ahhh - the religion of peace is at it again... LAHORE, Pakistan - About 1,000 Muslim clerics and religious scholars meeting Thursday in eastern Pakistan demanded the removal of Pope Benedict XVI for making what they called “insulting remarks” against Islam. Benedict “should be removed from his position immediately for encouraging war and fanning hostility between various faiths” and “making insulting remarks” against Islam, said a joint statement issued by the clerics and scholars at the end of their one-day convention. The “pope, and all infidels, should know that no Muslim, under any circumstances, can tolerate an insult to the Prophet (Muhammad). ... If the West does not change its stance regarding Islam, it will face severe consequences,” it said.

The Real Subtext of the Thai Coup The acting prime minister installed by the Thai military coup is a Muslim—and this report confirms that it’s a relevant point, mostly ignored by Western media: Thailand’s Muslim coup leader could soothe Islamic unrest. Yala, Thailand (ANTARA News) - Thailand’s southern Muslims, who widely despised ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra, say they hope the Muslim general who overthrew him will follow through on his offer to hold peace talks with Islamic separatists. “I hope that (General Sonthi Boonyaratglin) will be able to solve the problem in the south as he himself is Muslim and can reach out to villagers,” said Kordiya Mapae, 45, a Muslim worker in Yala province. The three Muslim-majority provinces bordering Malaysia have been plagued by separatist violence and other unrest since January 2004, and Thaksin’s decision to impose emergency rule there in 2005 was widely criticized. “Thaksin was pretty much loathed among many in the south, as was evident in the dismal showing of his allies at the last general elections,” said Joseph Liow, an assistant professor at Singapore’s Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies. Sonthi, the first Muslim to head the Thai army, was previously tasked with resolving the bloody conflict that has claimed over 1,400 lives, and there is optimism that his conciliatory approach may now produce results. “Sonthi has himself intimated that dialogue with the insurgents is necessary,” said Liow. “This was not a view that Thaksin and others in his security establishment shared.”

How many Cartoon riots occurred in Canada and the US? Assimilation is a two way street - people can only assimilate if the dominate culture allows them to assimilate. Most European societies do not accept even 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants as equal to 'pure lain'. There were cartoon protests in Toronto. And to quote one young lady in the protests in T.O.: "We will not stop until the world obeys Islamic Law" Pretty much sums up the whole situation in a nutshell I'd say.

Yes I'm sure you're right. The world isn't being overrun with stories about angry Muslim men committing violence against others. I suppose you're gonna throw a "Marc Lepine" article at me?
-
It's from a british newspaper - but I love how your bias automatically WANTS to disbelieve it.

Thank God no one has ever killed there family in Canada....ever...not even...recently More FACTUAL accounts of muslim men killing their women family members in Europe to follow....I look forward to your spin.
-
I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you disputing the facts of this story?

Here is more from the "religion of peace".... http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14954468/displaymo...rstry/14957012/ a photo of the pope...

Connecting the dots is done by analysis - by looking at the data, coming up with a hypothesis, and testing it. It's not done by posting news articles of individual crimes and implicating millions of people with the same race, or religion. Ah yes - most muslims are moderates. "No jihad to see here". It's hypnotic. Keep saying it - soon maybe even you will believe it. Meantime I'll keep posting factual news stories from around the globe.

Is this Canada's future? I sat down with a German tourist the other day and he was warning me things with Muslims in Europe have gotten pretty bad - here is a small example....plenty more to come (see Oslo honour killing to start)... hardline Muslim teacher who caused a furore by denouncing pupils for celebrating Christmas has been made a Government schools inspector. Israr Khan’s Ofsted appointment was described by a former colleague as ‘absolutely astonishing’. Mr Khan, now headmaster of an Islamic school, launched into his tirade during a concert rehearsal at Washwood Heath Secondary School in Birmingham in 1996 after the choir including around 40 Muslim youngsters, had sung a number of popular Christmas songs, including carols. He leapt from his seat, yelling: “Who is your God? Why are you saying Jesus and Jesus Christ? God is not your God - it is Allah.” As children in the audience began booing and clapping, a number of choir members - both white and Asian - walked out, some in tears. Mr Khan, a maths teacher, was asked to work from home pending an investigation but there was no disciplinary action. It has been claimed that Washwood Heath school was then a ‘hotbed of Islamic fundamentalism’. Rashid Rauf - the airline terror bomb suspect whose extradition is currently being sought from Pakistan - was a pupil there at that time. Mr Khan left Washwood Heath a year later to found the independent Islamic Hamd House Preparatory School in Small Heath, Birmingham, where he is headmaster. Earlier this year, he was appointed as a governor of Anderton Park Primary School, in Sparkbrook, Birmingham.

