Dixie Chicks Song
JerrySeinfeld replied to JerrySeinfeld's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Think before you type. It's not my input - it is actually a critique of the hollywood left's input. -
In listening to the Dixie Chicks' anti-war anti-bush anti-conservative song "Not Ready to Make Nice" something suddenly jumped out at me: The lyrics, pretty much word for word, could just as easily be used as a call for war against radical Islam. Lines like "It's a sad sad story That a mother will teach her daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger." could easily describe the cultural teachings throughout the middle east about Americans and Jews. Read the whole song below, but think of it from the eyes of someone who supports the war against radical Islam and thinks 9-11 was an era-changing moment.... Forgive, sounds good. Forget, I'm not sure I could. They say time heals everything, But I'm still waiting I'm through, with doubt, There's nothing left for me to figure out, I've paid a price, and i'll keep paying I'm not ready to make nice, I'm not ready to back down, I'm still mad as hell And I don't have time To go round and round and round It's too late to make it right I probably wouldn't if I could Cause I'm mad as hell Can't bring myself to do what it is You think I should I know you said Why can't you just get over it, It turned my whole world around and i kind of like it I made by bed, and I sleep like a baby, With no regrets and I don't mind saying, It's a sad sad story That a mother will teach her daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger. And how in the world Can the words that I said Send somebody so over the edge That they'd write me a letter Saying that I better shut up and sing Or my life will be over I'm not ready to make nice, I'm not ready to back down, I'm still mad as hell And I don't have time To go round and round and round It's too late to make it right I probably wouldn't if I could Cause I'm mad as hell Can't bring myself to do what it is You think I should I'm not ready to make nice, I'm not ready to back down, I'm still mad as hell And I don't have time To go round and round and round It's too late to make it right I probably wouldn't if I could Cause I'm mad as hell Can't bring myself to do what it is You think I should Forgive, sounds good. Forget, I'm not sure I could. They say time heals everything, But I'm still waiting

What will Bush come up with now to win?
JerrySeinfeld replied to Ladyjen's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Regardless fo whats happeneing in short term polls, Americans aren't dumb enough to hand over the reigns to an increasingly bizzare Democrat party. -
They found weapons buried near the Iran border. But the lefties all came out and said they weren't the right kind. Nothing's the "right kind" of WMD until it ends up blowing up a building in new york - but then of course we can all blame that on conspiracy by the US government. It's no win in the fantasy world of the left.

9-11 was actually planned by the US government . Bill Clinton started the plot in an attempt to win the 2004 election for the democrats. -
This sounds familiair, kind of reminds me of another religion: Boycotting walmart because they say "happy holidays" instead of "merry christmas" Trying to get "Intelligent Design" taught in schools Trying to keep stores closed on Sunday Refusing to sell morning after pills If your examples show that muslims are trying to impose their belief on others, then christians are doing the same. You might be onto something if any of YOUR examples involved violence and death.

Anger in Holland over 'apartheid' Islamic hospital
JerrySeinfeld replied to scribblet's topic in The Rest of the World
This is what I have been writing about for years. Even 12 months ago everyone on here accused me of being alarmist and a quack. Now we see more and more everyday that this is a reality in our world that we must confront of face a very different future. -
I agree - neo conservatism is about truth and reality as opposed to image and gloss - which is exactly what the post-modernist post-christian leftists are all about .

Official asks visitors to take off veil
JerrySeinfeld replied to myata's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I don't understand this crap at all. I can't even believe this is a legitimate discussion in our society. Look at what we're debating here and ask yourself if this is normal. Now look at the pace of change and trajectory - we're gonna be dhimmis by mid century. -
From what I've read, the former Clinton Administration had a lot to do with North Korea furthering their nuclear program. The lefties love to post the picture of Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein 25 years ago. Well, I've got one better, from only a few years ago.Pic Champagne anyone? That is a GREAT picture and illustrates so much about the problems in our world today vis a vis blaming BUSH for everything - even 9-11 which was planned long before Bush took office.

