  1. How you so blatantly lie to make a point in your favor. Everyone knows you were a staunch Harper conservative supporter. You campaigned for him here vigorously before the election doing what you could by misrepresentation of the facts and figure to defend him and his corrupt government and the long list of his scandals and right wing policies, so the first item is a fact not a crap as you claimed again falsely. as a white skin admirer everyone knows you don't like brown people you have said so in many posts yourself and would prefer white immigrants only from Europe. So this item was not crap either. As for supporting capitalism you are right I am too and I am not ultra right but this is the only item that you are right about in my list and as fr last item based on your own posts over and over again you don't like immigration at least not those of muslims and what you call brown people in your posts. Again fact not crap.
  2. So very strange how you see me on ultra left and even more so when you see yourself at the center (a staunch Harper conservatism supporter, a white skin admirer, a supporter of capitalism, anti-immigrant.......and the list goes on. And you see me as ultra left (me being a strong supporter of capital punishment, supporting reduced immigration encouraging European immigrants, a supporter of democracy and freedom and women's equality and human rights and anti communist all my life and separation of state and religion)
  3. Again you missed my point. My point was that C-36 became law in December 2014 and the Cons claimed at the time that its goal and intention was to "eradicate" prostitution and the opponents warned them that pushing it underground and making things illegal not only will not eradicate prostitution but would make everything worse based on experiences with past similar issues. But they didn't listen. They rammed the bill through parliament in a most manipulative way and made it law without even bothering to consult those workers most affected all because they wanted to please their core support like yourself and other guy who tried to discredit me even on this sensitive important issues. The article(s) I attach is a proof that sex trafficking is getting worse every day and has now reached crises point and we need new laws immediately to deal with the situation what the more than one year law has completely failed to achieve. Eradicate prostitution by decriminalizing it and highly regulate it to prevent exploitation and trafficking and throw away the keys for those who break the regulations and exploit. I would put aside partisanship for this issue. Black, color or white those who commit these horrible kinds of crimes must be punished to the maximum extend of the law.
  4. And you in minus infinity is that was possible. Incredible how insensitive partisan some people are that even when it comes to such serious issues as sex trafficking and exploitation of women and children they try to score points or get even playing childish games. Again shame. Shame. Fortunately you guys are in a very tiny minority in this country and I thank God for Thee.
  5. This is appalling. The damn conservative regime put in place laws that made paid sex illegal instead of regulating it (and instead of punishing severely the pimping, coercing, trafficking and exploitation by Johns and pimps and mandatory enforcement of the laws) and more than a year after C-36 becoming law (and by making it illegal and criminal as usually is the case they attracted criminal elements to the business who are thriving at the expense of our innocent children) and the SEX Trafficking has reached crisis point . Even though the article is about Ontario but this human suffering issue is not limited to Ontario. Trudeau, Wynne and all good hearted caring people DO SOMETHING NOW. Our children being victimized. Regulate it and bring the most severe punishment for those who exploit women and children. http://www.pressreader.com/canada/ottawa-sun/20160219/281676843973946/TextView http://projects.thestar.com/human-sex-trafficking-ontario-canada/
  6. That is exactly the "Argus" type of thinking. Yeah blame the victims and not the aggressors or the guilty. It is not like there is a democracy in those regions and the people have a say to change things for better (because if they try they will be tortured, hanged, raped, jailed, executed). That said even with military or religious dictatorship still those nations would be better off even if a small percentage of the wealth goes to the people and most stolen by the governments. The fact is that 1% of the damn population have taken over 50% of the wealth close to their chest that we have so many poor people. There are so many charities most of which go directly to needy people. It is for the price of a coffee a day . THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO CONTRIBUTE to those charities (like world vision or Christian children's Fund). Using the excuse that it is their own fault (or governments that they have no say in electing) is NO EXCUSE and it will not release you from your human obligation or guilt or if you are religious sins and will not clear your guilty conscious. How can you ultra right guys sleep at night???
