Canada would be a much safer stronger and better place under Trudeau. It was the conservatives who overrode democracy with religious belief to satisfy their core supporters (the religious fanatics) and they are gone. You will be surprised again how Trudeau will act to make Canada safe and strong as he surprised many including his rivals by his unexpected performance during the long campaign. The nation was right in dumping the backward corrupt scandalist old conservative regime and replace it with a fresh young energetic open minded feminist liberal government.

When Trudeau last spoke it wasn't even 100% clear if it was a terrorist attack and certainly not clear it was ISIS. So he said it is too early and he was right. I believe that Trudeau will keep all his promises including the ones I don't personally agree with (like bringing 25000 refugees by end of the year or legalization of marijuana). But I still fully support him because he said so very clearly that is what he will do if elected and in spite of that I voted for him (for all other good promises he made and policies he announced). Unlike damn conservatives who with their corruptions and scandals broke most of their promises and even manipulated the books to make the budget balanced.

The 1953 coup silenced the nation for many years while Iran's independence was sold out and the secret police tortured and murdered many in the following 25 years, the people had no where to go but the religious fanatics who were the only group left still resisting the regime and remained in their opposition to the America's puppet regime. Once the religious fanatics started the revolution ALL other suppressed groups (left, right, center, democrats, nationalists, .....) joined them in their revolution AGAINST their better judgement. They see the religious fanatics as the only group capable of overthrowing the very strong US and CIA backed regime so they joined them. Once the revolution succeeded then the fanatics pushed everyone else aside and took control. They started radicalizing the politics, stormed the US embassy, cut ties with the west an started EXPORTING extremism and Islamic militancy abroad to all over ME resulting in mess in Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Iraq, Arabia, Argentina and many other places ...etc. and eventually the mess we are in now. If Iran was left alone there would have been no religious fanatic revolution and no spread of militancy and Islamic fanaticism all over the ME.

No historic events up to present time not only those events going back to beyond WWI and I gave recent examples. No I wasn't suggesting we should not respond. The response should be harsh and deadly and directed towards those responsible not innocent civilians. However, bombing alone will not solve the problems. The west should cease it hostility against middle eastern nations, stop supporting corrupt dictatorial regimes like the ones in Saudi Arabia and many others and support democratic forces who want to overthrow corrupt evil dictatorial regimes in ME instead of negotiating or trading with those regimes. If you don't want to hear the truth then don't read this. We are political analysts (at least most of us are as a minority are just here to insult individuals who say anything contrary to their beliefs or hide behind their computer and make racist bigotry remarks) so as political analysts we must look at ALL the facts on BOTH sides and be FAIR in our judgement, assessments and comments and then come to a conclusion or decision. Listen I know some of you guys may not wish to hear the facts but let's look at both sides of the coin. First of all any terrorist attacks of any kind is disgusting and evil and those responsible must be brought to justice and I condemn such acts in the strongest possible way. Second why these murders are killing themselves to murder and justify it by shouting God is great? The west (mainly US, Britain and France) have been very dreadful to these people. They have supported puppet regimes and dictators like the ones in Saudi Arabia, Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Iran, Jordan .... and in spite of the fact that these regimes had been engaged in a war against their own people they continued to supply them with military hardware and train their intelligence services. Not to mention that Britain and France alone colonized half the world in 19th century. They took their resources like oil for free or cheap and then almost colonized them politically or economically while keeping them poor and enriched themselves. Once even one of them tried to gain independence then they formed an unholy alliance to prevent that from happening (Iran, 1953, CIA-British sponsored military coup). The west has full heatedly and unconditionally supported the state of Israel and supplied them with advanced and deadly military hardware which for more than half a century have been engaged in murderous campaign against its neighbors. Hundreds of thousands of civilians have died since as a result of terrorist actions by Israelis. Russia has done its share (by supporting dreadful regimes like Assad in Syria and Ayatollahs in Iran and communist regime in Afghanistan) and now they have started to pay the price too. All I say is that though I fully and strongly condemn these terrorist acts but at the same time the west and Russia are not totally innocent either and they created these problems and these hatreds and these terrorists by their actions in the past and present.

Harper put his backward ideology ahead of everything. Ideology ahead of democracy (bill C-51), ideology ahead of safety of citizens (bill C-36). ideology ahead of science (abolishing long form census) ...and many other examples. Trudeau will make as promised evidence-based decisions and he has reversed already one of the above. I hope he acts on other two soon.

Political manipulations and deception and lies were the main tools for Harper regime. The manner in which they supposedly balanced the budget (the foundation of their campaign) was no different. Lies and manipulations. They also rammed through unpopular harmful bills like C-51 and C-36 (harmful to our democratic values or safety of our citizens) by political manipulations and lies. I am glad the regime is gone to the trash bag of the history. It would take years or even decades for the new popular government to reverse the damages caused by Harper so called conservative party.

Harper regime was not a democracy Ruling with fist iron even his own caucus, avoiding and trashing journalists and scientists, corruptions and scandals. ramming unpopular harmful bills through parliament, faking surveys to fit their own stupid ideology disregarding or rejecting scientific or evidence based proposals or legislations and undermining Canadian values and a long list goes so any one who think they were democrats or ruled in a democratic manner is a total idiot not those who see them as dictators, sour loser, The regime was good for the rich and damn religious fanatics. I am glad they gone to the trash bag of the history and I am glad the rich will pay more taxes for breaks to middle class. It should have been significantly more than one percent tax hikes for the rich but a start and a step in the right direction. Where there are poor and homeless people and hungry children and cold and hungry seniors there must be NO rich people.

It usually has the opposite affect when the government or regime in power goes too far to one extreme. In Western Europe which was under fascism or fascist occupation the left became very strong in the 50's and 60's with massive support among the public and fascism was hated until late 70's when the political spectrum became moderated a bit. In Eastern Europe which was under communism, the extreme right became very powerful so that in late 80's and early 90's after the fall of Soviet Union and communism, gangs of extreme rights even took over and in mid to late 90's and even now extreme right has many supporters (anti immigrants (even hating their own former countrymen like those from former asian soviet union), anti homosexuals, .....).

I definitely look forward to see bills C-51 and C-36 reversed hopefully sooner than later.

I tell you a reversal. How about the smiling friendly face of Justin Trudeau walking into the Press room and answering journalists with respect in contrast to arrogant frown face of Harper avoiding journalists or treating them (and public servants) with utter disrespect and ruling with iron fist? This got to count for a reversal. I will never vote for the conservative party no matter what (or as long as these wolves in sheep's closing calling themselves progressive conservatives) are there.

Trudeau is not responsible for the past mistakes. He is going to bring a good government open and transparent and people's government. Btw I really don't think we have a debt crisis. They have been saying this for a long time and the good side of this is that the interest rates will have to stay down and so will the mortgage rates but if they suddenly go up then yes we may have a crisis.