Listen. Instead of all this ivory tower BS lets look at the big picture 50,000 - foot view of this situation. This is just another of many examples of Muslims grandually imposing more and more of their beliefs on the rest of us and expecting us to acquiesce. It's no different than the burger king chocolate ice cream swirl which is offensive because it "resembles the arabic symbol for Allah" and was pulled from the menu. It's no different than the inflatable sex-doll named "mustafa shag" which muslims demanded be pulled from sex-shops. (Kind of odd to for Muslims to actually be AGAINST blow up males ) It's no different than the Danish cartoons. It's no different than trying to tell the leader of the Catholic Church what he can and cannot say. It's just another example of a fiercely impreialist religion imposing it's beliefs upon others around the world.

Awhile back I posted a comment about "passports of convenience" related to the 50,000 "Canadians" in Lebanon. This article is a great example of why our countries are such an easy target for Muslims looking to establish new muslim states inside our borders - heck you don't even have to obey the same code as other peace officers if you're a muslim. Met chief orders inquiry into Muslim PC embassy row 05.10.06 Add your view Sir Ian Blair has ordered an 'urgent inquiry' after a Muslim police officer was excused from guarding London's Israeli Embassy after he objected to the duty on 'moral grounds'. Sir Ian said: "Having learned of this issue I have asked for an urgent review of the situation and a full report into the circumstances." PC Alexander Omar Basha - a member of the Metropolitan Police's Diplomatic Protection Group - refused to be posted there because he objected to Israeli bombings in Lebanon and the resulting civilian casualties of fellow Muslims. In a move which has caused widespread astonishment at Scotland Yard, senior officers in the DPG agreed that that PC Basha should be given an alternative posting. The officer, who carries a gun, is now thought to be guarding another embassy. Critics accused Met chiefs of bowing to political correctness, saying the decision set a dangerous precedent. A senior source in the Metropolitan Police Federation said: 'We are expected to serve people without fear or favour. You treat them according to their needs whether you agree with their political or religious views or not. "Officers should not be allowed to pick and choose where they work in this way." Richard Barnes, a Tory member of the Metropolitan Police Authority, accused senior officers of lacking tact. He said: "I think it was crass management in the first place. They should have recognised there could have been a problem and not suggested this officer be posted at this embassy. "The Met keep banging on about diversity, but this case shows they have learned very little at all." The Israeli embassy in Kensington, West London, is one of the most secure diplomatic buildings in the capital. Officers are on patrol around the clock amid fears it could be targeted by terrorists. Last night senior Scotland Yard sources stressed the decision not to post PC Basha to the Israeli embassy was taken by 'locally' senior officers in the DPG. They stressed Met Commissioner Sir Ian Blair, who has been dubbed Britain's most politically correct police chief, had "absolutely no involvement in the case". But Met insiders blame Sir Ian for creating a culture of political correctness since taking over as head of the force in February last year. One of the first initiatives taken by Sir Ian after taking up the post was to change the Met's log from a handwritten style to a bland type in capitals