  7. I made a choice not to comment on your other comments many of which I don't agree with but this one and this stands out and is indicative of the validity of your remaining comments. So Foreign aid is supposed to benefit Canadians hah!!!!!!!!. Yes so if Canadians are foreigners lol it would have. There is no human aspect to your post that there are so many sick and hungry even starving and homeless and poor people out there on this planet but yeah why should you care right? There is enough resources on this planet to feed everyone but we have poor and hungry because about 1% of population are selfish and uncaring and posses a great percentage of the wealth. While they are living in big homes (much bigger than they ever need) and enjoy luxury and travelling to expensive places and wearing jewelry billions are poor and hungry and diseased. In my book those who own a lot but refused to give even a little bit to the needy and poor are ........ well out of respect for the forum I decline to say what I think of them. I am not religious but if I was I would have said they will pay for their selfishness.
  8. No this is nonsense. Even if you exclude the arctic territories and only the areas where is already populated still Canada includes a large area. Add Southern and Eastern Ontario (From Windsor to Ottawa) and southern Quebec (from Montreal to Quebec city) and parts of Northern Ontario (Ottawa to Sudbury to Thunder bay) and all of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and Southern Manitoba and south and Central Saskatchewan (where Regina and Saskatoon are), the Southern and Central parts of Alberta from Calgary to Edmonton and the interior BC and the Coastal areas of BC (where Vancouver is the we still have a vast area which can be populated and area-wise it is 10 to 15 times larger than Pakistan or Bangladesh. At reduced population of 12 million as someone suggested we will have a lot of empty houses, falling housing prices (a crash is more like it) reduced wealth, plenty of resources but unable to extract and export because of lack of human resources and an aging population unable to support (because we will have no younger working citizens to pay taxes or contribute to pensions) and a reduced country geopolitically and economically. While I agree earth population must be controlled but we share the same planet and cannot simply isolate ourselves. Sometimes I scratch my head unable to believe my eyes reading what I read when I am reading some posts and some counter arguments calling my post nonsense with either false statement or totally invalid ultra nonsense comments!!!!!!!!!.
  9. You answered your own question lol. So this means we wanted to have them here right? Because when they made this promise their number started moving up and we elected them to a majority knowing that they would do this right? Not sure if you are serious but we are a VAST country with Vast resources and can have 10 times the population we have now and become an economic and if we wish a military power and instead you wish to reduce 30 million to 12 million!!!!?? For what reason?
  10. Interesting argument should we or should we not? On one hand we have many people homeless and desperate trying to survive in the cold (Syrian refugees) and on the other hand we also have many homeless people right here and who are born here and are sleeping in the cold (if you don't believe me take a walk in downtown Montreal in a cold winter night). Not to mention many more having difficulties to bring food to their tables or pay for a roof over their heads and struggling to pay their bill. Not to mention the unemployed and sick and elderly without proper health care or food or medicine or shelter or heat. So what is it going to be.. Not our problem let the needy overseas die in cold because they are not born here (or they are Arabs or Muslims so why we care?) and take care of our own first? Or on other extreme lets bring all those refugees here (say over a million like Germany did?) and create even more problems for ourselves since most are people with completely different culture not to mention a tiny minority who disgraced their own, that is all of those people who went on rampage in Cologne Germany attacking innocent defenseless women in New Years celebrations or harassing them in swimming pool taking advantage of the liberal society these monsters were provided by the west. The compromise is likely the best solution. That is to take a modest number (to me 25000 sounds a fair share) and be selective as who we are admitting (that is check them out thoroughly) so I think that the Liberal government has hit a good balance not to show the world that we are uncaring and at the same time live up to our international obligations (btw, none of the Arab states lived to their obligations and refuse to help out their own brothers and sisters but we are better than them right? We don't want to be at the same level as the corrupts regimes of Saudi or the Arab States of Persian Gulf right?). Believe it or not refugees or not we will still have homeless and poor people at home. We had them before and we will have them after. So lets live up to our international obligations and at the time of slow economic growth like now lets reduce immigrants to 150,000 and concentrate on European immigrants who most of them are adopted to western culture or those in the third world selectively chosen based on their skills and adaptability. My 2 cents.
