This is true about any race or religion that a small minority are insane or unstable. There has been cases when an insane individual hears God's voices to kill too. The thing is that random killing gets a much wider coverage and terrorists do that. Last year an idiot murdered three innocent women in Ottawa valley area and I rarely hear much about it as they knew each other and the mad guy targeted them. It was a one or two day news locally but I don't think it made a lot of national news even but last year also one Canadian soldier murdered by a Caucasian Canadian born (not a muslim immigrant) muslim convert and it was in the news locally, nationally and internationally and discussion forums for weeks and months likely why muslims are perceived to be committing more acts of murders. Both cases of course very tragic but I see the former event three times more tragic as three innocent defenseless women got murdered in the hands of a very evil man. I am sure the latter received much more coverage worldwide.

I don't believe this is correct. Where did that evidence come from??. The problem is that the extremists come to the news. SO you hear hundreds of second generation extremists gather in a mosque chanting anti-west slogans and this comes in the news or a few second generation extremists attack a western target and it comes to the news but the thousands or tens of thousands or muslim immigrants who go by their business every day and are doctors and engineers and contributors to our society or their youth in the bars drinking alcohol or picking girls never come to the news because they don't make news. Unfortunately news is almost always about a tragedy and bad events rather than normal behaviour.

No Arab culture is very different with Canada's but as I said by taking 25000 we do our share. Immigration should slow down not stopped. In the 80's I believe it was less than 100,000 a year and I think 150,000 is a good number, The point system should be applied and may be adaptability should get much more points so that only those already adopted to this culture would be admitted. This by itself may mean more so from Europe and far less from Arab regions but there are also many progressive people in non--arab muslim countries to which we should not entirely shut the door. In those regions It is not a democracy in which the majority rules. The minority (the one who is violent the most) takes over and rule over the majority by force and fear and terror even. It is hard for me to believe because we belong to human race and if another human (in this case millions of humans) are suffering especially for no fault of their own then it does become our problem unless we want to break our ties with human race declaring we belong to animal kingdom? I haven't commented so far about any of these but last night i met a lady in a bar that her views was a total shock to me (I know her for a decade). She basically opposing bringing any Syrian refugees to Canada justifying that it is their problem not ours and that muslims wanting to come to Canada with the intention of taking over the world!!!!!!! (last century it was Jews and now the version has changed to muslims) And that there are terror cells inside Canada and anytime now there may be a major terror attack on Canada and that Trudeau is young and inexperience and cannot protect Canada and that governments are corrupt and bringing refugees is political not good intentions that the 2001 attack on world trade center was the work of Bush administration and the CIA!!!!. Immigration should be mainly from Europe though that must not mean we should stop taking immigrants from certain regions or religions. I think that we belong to a larger society first (the human race) before belonging to Canadian society. though I do agree we should take care of our own as well as other people's problems whose problems are no fault of their own. Two-tiered health care system is the answer to our sick system. Health care is better even in many third world countries than Canada, Something is not right here in this advanced country with the health care system and long waiting list and I think I know what is wrong. It is the socialist way of thinking by a likely majority of Canadians that good health is not for purchase!!!!! Well nonsense when everything else is for purchase why not health? I am not talking about buying body parts no that is very wrong. But I do believe strongly that we need PRIVATE health in this country and that is something long overdue. Yes very valid statement but every tax causes economic slow down as people will have less money to spend, and so will a deficit. My point, GST tax is fairer than income tax (unless it is for the rich) because those who afford to buy big items will pay more.

Yes I realize that but I am saying is that a hair cut xost $20 and 5% of that is a single dollar but a car is $20,000 at least and 5% of that is $1000 a thousand times more. So lowering GST by 2% saved me only 40 cents but it saved the rich $400.

The main part of GST tax is from big items is what I meant. I pay say $5 on GST on a shirt ($100) I buy once a month, or $2 on small electronics ($40) like a fan or a night eating out ($50) but whoever can afford to buy a car ($20,000 to $100,000+) or furniture ($1000 to $10,000+) or heavy electronics like TV ($1000 to $5000) pays 5% of the price that is thousands of dollars.

Provinces raising their sales tax doesn't address the more than expected Federal deficit though we appear to both agree on raising sales tax rather than income tax or cutting spending. Not to mention with so many provinces governing by various parties it may be hard to have consensus among all provinces so best to raise GST and the Feds know how to best distribute it fairly among provinces.

Very good suggestions for sure (with the exception of legalizing marijuana which I don't agree with liberal plan). Especially increasing the GST. Those who buy big items (can afford to buy big items) should pay more. The Harper Cons of reducing the GST twice was stupid and to the benefits of their rich core support not the majority of the nation. Increase it back to 7% and all deficit issues will be resolved.

That is exactly what happened. At the time he was compassionate and he made that promise but later common sense told him (and likely his advisers too) that the plan should be postponed. However if you prefer a heartless cold blooded arrogant anti-science ideology driven rather than scientific evidence then someone else may be a candidate for the Prime Minister position in 2019.

He did NOT made this promise to score points as most Canadians did not favor this decision during and after the election. He made that promise based on principle that there are many desperate and very needy people in awful situation needing immediate help as soon as possible and his heart was at the right place. But after we got s close to end of the year (and the government transition took more than two weeks) then he was advised that it may not be 100% possible to carry out his pre-election promise and he was correct to not cancel but postpone the full action by a month or two.