because it discriminated against short-sighted people. Next he approved the hiring of 24 'diversity advisors' to give advice on race and gay issues to police investigating major crimes. Last year he was found 'guilty' of 'hanging three white detectives out to dry' to prove his anti-racist credentials. An employment tribunal said while deputy head of the force, Sir Ian prejudiced discipline proceedings against the men because he wanted to make an example of them. The three said they were 'treated like criminals' after an Asian woman colleague complained that one of the mispronounced the word 'shi'ites' as 'shitties'. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that PC Basha had objected to being posted to the Israeil Embassy. He added: "On occasions and for a variety of reasons, an officer may ask to be moved, whatever role they perform. Every case is managed separately. "At the end of the day the needs of the Metropolitan Police Service take precedence and the Commissioner reserves the right to post an officer where he sees fit." PC Nadeem Malik, an executive committee member of the Association of Muslim Police, said: "There are around 300 Muslim staff working in the Met and a number of Muslim police working in the diplomatic protection group who do not have problem covering the Israeli Embassy. "These officers are Londoners, and Met police officers first and foremost." PC Basha - in his late twenties and with a neatly-trimmed beard - is understood he has recently taken part in recent anti-war protests. The Israeli Embassy in Kensington Palace Gardens is a top terror target. The building was attacked in 1994 by Palestinian fanatics when a 50lb car bomb exploded, injuring nine and causing millions of pounds' damage. Ex-Met Flying Squad commander John O'Connor, said: "This is the beginning of the end for British policing. "If they can allow this, surely they'll have to accept a Jewish officer not wanting to work at an Islamic national embassy? Will Catholic cops be let off working at Protestant churches? Where will it end? This decision is going to allow officers to act in a discriminating and racist way. "When you join the police, you do so to provide a service to the public. If you cannot perform those duties, you leave. "The Metropolitan Police are setting a precedent they will come to bitterly regret. Top brass granted his wish as they were probably frightened of being accused of racism. But what they've done is an insult to the Jewish community." Last night Met chief Sir Ian Blair ordered an urgent review of the decision not to post the Muslim officer to the Israeli embassy. In a hurriedly-composed statement, he said: "Having learned of this issue, I have asked for a review of the situation and a full report into the circumstances." Met sources said the Commissioner was 'furious' that such a decision had been taken by his senior officers. One said: "He had no knowledge about this case until very late tonight. It sends out the wrong messages and he wants it sorted out as soon as possible." It is understood the head of the Diplomatic Protection Group, Chief Supt Jamie Stephen, approved PC Basha's request. His boss, Commander Peter Loughborough, was "consulted" about the case and agreed with his decision. Commander Loughborough - an artisocrat who is also in overall charge of Royalty Protection - is no stranger to controversy. He was strongly tipped to lose his job after an intruder dressed up as Osama Bin Laden gatecrashed Prince William's 21st birthday party at Windsor Castle, and kissed him on both cheeks. However he kept his job after senior royals made it clear to the Met's top brass they had faith in him.

