All They Need is a Handgun.

Castro, most likely at some time but definitely Saddam Hussein, Ghaddafi, Assad, North Korea's leaders, Ahmadinijad, and others. Are you trying to deny the facts by listing those of the 40's and 50's? Which ones that I've listed would you like proof for? http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Saddam+Hussein+insane&qpvt=Saddam+Hussein+insane&FORM=IGRE http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ghaddafi+insane&qpvt=ghaddafi+insane&FORM=IGRE http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=fidel+castro+insane&qpvt=fidel+castro+insane&FORM=IGRE http://michaeleichert.com/?p=239 http://michaeleichert.com/?p=239 the US will label all it's enemies and future intended enemies as insane because it's part of the demonizing propaganda that causes the people to hate and that soon fustifies the intended war. -
Sometimes there are more important things than just money. If you try to understand that then you may be able to understand that finding the aircraft could pay dividends that will eventually save money. Wouldn't that be in 'your' best interests?

All They Need is a Handgun.
monty16 replied to monty16's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The point that needs to be made is that all world leaders that the US opposes are sooner or later labelled as insane. Then the US commits crimes against humanity of far larger proportions than some of these country's leaders and are certainly not considered as being insane. So I agree, the US leaders who were responsible for the murder of millions in their wars of aggression are not insane. But then if makes it completely reasonable to not consider other leaders such as Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Johnson, Nixon, Assad, Saddam Hussein, or Ghaddafi as being insane. And some of those I've listed are responsible for the murder of few victims while others have been responsible for millions. It would serve everyone well to be more aware of the real facts of history rather than parroting US propaganda. By doing so we could at least take away any pretence of legitimacy the US claims when it starts another war for political or economic reasons that will profit the US. If there is only one good purpose for me personally on this forum it would be to help Americans see through their country's propaganda and start seeing the obvious truth that their country has become the pariah nation that is our greatest threat to future world peace. Their behaviour is only going to make it a certainty that more revenge attacks are going to happen. The next one may be in the form of 'a mushroom cloud'. For real! And not just trumped up to justify a war! For a start, Canadians can begin to understand so that we are no longer a willing participant. -

Be careful, you are getting back to your habit of personal insults again. You wrote: Always be aware of what you have said if past posts and thanks for ceasing with the personal insults! -
Is it better to accept Muslim immigrants who just think women should be wholly owned chattel than accept Americans who have knowingly acted out their hate toward Muslims by supporting the killing of them in illegal and immoral wars for oil? No American can take the high road. Question any who even try!

Such a difficult concept for Americans to understand when they can't understand the common good to begin with. Screw the other states even though they are part of what they call a country. It's a country for war making and little else.

Trudeau Jnr adopts Wedge Politics
monty16 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
As is typical of the rabid right, Harper only takes a side when he knows it's popular. At least until they are elected and then they show their true colours. It's never a matter of principal with the frothing at the mouth conservative, it's a matter of profits for them and their supporters while ignoring the social values for which Canada has always stood. -

I too think that cyber has described you correctly. It's really pretty obvious that those opposing mainstream science are only doing it for political and economic reasons. It's over now Tim and it's time to either back away from the debate to save face or come over to the side of right. Take cyber's comment seriously for your own good or just continue to be the subject of our mirth! Be thankful he wasted that amount of time on you! -
The upside of this is Sterling has damaged his reputation and that can kill him quicker than he would have just died from old age. He's an ugly old man whose persona is seen as attracting beautiful women and that's the way he wants to be known. Now he is being known as a racist hating old white man and his biggest cause is to clean up that image with his money. In the US there may be just enough of his ilk in the general population to let him do that. Hence, the sympathy he gets for the trouble he has caused himself.

To debate with someone who characterizes the growing problems caused by fossil fuel as 'threatening some low-lying land, would be to indulge in a senseless argument. When you stop rejecting rational debate in favour of ignorance of the issues then I will perhaps talk to you on the issues.

