5 Billion added to deficit
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
But wait... I thought Conservatives were the party of fiscal prudency, and the NDP the spend into debt party? This can't be right. -
Québec the least likely: http://www.cbc.ca/ne...ebt-europe.html Makes sense. Conservatives think too much about the short term and ignore the longer term issues with relying on such things as volatile revenue from energy sources. Ontario is just out of control from a long line of mismanagement from all three parties.

NDP support Alberta pipeline!
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This and building more refineries in Canada makes a lot more sense than shipping all of your oil down to the US or out to China. I think it is important for Canada's energy security... not to mention a nation with as much oil supply as Canada should not be seeing such high gas prices. -
He can run and win, and I'm sure he will bring the Liberals up in the polls after he wins. ...but can you picture a debate between him, Harper, Mulcair, and May? Harper and Mulcair will absolutely destroy him. His lack of experience will cost him tremendously, and he will be exposed as someone with a pretty face and name, but just simply an empty suit. I am not concerned at all about him.

Harper rises in leadership poll
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Wild Bill's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The number is not a percentage... it is an index score. The number can go above 100, it does mean more than 100% of Canadians approve of the job a leader is doing. -
Canada Day: Another good reason to despise liberals
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
LOL perhaps you need to learn how to read your own Constitution. Technically since the constitution defines the name of the country as "Canada"... that's the official name of the country. There is no Dominion of Canada. -
Happy Canada Day!

Canada Day: Another good reason to despise liberals
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
To the OP: Shut up. Seriously. This thread just highlights how people who are stuck in the past seriously need to get a life and move on. The rest of the world is progressing and leaving you behind. The "Dominion of Canada" doesn't even exist anymore... you might as well celebrate Soviet Union Day. -
Will Justin Trudeau Cross the Aisle?
nittanylionstorm07 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Here is what's going to happen if Justin decides to run: Liberals are going to jump all over him as the saviour of the party. He'll be elected to the leadership by a landslide, and national voting intention polls after the election will show the Liberals in first place. Then people are going to realize who Justin Trudeau is and what he is not capable of... He will still have a smaller voice in Parliament as leader of the third party. He'll be ineffective at moving legislation as party leader. Both Harper and Mulcair will destroy him in HoC debates, in the media, and in the 2015 election debates. Trudeau will come across as an immature, silver-spoon-fed child that is unready to lead a nation, receiving success only because his last name is Trudeau. It will be the final nail in the coffin for the federal Liberal party. -
Canadians now in favour of merging NDP & LPC
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Anti-Am's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So far it seems like the NDP is doing a damn good job of being an alternative to the Cons. While there is still some work to do in places like Ontario, the progress is great so far. It would be pointless. -
Lol at a conservative complaining about "Big <insert corporate sector here>"

Liberals to get a "new" interim leader!
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Fletch 27's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Lol, he'll shake things up for sure... as long as you consider a record low vote for the Liberals as "shaking up". -
Liberals to get a "new" interim leader!
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Fletch 27's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
A few things: 1. lol Liberals. What a shocker. Please please elect Bob Rae your permanent leader... maybe the Liberals will start polling in the lower teens. 2. I find it funny that the blind Tories keep labeling Mulcair "A former Liberal!!11" over and over again as if the rest of the country doesn't understand that belonging to the Quebec Liberal Party (the only federalist option on the provincial level) is the same as belonging to the federal Liberal Party. If that's the case, then why is the current leader of the Quebec Liberals a former federal PC Leader and cabinet member? 3. It's getting more and more difficult to read Fletch's posts. Lay off the juice, man... your posts are about as hard to read as that of an 11 year old. -
The "Squeeky Clean" NDP
nittanylionstorm07 replied to Fletch 27's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Reading Fletch's posts is like reading all of the failed points the Cons are going to bring up against the NDP in their 2015 Election Playbook. Feel free to keep doing it, though. The NDP will just soar north of 40%.