No doubt this report will be followed up by the usual multiculti muzzak, accompanied by official statements o "no jihad to see here".... A 30-year-old man was in police custody and under observation at Ulleval University Hospital Monday after he’s believed to have shot and killed all three of his sisters at the family’s home in Oslo Sunday night. The three sisters, aged 13, 24 and 27, lived in the flat in Oslo’s Kalbakken district with their three brothers, their wives and children. The 30-year-old brother was the oldest, and police said he functioned as head of the household when the retired patriarch of the family was on one of his trips to Pakistan, as he was this week. Police said they received a call Sunday night from one of the younger brothers in the home, and he reported “the shooting of a woman.” When police arrived they found all three sisters dead. The eldest brother had fled but was captured within a half-hour and and reportedly told police “it’s probably me you’re looking for,” before he passed out. He was rushed to the Oslo emergency clinic (Legevakt) and later to Ulleval hospital. Police said they still hadn’t been able to question him, because his condition was too unstable. Police said they therefore had no motive for the murders. Neighbours also described the shootings as baffling, describing the family as “very nice” and “completely normal,” noting that they often invited neighbours in for Pakistani food.

I'm sorry but I still don't see enough specifics in your answer. Our culture changes with time. It always has. So do our values, whether 'we' and 'our' refer to the 'west', Canada, America or Europe. If I let my imagination go, I might imagine that there would be some point in the future (say, 2040) when there are so many Muslims in Canada that there's a groundswell of support to remove our constitution and make Canada a Muslim state. Luckily, my imagination isn't that wild - that's not going to happen. This is the world we asked for when we gave the powers that be the directive to create a true global marketplace, and the world government that that entails. The genie is out of the bottle, but luckily it's not as scary as some think it is. This type of thinking is typical fodder which is resposible for the firebombings and grip that Islam has on Europe now: Most of the multiculti left assumes that the free and just society in which we live today is and always will be roughly as it is with some mild changes due to immigration shifts. This is wishful thinking. What we all have come to know as our "way of life" in the west - freedom os speech, religion, thought, race etc. enfettered by religious, racial or other major conflict has really only existed for about 60 years (the last 60 years) under the "American Moment" since WWII. The rest of human history has been pretty much miserable. To assume that things will continue to go along as they have for 60 years with only minor cultural shifts is present tense thinking. There is an Arabic saying which I think many western lefties should learn - which should help them understand just how ineffective appeasement will be: "A falling Camel Attracts Many Knives". In other words, the more we say "oh - I'm sorry let me change the script / cartoon / news reporting / laws to appease radical Islam" the more they will increase the level of violence in the knowledge that it is working.

