No American should ever criticize Russians as being brainwashed. Americans are most likely the most brainwashed people of the entire world. My proof for saying this is that the US waged war with Iraq on false pretences and murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Americans still to this day deny their government's guilt in crimes that equal Nazi atrocities in sheer scale of egregious crimes against humanity. Yet Americans are incapable of seeing that reality because they see themselves as the good guys. Clearly, they are not!

You have absolutely no idea at all whether or not Hitler was mentally ill. Any knowledge you have of Hitler is through propaganda sources that demonize him. You would also be quite sure of other country's leaders being mentally ill if they have been demonized by the US or their lapdog Canada. As for leaders who are truly mentally ill and that deficit can be judged by their performance on the world stage, you won't understand that at all. George Bush 2 would be a good example of a world leader who could qualify as mentally ill, substantiated by his action of leading his country into a war on trumped up and phony pretences. You have become incapable of understanding and seeing reality. Congratulations on you achievement! As to Hitler: Learn something about Hitler and then come back and make the same proclamation based on real evidence. Some may start to take you seriously if you can make your case. In the meantime, you have succeeded in reducing your credibility to absolute zero. -
When you see a misspelled word it's always better to try to interpret what the word means rather than waste the time of everyone and disrupt the forum. You seem to like doing that quite a lot lately so I'll ask you what your purpose here is? Was it not obvious what I meant when I said expanision? Are you going to continue with this sort of behaviour? If so then I think I'll have to start reporting you for uh, do they call it trolling or something like that?

Let's all stop using the 'troll' accusation. It's only used when someone doesn't agree with another, but it's invalid as criticism. And let's stop the insulting. If someone is behaving badly then report it to the admin and maybe he/she will do something about it. -

Religion is at the root of the problem of course. The world is only now coming to realize that we are only another animal and we aren't somehow basically different. They all feel pain and suffering, both physical as well as emotional. If you don't fully understand that then you won't get the connection with religion. It's religion that has kept us backward and not understanding animals' feelings. If you truly didn't understand why religion is connected then I'm happy to have been of some help to you. -

The mistake you are making is that you're cherrypicking a few anecdotal stories to suit your agenda of hate for women's rights. In reality it's the woman that cares for the child in a huge majority of cases, probably well in excess of 99% of the cases of a broken family. In reality, there's no need to have mechanisms that hold women responsible. Again, in the lion's share of cases, if a woman leaves her children there are other reasons at play. Think abuse by her husband or mental illness, or, ........ But why are you doing this? I see this as unnatural behaviour that is possibly motivated by some sort of programming in childhood that has carried over to adult life. Do you have a better explanation? It's not natural behaviour to try to single out examples of women when men are perhaps a thousand times more likely to be the offenders. Do you think it's more prevalent with women than that? -
RT's perspective on Poroshenko. Well worth reading because we aren't going to get much else from the Western media. http://rt.com/op-edge/161688-ukraine-president-poroshenko-military-operation/ Sounds like he either changed his mind about dialogue with Russia or he's under political pressure to not talk to Russia. The people of the Ukraine are going to suffer and be held hostage to US/Nato ambitions. This is no surprise as it's nothing new.

O.k., you've convinced me, I don't care. -
Definitely keep the EU but the first important step is to see Germany pull away from US influence. That influence has crept into politics the same as the Nato influence has and Germany is unable to make wise decisions on relations with Russia. That's hurting the entire EU. Germany pulls the EU's strings. The US is pulling Germany's strings.

We should look to the Russians for MIG technology. It's usually superior and we won't need jets to fight the Russians anyway. The Russians 'aren't' coming and never were. Neither are the Chinese coming, except with more cheap goods for us. Unfortunately, the US will apply the heat to Harper's feet and we'll end up wasting billions. -

I don't think I can ever get used to it when a whole bunch of American children are slaughtered in their school by a gun. What would you expect us to do, laugh about it and look forward to the next shooting? And even if they only started to shoot the boys I still wouldn't be able to get used to it. Even though I've heard it said that that's one less or nineteen less innocent Muslims that won't get shot. Let's not get used to it. If Americans don't care about the alsughter of their children in their schools, we can still care. -

Most of the political right are Christians and Christians don't think animals are capable of the higher emotions such as fear or sadness. This has a lot to do with the reason why we continue to torture whales and dolphins and other highly intelligent animals in cages or small tanks. Capture a Christian and throw it in a tank! -
Let's wait and try to determine whether or not Russia has any plans on taking anything first. I'm fully convinced now that this had nothing to do with taking anything before the US/Nato attempted to bring the Ukraine into the fold. It resulted in a US loss so far so in that respect nobody should think it's over. The US/Nato has always had plans to encroach further on Russia's borders and isolate Russia.

