  1. Justin Trudeau the Bold, effectively silenced-

Trudeau Suggests It’s Not His Place To Condemn Trump’s Migrant Child Policy

When asked in the HOC what he was going to do about it, he said

"From the very beginning I have been very clear on the role that Canadians expect of me — to stand up firmly and unequivocally for our values, for our interests, to protect Canadians and to make sure that we're doing well, as well as having a constructive relationship with the United States," Trudeau said. "That's what we're going to remain focused on. What we will not do, is play politics with this."

In other words "I was told to shut my mouth, and that's what I'ma gonna do."

That situation wasn't the result of a president's policy, but it still sounds terrible. Why wasn't the media covering that?...oh, I guess it did. So what's your point?

Of course it sounds terrible... and it is! However this recent move doesn't make things much better. When these people are incarcerated, they're put into full-on prisons for adults, which is not the place for a child to be. This policy change is hardly a good solution and still puts the children in jeopardy .

It is also noted from some of scribblet's links that the Canadian government, under Trudeau, has been doing exactly the same thing, as did previous US administrations. This hypocrisy speaks of the left using the kids as pawns for their own political gain. Why hasn't the media covered that, Bubber?

    4. BubberMiley

      BubberMiley

The link didn't indicate it was the same thing, but it was media coverage. So your premise is incorrect on two counts.

Besides, what are Trudeau's options? How would you suggest he handle it differently?

I think the way Trudeau is handling it now is quite good.

From comedic impersonation to writing books, and now.......even sketchers seem to be cashing in on Trump.    I'd never known sketchers to be signing their sketches - at least, not the ones for BOLO - be on look out.

      Anyway.....it does looks like......Tom Brady!

That is because Putin set out to make it worse. At every step along the way he has demonized the West and used it as a bogeyman to cement his corrupt grip on power. Like Hitler, he has to have an enemy to justify all those secret police and spies and the billions going to the military while people live in shacks.

Yet less than a month ago, CNN posted material indicating Putin was Donald Trump's top adviser on Syria. Trump pulling US troops out, at Putin's bidding. Trump is Putin's man in the White House. Trump congratulating Putin on his election win. Trump meeting with Russian ambassadors, in private. Trump/ Russia collusion now in plain sight.

  19. Trudeau to injured Canadian veterans - We cannot give you more.

A former soldier who lost a leg in Afghanistan was critical of Ottawa’s plan to reform some veteran’s programs, including changes to disability pensions. “I was prepared to be killed in action,” said Brock Blaszczyk, a former corporal who lost his left leg to a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. “What I wasn’t prepared for, Mr. Prime Minister, is Canada turning its back on me.”

To shouts and boos from the crowd, Trudeau defended his government’s changes to veteran pensions. “Why are we still fighting against veteran’s groups in court? Because they are asking for more than we are able to give right now,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau entered the hall in Edmonton’s MacEwan University to mixed chorus of applause and boos. His answers were interrupted periodically through the night by angry shouts.

    I don't see you doing a lot!

    1. betsy

      betsy

We cannot give you more.......because we've got them earmarked for rewards or compensations to Islamist terrorists!  The returning ones - who joined the fight killing your fellow-soldiers, and who probably had a hand in maiming you  - will have to be helped back into society, too.

Same with victims of Residential Schools.  Be grateful you're getting anything at all.  Too bad you suffered injustice at the actual hand of the government (the government actually ripped your families apart, and was complacent in the abuse that befell you)  - but you're not Islamists. So, there!

  20. You can read the entire, very interesting  Mueller report here-

    Link

    Highlights:
    - Russian agents funded political protests on both sides, with the intent to increase division in society.
    - The goal was to spread distrust towards the candidates and the political system in general.
    - The project had multiple components, some targeting foreign audiences in various countries.
    - Conspirators also created thematic group pages on social media sites, including the Black Lives Matter movement (with group names including "Blacktivist"), "United Muslims of America" and "Army of Jesus")' and certain geographic regions within the United States (with group names including "South United" and "Heart of Texas"). By 2016, the size of many organization-controlled groups had grown to hundreds of thousands of online followers. The goal was to create distrust of the police and government authorities, and to divide the country.
    - Much more...

LonJowett,  Unlike the reckless  Trudeau (who jumped right away believing the Muslim girl-hijab-scissor incident, and the latest Stanley-Boushie controversy), Trump was being diplomatic as the nation's leader.

He can't jump to conclusions without any evidence..... after all, there are pro-Clinton and anti-Trump  in the establishment that want to get rid of him at whatever cost.  Claiming he is pro-Russia is one of them.

Ask yourself:  why was Trump defending Russia even when he's being accused of colluding with Putin?  You'd think he'll distance himself real fast!  Because there was no evidence at the time!!!