  11. Summary: Wow when I started the topic on bill C-36 (and other bills that were promised by liberals to be repealed or amended like C-51 or C-24) I never expected such a great input and posts by so many well informed posters (well the good majority are), but I am glad I did. Basically to summarize everything, prostitution was legal in Canada ever since its foundation except a few related aspects of it like solicitation in public places or running a bawdy house or being found in one. A few sex workers for reasons of their own challenged the laws back in 2009 (not sure about the year) and unfortunately it happened that the challenge coincided with a very uncaring right wing corrupt selfish conservative regime of Harper. The intentions on the part of those who challenged the laws may or may not have been right but the timing was real bad. First Ontario Superior Court ruled the laws unconstitutional (I think in 2011) and it went up to Supreme Court of Canada and the Supreme Court also unanimously ruled the laws unconstitutional in 2013 on the grounds that the laws put sex workers in danger and gave the ideologically based conservative regime one year to rewrite the laws. The Harper regime and his injustice minister in order to please their core support of religious right and retain their votes made it clear from the start they they wish to bring laws to make all aspects of prostitution illegal and even criminal and they also made it clear they are not going to listen to public (which poll after poll indicated Canadian public in good majority supports paid sex between consenting adults) or even the sex workers. In spite of all advice by legal and industry experts to the contrary they went ahead and make many aspects of prostitution illegal and even criminal (the Swedish model where feminazism is very strong). Their goal was ideology based (their stupid ideology) and didn't care that they put sex workers in great danger (sex workers call it Pickton's law referring to Robert Pickton who took advantage of illegal aspects of prostitution to pick up in isolated dark places and the bastard murdered many innocent girls and women who were trying to feed their family). http://ottawacitizen.com/news/politics/ashby-prostitution-law-ignores-the-lessons-of-history In a manipulative way (by calling their own witnesses and faking surveys claiming most Canadians support prohibition) and ordering all their MPs to vote for the bill) they passed it in December 2014 and the Pickton's bill (C-36) became the law. The injustice minister MacKay even called all of those engaged in sex trade as perverts which shows the state of mind of these people who took over our country for 9 miserable years. Both the liberals and NDP (and Green) all voted against bill C-36 on the ground that it will jeopardize the lives and safety of most vulnerable and marginalized citizens (the sex workers) promised to REPEAL these laws when elected. The liberals were indeed elected with a big majority and as they promised the nation expect them to repeal Pickton's laws as soon as possible as soon as other ideologically based bills imposed during the extreme right take over of our country. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/pickton-inquiry-focus-shifts-to-prostitution-laws-1.1084093 https://nowtoronto.com/news/the-now-guide-to-the-2015/ndp-liberals-greens-commit-to-repealing-anti-sex-work-law/ Now I am personalty against legalization of prostitution as I fear more exploitation and human trafficking may be the result and more college students may enter the sex trade but rather decriminalization and I also believe that the industry must be highly regulated so that no one is in any way exploited or no pimping, coercing or underage be allowed and those Johns who take advantage of the exploited or all violent or exploitative pimps (not Guards or drivers) must be severely punished. No bawdy house in residential areas no public solicitation where children are nearby and no unprotected services or unsafe services and those who demand it must be punished. Sex workers must form legally unions and be protected and enjoy work and health insurance and be checked and tested for disease free good health on a regular basis.
  12. This is ridiculous. Prostitution has changed since 1979. At that time it was almost all street prostitutes and even now a high percentage of street walkers are drug addicts. However, With the advent of internet things have changed completely. Less than 10% of sex workers are street prostitutes now. These days sex workers are mostly on-line and work as escorts and even masseuses and dancers (less among the latter). Many are college students financing their studies or single mothers who support their kids. The picture has completely changed. Whoever still regards sex workers today as same as prostitutes in the 70"s is doing so out of total ignorance or bigotry stemming from religious fanatism or ignorance and Harper and those who support his stupid ideology based laws fall clearly in those categories who knowingly endanger the lives of citizens so that they live up (or down or stoop low in this case) to their idiotic moral (immoral in this case) standards.
  13. Montreal heaven on Earth Montreal is the best place to live in my book. If it was me I would have voted for Montreal and I have been to many major cities (including Paris, London, Marseille, Southampton, Venice, Athens, Belgrade, Istanbul, as well as some Canadian cities like Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Ottawa, Edmonton, Calgary and the best among all Montreal). Montreal is a major metropolitan city but at the same time very inexpensive with very friendly people and very safe and with very diverse friendly culture and full of night clubs, bars and restaurant which cost nothing to have fun and easy to meet friendly open minded beautiful ladies. Montreal is where I wish to live all my remaining life if I could.
  14. Those group of immigrants who are taken for their skills or money should know one of the official languages but not family class. Immigration policies should change though. Reduce the number to 150,000 especially at this time of slow economic growth, and increase the points for adaptability significantly which likely means more Europeans and less from third world or those from third world who are adopted with western values like believing in total equality, respect for women and human rights and who are open minded.
