From superpower perspective, the USA and EU used this as an opportunity to encroach on Russia militarily, and they've done that by shipping arms to Ukrainian troops. That means putting western weaponry on Ukranian soil. Canada's contribution will go in the same pile. We're already making proud sounding political announcements of armoured vehicles being "made in London, Ontario". (Recent Trudeau soundbite). That's right. Look how I got jobs for you.

With this post you are blending two alternate realities as though they are one. We are fortunate to not be bombed, so we can sit back and think about what the problem is. Without being emotionally tied. Historians todat attribute the rise of extremism in Germany was what created the condition for Hitler to come to power. Secondly the Versaille treaty which plunged Germany into financial despair and angered Germans. Hitler was an angry man. He wrote about what he would do in Mein Kampf written in 1925. Was the greatest best seller in German history, outselling the bible. People gave lavishly bound copies as wedding presents. The Germans knew fully well what they were getting when they elected him. Putin has been in power for a long time, he didn't publish a manifesto, nor demonstrate a strong desire to spread out for lebensraum. A term Hitler used to justify the invasions. That's why I say, forget about Hitler. Putin is reacting to recent events that lead back to a period before the war. What was the situation in Ukraine before this whole conflict began? Go back to when Ukraine was stable and quiet. What happened from then until now? These are things historians look into, to see the cause and effect. Doesn't mean we approve of anything. I reserve my judgement. But in the end defer to a position of defence for the people, the ones who's lives are being destroyed while superpowers posture themselves and exchange mega billions of fast money. Move the cash ina briecase, along with guns and bombs. The engine of capitalist economy fires up, now it burns bright. Ahh, nice and warm!

I summarized the history. You have nothing to add. Your last three posts to me were just ad hominem (concerning me, not the topic) and arguments based on your feelings. That and "Hitler! Hitler! Hitler!" Do you realize you are a cheerleader for war that your leadership is very happy about, wants to continue indefinitely. Not even a thought about finding a solution to end the violence. "Never! It's appeasement! Rah Rah Rah!"

Binary thinking is a grotesque oversimplification. Choose one from column A or one from B. Thats all you get, but free to choose. You are now giving trust and putting faith in the same liars who failed in every other way, the people who run things. You believe them. You stood in line. Affixed your mark. Signed on. You bought the Brooklyn Bridge.

It makes sense to classify and control it like alcohol. That is, only legally obtainable at state-sanctioned outlets, and not consumable in public spaces. If it works would reduce hazardous needle waste and maybe overdoses as well. Today the real thing IS fentanyl. That is what the addicts really want. The Liberal government's 'safer supply' is fuelling a new opioid crisis "In this special report, columnist Adam Zivo details how drugs handed out for free are being sold on the black market to fund fentanyl addictions."

Let's just hope they stick to this attitude, because last time they started out with thr lovey dovey peace and understanding, till it finally morphed into the PM snarling about "racists and misogynists" who should not be tolerated.

I haven't seen you giving any facts yet, other than getting angry. We all want the war to stop and have to be realistic. Immediate calls for ceasfire from all around may help. Giving away 20 billion Canadian dollars in total with no end in sight, (and one can surely assume with the usual level of government oversight in these things, IE - nil) will keep the violence going, but there won't be a resolution by military means.

Thread's not about me, but the facts. So grow up little fella. And facts are that US and EU like this war. Whether they started it or not could be debated, although it would not be the first time that a war between two countries was provoked by a third country. That's old school Machiavellian. That book was written 500 years ago. Get with the times. Ukrainians approved of their economic relations with Russia, and rejected the idea of free trade with the EU in the landslide victory of Yanukovych's party in 2012. This election gave him the mandate to reject the EU deal. Two years later he was ousted during violent protests and unrest. The protest movement was directly funded by the US, who gave 5 billion to promote "better democracy" in the Ukraine after Yanukovych announced he would reject the WEF sponsored globalist free trade package. This left Russia and the Ukraine as the only countries who did not sign on to partnership with the WEF. You do the math.

No, Reductio ad Hitlerum simply means people who like to invoke Hitler in an argument usually don't know what they're talking about. It's a cheap tactic, and weak. It also shows a lack of understanding of history. Don't quit your day job. Not much different to the cheerleaders of war. Soon you'll see how much morality costs. Don't polish your halo yet...

She's been wearing a mask on the job for almost a month now. But they use masks during their normal infection protocol, so it's not that different. Other than now wearing it all day long instead of just for one procedure. Does she agree that forcing people to get the mrna jab or be excommunicated is over the top? Sure. That wearing masks of poor fit or quality could make you feel safe when you're really not, and increase your risk? Yes. That it's better to go outside and get some fresh air, and eat a peck of dirt each day, than stay in the basement? Boo yeah

Their fear drives them into hiding, which only makes them weaker. My fearful double masking 5x injected coworker was off the whole week, bedridden. Not just a little sick. Totally down and out... Meanwhile I stand tall, walking in grace on a road that leads to compassion and mercy for the least of these. Not, government mandates.

No, not a total fool. But to the people who died in old age homes, it was certainly the ones who were most near the end. To some by then the end is not unwelcome. They don't even have a choice. Bed ridden in a diaper, unable to do anything, unable to communicate, confused, drooling existence. Their minds are gone but the body continues. For them the flu comes through like a might wave, like an angel of merciful death. Let the suffering and loss of dignity be over. You had a good run. As opposed to, preserve life at all cost, keep them alive by any means available. Give them the shots for Covid 19.