Yeah, I was just about to correct it. I get the two confused for some reason?

I wouldn't say that Shady is playing dumb, he may truly not understand that sort of big words if English is not his first language. I didn't explain it because I didn't want to find out. I had made my point.

Canadian Military Staffed by Merit Or Diversity Targets?

There's nothing I can find racist in what I said but it seems you are trying to call me a racist. China is not bullying all it's neighbours, that's in your imagination. Weaponry is necessary for China to at least enable them to meet the world's real bully. You know, the one that's been running all over the world starting wars for the last 15 years since it wasn't threatened by a nuclear power. -

Why would anybody be fooled and think Justin Trudeau is in favour of aborting girls? It's ridiculous US style politics of trying to make him say something he didn't. I doubt any of the Canadian people will be fooled by it but it probably resonates with rabid righties who are already frothing at the mouth. -
Hillary obviously meant, what difference does it make if some Americans were killed in Benghazi. She doesn't care and that's why she must never become the president. What she really meant is that it doesn't ever make any difference if Americans were killed.

That sounds like you're telling him he's ignorant and so is embarrassing himself. Can you get away with that? And if so then can you come right out and call him ignorant? Being relatively new to this forum I would like to know. -
And we disagree over the cause of the trouble because I believe it was US/Nato plans of expanision right from the beginning. I find it strange that I have to reiterate that. And of course I understand your position. I don't consider your being offended to be valid and besides, I've already said that wouldn't be an issue for further discussion with me. The issue is clear and that's our disagreement over what side caused the trouble in the Ukraine and of course my assertion that the Yanukovich government was the democratically elected government and that US/Nato interference and it's covert support of the rebels was the cause of it's fall. And yes, I do understand that you feel that the Yanukovich government was to blame. Now it's time to move on and the logical place to move it in being 'vigilant' in observing why the trouble will continue. Accepting that some don't think it will continue.

What's your point? Until you come up with one then just count me out of a conversation with you. -
No, the Republican wingnuts shouldn't just get over it. This Benghazi thing now has the potential to hurt the Republicans while it has no likelihood of having any effect against Hillary Clinton. When this soon becomes obvious to the rightwingers it will be time for the Democrats to insist on carrying out the investigation. It's really become that bad now! All the visible complaints so far are just non-issues. Who cares about whether or not it was claimed to be about a movie? Who cares if it was about gunrunning to Syrian rebels? Isn't that really just a part of the Repubs own agenda? This thing has definitely fallen off the rails!

My point is that the secession by Crimea and the rebellion in other areas guaranteed that Russian-speakers would have a limited role What does "unitied" mean? As far as "rights" go Europe has made a career spanning centuries of denying rights to linguistic or ethnic minorities. Thank G-d the U.S. and Canada are better. Not perfect but better. What illusion? Your post is sliding into incoherence. What role do we have, other than NATO possibly determining that its vital interests are threatened. What do we need to be "vigilant" about? What does the word "socalled" mean? And aren't at least some of the masked separatists in fact associated with Russia's army? quote name="monty16" post="968230" timestamp="1401127427"] Why jbg, isn't that the egregious crime of the other side that started this whole affair? What "egregious crime"? I think we have to be vigilant in order to determine whether it is Russia continuing to cause the unrest or it's the US/Nato meddling in the Ukraine. The egregious crime of killing people on Yanukovich's and his government's behalf. You see, when separatists or terrorists or dissenters are killed in the streets for staging protests, we have to try to determine where the guilt should be placed. It's not always easy to do that and it begs the question if we think back to the Kent state massacre or to Tiannamen square. For the purpose of this conversation I'm taking no position on either of those two latter examples.

Like I said, that boat has sailed. Which also begs the question, what method do most Americans choose for their women's abortions? A rusty spoon or a coathanger. -

Maybe Americans are absorbed in wishful thinking and don't tell the truth? http://www.arcc-cdac.ca/postionpapers/54-US-Canada-Abortion-Law-Policy.pdf Which all makes it rather unlikely that Canadian women would choose the land of the gun for an abortion? Go figure?