No, it's not odd at all. It's just that you choose to not understand and accept the truth. For example, a nation that is a hating cesspool of racism would not be a nation that is 100% racist. In fact, it could be labelled that if as little as 25% of the people were hating racists. The US easily qualifies in my opinion but you could differ with that and give an explanation. Likewise, a nation that could be labelled a nation that hates women could consist of as little as 25% frothing at the mouth, rabid righties. There's no need to be anywhere near 100% woman haters. Why is there a need to explain something so simple to Americans? Would anybody say that India gives women equal rights, yet be cognizant of the fact they elected Indira Ghandhi many years ago? I would suggest that your Americnan style politics is what leads you to come to such ridiculous conclusions. Your flagwaving is convincing you to defend your country's evil instead of thinking rationally. You only need to understand that Canadians in general would prefer to not do that too. -
The American mindset is not to help people who would commit horrendous mass murders, it's to jail them for a while and harden them more. Then they make sure the weapon to commit the crime is easily available because it's dere rits! Sit down and break out the popcorn and let's not fret about something they alone can fix. Hollywood fiction can't compete with this stuff!

Should I have also mentioned American leaders who carpet bombed the Vietnamese and Cambodian people for some trumpe dup reason to do with dominoes falling? Mental illness? Let's leave that to the experts who don't have a political football to throw around. -

You're very good at conjuring up imaginary situations aren't you Tim! Always look for some USBS extreme and never look for the norm. If Canadians follow that lead we can turn our country into the hating cesspool of racism and hate for women that the US has become. How about some more good advice Tim? -
F-35 Purchase Cancelled; CF-18 replacement process begins
monty16 replied to Moonbox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You have to come to the understanding that if something happens then it's because we, in concert with the US, caused it to happen. That is just about the only threat left in the modern world where there is the nuclear deterrent that prevents something happening that can be defended against. Russia is not coming. China is not coming. The only thing that is possibly coming is a revenge strike frome those we have given legitimate cause to become our enemies. WE know who they are and we should be able to easily figure out how to lower the likelihood of an attack that can't be defended against. We don't want to learn the hard way on our very own 9/11. -
There's also a likelihood that politics and propaganda has seeped into the whole thing and we are getting stories that are politically correct for our ears. The biggest interest in finding the thing is most likely to discover the method used to take out an airliner with an explosive device that was undetectable. Bad for airline business! Really bad for the American mindset of invulnerability!

F-35 Purchase Cancelled; CF-18 replacement process begins
monty16 replied to Moonbox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Let's cancel the whole Canadian military and build a large coast guard. The Russians aren't coming and never were. Neither are the Chinese, the Indians, the Pakistanis, the North Koreans, the Iranians, or the other bad guys the US has imagined. We can't be so sure about the Iraqis intent on revenge or maybe the Americans due to their track record over the last 15 years. Jet planes won't do any good for protecting against those. -

monty16 replied to Bob Macadoo's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Decent Canadians understand the issue completely. It's about giving women the right to abortions if they consider it necessary. We also understand that abortion is not the desirable outcome and therefore we need to take the socially responsible position of attempting to minimize the need for abortions before the fact. Let's not let the Americans slither into our politics and attempt to make it some other way. If we could trade Alberta for Washington or California then we would probably have less problems in my opinion. -
I can put it into a black and white issue very easily. Khadr was an enemy combatant aged 15 and is not guilty of any crime other than fighting in Afghanistan on the side of right. The only confusion that has developed over the whole thing is because Canada hasn't got the huevos to just say "NO" to the US. We need to replace our government with one that does have the huevos to say "NO".

Five Taliban For One American Soldier
monty16 replied to Big Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If the guy wasn't sympathetic to the Taliban then he would have been brainwashed into hating others for no good reason. That's the norm in the US military and so it's being questioned now. Interesting that even Wilkerson understands that and is not afraid to say it in public. re: The Chris Hayes show on MSNBC. In any case, he'll be defended by his political side which is now the Democrats and condemned by the other side for purposes of bashing on Obama more. It'll all work out and he can become a senator just like McCane for being a songbird. It's just going to be the other party's. Crass, hypocritical, and dishonest are just a few words to describe American politics and the lemmings who are taken in by it all. It doesn't mean though that Canadians shouldn't be able to see through the smoke screen. -
If fossil energy sources became immediately unavailable, those sources would be replace immediately with other sources of energy that we require to exist. The only argument against that fact would be, at what cost. At what cost do we continue to hang onto fossil fuels? The question can't even begin to be considered until we are willing to accept that we threaten our future existence by relying on fossil fuels.