  15. That is another thing that seems you don't understand about C-36 (Pickton's laws).. In this bill opening bawdy houses or running it by sex worker herself is now legal even in residential areas. Also solicitation in a public place by sex workers is legal as long as it is not near school. The bill makes criminals out of buyers not sellers and then puts sellers in grave danger as they have to see criminals in their every day's work providing most intimate services, submit to all their demands (i.e. unsafe services) without having the ability to screen out diseased or or abusive violent Johns. Anytime that you push something underground by making it illegal you attract criminal elements to that business. This is a proven fact. Decriminalize it, Regulate it, let them form their unions and have a safe work place and have health and work insurance and also tax it.
  16. Another false claims or statistics. Not so. The figure came from the prohibitionists and it was a lie Btw, they said 90% are drug addicts. May be true for street prostitutes which is now less than 10% of all sex workers but drug addiction is very low among other 90% group of sex workers. If ever decriminalize, setting up bawdy houses in residential areas would likely become illegal.
  17. So very true. First part again is very true though I don't fully agree with second part. Legalization will draw more likely much more college students to this profession as more clients will be drawn too. My reasons are none of above but rather that it could lead to exploitation and that is why we need to decriminalize rather than legalize it and strictly regulate it (like the New Zealand model) and impose heavy punishments for those who break the regulations (those who make demand of unsafe services illegal, to make seeing underage, pimped workers illegal, to make any kind of violence illegal, to make coercing and pimping and trafficking highly illegal with severe punishments, raise the age to 21 at least ..........). Some may enter this profession out of desperation for quick money or drug addicts. This is exploitation too if anyone sees this group of workers. I also don't agree marijuana should be legal until it is proven behind doubt that it is not harmful to adults (and must remain illegal for under 21).
  18. Deleted as it was a repeat by mistake.
  19. I don't actually agree with complete legalization of prostitution. It could encourage young girls entering the profession in large scale (college and university girls now working on summer jobs can be encourage to make quick money). It may also legitimize exploitation of women by men (like abusive Johns who demand unsafe services or much worse the parasites (pimps) who may exploit young simple minded girls. What I do prefer is decriminalization. The industry should be regulated so that no exploitation or pimping or underage will be allowed and no unsafe sexual activity of any kind should be permitted. While abusive johns (including those who knowingly may see underage and pimped workers) should be severely punished and violent or explosive pimps be put behind bars and keys thrown away, however, those adults (and in my view the age should be at least 21 for sex workers) who consent to work in this industry or be clients (again adults) who wish to engage in consenting paid sex should be able to under strict regulations. As it is now (under bill C-36 being illegal) it is very unsafe for anyone especially sex workers. Clients (who under new laws are criminals) demand unsafe services (bare services) and some sex workers may have to comply to pay bills or support dependents. Some clients who come across exploited or underage or pimped son't dare to contact law enforcement and report the cases. Many clients refused to provide info and sex workers have to see them without being able to screen violent or abusive clients or in isolated unsafe areas and again sex workers have t comply as their good law abiding clients have vanished thanks to Harper, MacKay and newly imposed laws.
  20. When you are totally out of ammunition and lose the debate real bad not to mention that you repeatedly made false untrue statements then I am too emotional (and you said same thing on the subject of Federal elections last October) and you cease to debate. No problem I let the readers to decide who was right in this debate and from what i see there is no support for your arguments.
  21. LIAR. Then who is Argus below!!!!!! Do you know how ridiculous you look like with statements like this? So people face jail term up to 5 years for exchange of money for sex because prostitution is legal!!!!!. Weird. And you say that prostitution is the same as robbery or drug trafficking? in your words sex workers are same as robbers and drug traffickers. With backward uncaring state of mind like this no wonder you are a Harper conservative supporter.