JerrySeinfeld replied to PolyNewbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I concur. WTC 7 doesn't have a definitive answer yet. I think there is an even bigger conspiracy at play here. The democrats under Bill Clinton had this all planned before Bush came into office. Before the inauguration, the wheels were set into motion with a master plan of undermining the Bush administration's long term goals in the Middle East. The dem's KNEW that Bush et. al. would be looking to make some sweeping changes in the Middle east and the only way to ggrab power back would be to make the whole thing look like a conspiracy, which of course they would blame on the president who was in power DURING the attacks (ingenius). -
It is a chicken and egg problem. Muslims need an incentive to become moderate. Unjustified attacks on Muslim countries do not provide that incentive - in fact, they encourage Muslims to be even more militant. Muslims militants may be a PIA but the only pratical way to deal with them is to reach out the Muslim moderates no matter how hard they are to find. That doesn't explain Bali OR 9-11. I heard a prominent palestinian after Bali say "these kinds of attacks will not stop until w answer the Palestinian Question." Huh? What does Palestine have to do with Bali? The whole point is being missed by you: You are assuming Muslims WANT to assimilate or integrate. The problem is, they don't see it that way. They see YOU as the one who needs to be pushed into integration. ie. "reverting" to Islam, the only true god.

Muslims are waging civil war against us, claims police union By David Rennie, Europe Correspondent (Filed: 05/10/2006) Radical Muslims in France's housing estates are waging an undeclared "intifada" against the police, with violent clashes injuring an average of 14 officers each day. Interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy was warned of an 'intifada' As the interior ministry said that nearly 2,500 officers had been wounded this year, a police union declared that its members were "in a state of civil war" with Muslims in the most depressed "banlieue" estates which are heavily populated by unemployed youths of north African origin. It said the situation was so grave that it had asked the government to provide police with armoured cars to protect officers in the estates, which are becoming no-go zones. The number of attacks has risen by a third in two years. Police representatives told the newspaper Le Figaro that the "taboo" of attacking officers on patrol has been broken. Instead, officers – especially those patrolling in pairs or small groups – faced attacks as soon as they tried to arrest locals. Senior officers insisted that the problem was essentially criminal in nature, with crime bosses on the estates fighting back against tough tactics. The interior minister, Nicolas Sarkozy, who is also the leading centre-Right candidate for the presidency, has sent heavily equipped units into areas with orders to regain control from drug smuggling gangs and other organised crime rings. Such aggressive raids were "disrupting the underground economy in the estates", one senior official told Le Figaro. However, not all officers on the ground accept that essentially secular interpretation. Michel Thoomis, the secretary general of the hardline Action Police trade union, has written to Mr Sarkozy warning of an "intifada" on the estates and demanding that officers be given armoured cars in the most dangerous areas. He said yesterday: "We are in a state of civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists. This is not a question of urban violence any more, it is an intifada, with stones and Molotov cocktails. You no longer see two or three youths confronting police, you see whole tower blocks emptying into the streets to set their 'comrades' free when they are arrested." He added: "We need armoured vehicles and water cannon. They are the only things that can disperse crowds of hundreds of people who are trying to kill police and burn their vehicles." However, Gerard Demarcq, of the largest police unions, Alliance, dismissed talk of an "intifada" as representing the views of only a minority. Mr Demarcq said that the increased attacks on officers were proof that the policy of "retaking territory" from criminal gangs was working. Mayors in the worst affected suburbs, which saw weeks of riots and car-burning a year ago, have expressed fears of a vicious circle, as attacks by locals lead the police to harden their tactics, further increasing resentment. As if to prove that point, there were angry reactions in the western Paris suburb of Les Mureaux following dawn raids in search of youths who attacked a police unit on Sunday. The raids led to one arrest. They followed clashes on Sunday night when scores of youths attacked seven officers who had tried to arrest a man for not wearing his seat belt while driving. That driver refused to stop, and later rammed a police car trying to block his path. The mayor of Les Mureaux, Francois Garay, criticised aggressive police tactics that afterwards left "the people on the ground to pick up the pieces".

Hmmm, good idea. I'll start a tally of reported rapes and molestations against Christian clergy versus Muslim clergy. I'll also keep a tally of Muslim civilians killed by Jewish governments versus Jewish civilians killed by Muslim governments. It may be hard to get the information..but if I can maybe I'll try to calculate the number of people swindled out of their money in the name of "God" versus "Allah". I like the 'starting today' bit.. It's a great way to gloss over a brutal past. Starting today I'll keep a tally of how many young girls are raped by Paul Bernado... I'm willing to bet the result will be 0 but does that make him a good man? Me thinks thou protesteth too much

OK for those of you who have chosen to compare Muslim fundamentalists with Christian fundamentalists on the violence front, I've decided to take you up on your comparison. Starting today we will each post new violent attacks by Christian fundamentalist civilians and by Muslim fundamentalist civilians upon other civilians.

