should be fact-checked on a per-article basis. I'll return to ignoring your "expert sources".
  23. Perhaps if there'd been sex ed in my school, I'd have known what to do when a 12 year old boy told 9 year old me about he, his brother and father all having sex with his sister - but now they couldn't because she might get pregnant.