  22. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!! This time it is a crystal clear false statement (and if you make it knowingly then it is a lie). Prostitution WAS legal before Harper and his gang made prostitution ILLEGAL by ramming through bill C-36 in December 2014 in response to Supreme Court ruling which said banning on public solicitations and bawdy house rule puts the lives pf sex workers in danger and struck down the laws as unconstitutional as a result. Harper for his contempt of SCC and to please his core religious right support struck back by altogether making all aspects of prostitution illegal and criminal including paying for sex up to 5 year in jail as of December 2014 as well as advertising and communications via private media (not limited to public place anymore). He imposed laws significantly worse than those already struck down as unconstitutional by Supreme Court. Sex workers are immune from prosecution though but cannot screen out violent or abusive clients as they refuse to provide personal info. Also clients can't report abused cases anymore like underage, abused or pimped sex workers for fear of persecution. Sex workers still can't communicate at certain places. Educate yourself Argus before making comments like this. Also you are covering up the false statement you made (that the majority of Canadians oppose legalization of prostitution) when I faced you with evidence to the contrary. Okay you want evidence of why the old laws (and the much worse new ones) did or do then read this. Tragedy fueled by prostitution laws took 33 innocent lives in this single case who were citizens of this country and unless repealed soon I am afraid history may repeat itself and much worse. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/british-columbia/police-strategy-of-forcing-sex-workers-out-of-sight-helped-pickton-expert-says/article557250/
  23. I don't think so. They knew exactly what they are doing and that it was wrong and it was ideological based not evidence based. Many experts advised them against the Swedish model (C-36) and warned them of dangers it would pose to sex workers but they purposely chose to cover up surveys and as usual ignore experts and the constitution. They also knew it was unconstitutional that was why when asked, the injustice minster MacKay absolutely refused to refer the bill to the Supreme Court of Canada not to mention Harper's contempt for SCC. Why they did this? Because they wanted to appeal to their 25% core religious right support without which they had no chances of re-election. Contrary to what Argus so falsely claims (as usual Argus makes false statements) a majority of Canadian actually support legalization of prostitution survey after survey and poll after poll (except one single survey conducted by MacKay which reminded me of fraudulent elections in dictatorships) Here they are: Only 24% want to prohibit paid sex between consenting adults http://angusreidglobal.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/2011.06.30_Prost_CAN.pdf And cover ups http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/sean-casey/peter-mackay-prostitution_b_5599753.html And a good majority of Canadians oppose bill C-36. Only one-third support it (religious right or out of ignorance) http://poll.forumresearch.com/post/71/prostitution-should-be-legal-bill-c36-wrong/ http://www.vice.com/en_ca/read/new-poll-shows-canadians-dont-like-stephen-harpers-prostitution-bill-273 As for the Cons returning to government? Not in my lifetime. They messed up so bad that it will take a long time for voters to forget unless Mr. Trudeau start breaking promises (like repealing C-36) in which case votes would switch back to NDP.
  24. You clearly do not read my posts before responding. I said it is not Ontario's AG job to rule on the constitutionality of the federal bills but the Supreme Court in our democracy. I have also stated in my previous post that I am against legalization of prostitution (which either you did not read or chose to ignore to manipulate our debate). I clearly said I prefer decriminalization (of NZ model). Legalization may encourage prostitution and trafficking and drive many young girls into it and I am dead against all that. And I have said many times in almost all my posts why I am against bill C-36 (again clearly you chose to ignore this one because you could not have missed it as I said it in every related post) that this bill (for the reasons some of which I described in post # 28) would jeopardize the lives and safety of a sector of our society who are the most marginalized and vulnerable sector of our society (the sex workers estimated to be well over hundred thousand workers). Pickton's memory still fresh in my mind and the sex workers' unions have called bill C-36 new prostitution laws as Pickton's law. I am always defending the underdogs and vulnerable and you are trying to misrepresent my motives or create some motives for me falsely in order to discredit me. Shame. Trudeau or his Liberal party has PROMISED to repeal this bill and they must keep their promises if they wish to continue to enjoy massive support that they enjoy now. https://nowtoronto.com/news/the-now-guide-to-the-2015/ndp-liberals-greens-commit-to-repealing-anti-sex-work-law/ Why the hell I can't save my edited posts!!!!!!!!
  25. Again you are responding without reading my responses. I said that it is NOT provincial AG job and qualifications to rule on a FEDERAL law. Our system has the SUPREME COURT OF CANADA designated for this task with right expertise. So why the Harper regime and his stooge MacKay refused to refer the bill to SCC for ruling and rammed it through the Parliament in such a manipulative deceptive manner. Because they know it would be defeated. I let those readers who are unbiased and familiar with the process that bill C-36 went through to decide who here is having an uneducated opinion.