JS - Is this how you justify overstating your case, exaggerating and manipulating the information on your side ? Wouldn't you feel better if Canada's moderating influence brought a calming influence to this religion ? Or does the idea of moderate Muslims threaten you in some way ? I won't believe in the concept of "Moderate" Muslims until they work hard to eradicate the militants from the religion. There were alot of "Moderate" germans in the 40's too, but alot of good that did the jews. Simply issuing a press release denoucing terrorism as a token gesture isn't enough. If you were the principal of a school that was notorious for having pockets of murderous youths, it wouldn't be acceptable to simply issue a statement saying "I am against violent youth." You'd be expected to work hard to eradicate this from your instution. If ANYONE should be doing everything possible in a transparent and aggressive fashion to eliminate militant islam, it's the modrates. But we don't see this. We don't see massive amounts of openness, transparency and cooperation. We don't see Muslims marching down the street AGAINST terrorism, AGAINST hexbollah, AGAINST suicide attacks, AGAINST 9-11. Sure we see little press releases from time to time, but if the "Moderate" Muslsims are serious we'd see some real transparent action. Instead we see excuses and sidestepping. I doubt if non-Muslims are even allowed to walk into a Mosque and hear what is said by the Imams. When Swedish Mosques are giving out hat literature and videos on Martyrdom, it makes you wonder.

Muslims demand Pope be Fired
JerrySeinfeld replied to JerrySeinfeld's topic in The Rest of the World
Read the friggin' first post. Do you see the word 'riot'? Do you see the word 'threat'? I haven't downgraded anything. You on the other hand are upgrading. In fact, I'd call it highgrading. Are you the anyone who is supposed to be able to think? Actually the first post read "or face serious consequences" I think by now we all know what a Muslim means when he utters those words. ....they will invade iraq? That would be the one great example of a western country actually giving UN resolutions some teeth. But no, it's a threat by Muslims toward the Pope. -
You need to change your thinking. There may not be an organized plot to take over any country, but there is a pervasive thought in the Muslim community which say that basically non-believers are infidels and filthy pigs. There is a superioristic view of themselves and an intolerance of those who do not submit to the hardline belief that Allah is absolute. Muslims refer to converts as "reverts" - ie/ everyone is born a Muslim and doens't realize it yet. There is also a willingness to die for the cause, one which is a long term will of the Muslim people to stand up for -and to die- for Allah. So while there may not be a "plot" or "conspiracy" to take over, there is a natural tendency for these swelling, growing communities to do very well when immersed in a scoiety whose very nature is to be passive, to acquiesce, to tolerate and to bow down to their views and intimidation. I ask you - what to you get when you have a massive group of unassimilated people who think they're superior, think the "homelanders" are pigs and are willing to take to viollence and intimidation - and place these people into a society who'se first instinct is to give in? You get Denmark, you get france and you get what's happening in Britain. The Arab saying "a falling camel attracts many knives" is relevant here. hey see us a weak and spineless and willing to give in. Many Militant Muslims have mastered the art of manipulating the western bias toward not offending ANYBODY - especially people of of different races and religions. Why do you think an uncovered Al Qaeda manual strongly suggests "upon being captured, complain to the press about prisoner abuse." Funny thing - look at what happened after the Toronto arrests. here was a mini-uproar about exactly that. They know how to push our sensitivity buttons - as they have in Europe very well. And Argus' point is vry valid: We need to stop cowtowing to every intimidation to eliminate our basics freedoms such as speech. That's the start. Continuing to "wait it out" is exactly what has caused the problem in the first place.

A LEADING imam in the mosque where the July 7 bombers worshipped has hailed their terrorist attack on London as a “good” act in a secretly taped conversation with an undercover reporter. Hamid Ali, spiritual leader of the mosque in West Yorkshire, said it had forced people to take notice when peaceful meetings and conferences had no impact. He also praised the bombers as the “children” of Abdullah al-Faisal, a firebrand Muslim cleric, who was convicted of inciting murder and racial hatred in 2003. Ali revealed that the leader of the London suicide bombers had attended sermons in Yorkshire by al-Faisal and tapes of al-Faisal’s teachings were still circulating within his mosque. Al-Faisal, who has branded non-Muslims as “cockroaches” ripe for extermination, is serving a seven-year prison sentence but is eligible for early release next week. Evidence of continuing extremism and terrorist sympathisers in the bombers’ community has been exposed by a six-week investigation by The Sunday Times. It contrasts with the public statements of condemnation by community leaders — including Ali — in the immediate aftermath of the July 7 attacks.