A very typical lefty example of attacking people instead of fact. As for your article's CLAIM that no explanation for the building collapse is provided... FACT: We have been lied to," announces the Web site AttackOnAmerica.net. "The first lie was that the load of fuel from the aircraft was the cause of structural failure. No kerosene fire can burn hot enough to melt steel." The posting is entitled "Proof Of Controlled Demolition At The WTC." FACT: Jet fuel burns at 800° to 1500°F, not hot enough to melt steel (2750°F). However, experts agree that for the towers to collapse, their steel frames didn't need to melt, they just had to lose some of their structural strength--and that required exposure to much less heat. "I have never seen melted steel in a building fire," says retired New York deputy fire chief Vincent Dunn, author of The Collapse Of Burning Buildings: A Guide To Fireground Safety. "But I've seen a lot of twisted, warped, bent and sagging steel. What happens is that the steel tries to expand at both ends, but when it can no longer expand, it sags and the surrounding concrete cracks." "Steel loses about 50 percent of its strength at 1100°F," notes senior engineer Farid Alfawak-hiri of the American Institute of Steel Construction. "And at 1800° it is probably at less than 10 percent." NIST also believes that a great deal of the spray-on fireproofing insulation was likely knocked off the steel beams that were in the path of the crashing jets, leaving the metal more vulnerable to the heat. But jet fuel wasn't the only thing burning, notes Forman Williams, a professor of engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and one of seven structural engineers and fire experts that PM consulted. He says that while the jet fuel was the catalyst for the WTC fires, the resulting inferno was intensified by the combustible material inside the buildings, including rugs, curtains, furniture and paper. NIST reports that pockets of fire hit 1832°F. "The jet fuel was the ignition source," Williams tells PM. "It burned for maybe 10 minutes, and [the towers] were still standing in 10 minutes. It was the rest of the stuff burning afterward that was responsible for the heat transfer that eventually brought them down." STICK TO FACTS PLEASE -
From what I can gather roughly 3,000 US troops have died in Iraq. That's apparently about 1 month worth of Vietnam casualties. Doesn't sound too bad. If the worst the media can come up with in their daily wish for civil war is a car bomb or two, killing 20-40 people or so, is this war really so bad? I mean, aside from the peacniks who think there the only kind of war is no war, can someone please tell me what makes Iraq such a bad scene. When I compare it to other wars it looks about the same or even better. I seems our squeemishness has reached all time highs. People are dying!!! um - yea. It's called WAR.

Given your propensity for referring to Moslems as goat-herders, Argus, we can only conclude that you are a liberal. Ah, but my contempt is based on their lack of polish and sophistication, not their colouring. I hold them to the same standards I set for everyone else, and I find them wanting - to say the least. I wouldn't refer to you any more kindly, for the same reason. You should consider holding yourself to those standards and you won't come off sounding like an ignorant backwoods hick See? There it is again. someone points out obvious facts about deficiencies in a certain culture....for example Muslims marching in the streets carrying "death to jews" placards, and if you criticize it you are referred to as a "backwards hick". This is a prime example of how, more and more, it is lefty multiculties who are guilty of mass stereotypes without weighing the facts. Bigoted behavior. I obvioulsy don't have the same kind of technocolour imagination as you. All I saw was someone posing as an ignorant fool making a racist remark. But if you suggest then that when muslims march through the streets waving signs, that they represent all muslims.....then I gotta ask...(mass stereo types aside) what colour are the sheets in your compound? Ah yes - the old stadby "no jihad to see here" line commonly used by law enforcement, politicians and lefty posters. I always get a kick out of the "watch out for backlash against Muslims" routine after muslims blow themselves up in pizzarias, too. Great line: "Muslims fear repercussions from tommorrow's train bombing" hahahhaaaa. But I must ask you this: wouldn't you think there is something wrong in our society if we saw 10,000 white people marching through the streets yelling "Death to all Muslims"? We're not talking about 2-3 nutjobs with websites. We're takling about 10,000 people. That's disturbing.

This is precisely what I have been writing abobt ad nauseum for the past 2 years. For europe it is far too late - the demographics are already set in motion. Europeans don't have childeren at replacement rate while muslim communities procreate like its goin' outta style. Byt 2040 France will be the first Muslim Nuclear SuperPower (if it isn't already). It's not too lat ehere in Canada to grab hold of our identity, our culture and what we stand for. But by the time Canadian ultrasensitives wake up it WILL be too late. But while that multiculti muzzzak ("donnnnnnnn't offfend.....donnnnnnnnnnn't offend......") keeps numbing us all to sleep there are seriuos cultural, religious and demographic trends at play. Since when does anyone have the right not to be offended, anyway?

Sure, it proves my point that the US created a problem which did not exist before it invaded Iraq. If it had left Iraq alone there would less terrorism today and a reformist president would likely still be in place in Iran (the election of Ahmedinejad was yet another consequence of the American invasion). Bin Laden can say whatever he wants - it does not make it true. you're blind dude - that's pre-9-11 thinking. everythings ok -i'm ok - you're ok. we learned that the illusion of peace doesn't mean there actualy IS peace. now that we've uncovered the hatred that exists in the middle east it's better to deal with it upfront than to hide the reality, step back and wait until the next tipping point - ie. IRAN or something worse...

public or private shouldn't matter. regardless we should have the best mix of sporting players on any given team - which usually means men.
