  1. Apparently, my statement was thought to be too inflammatory? Don't you guys have big enough boot straps to handle this?
  2. I only see hatred monty and I just don't get how your thread filled with hatred is allowed to remain on this forum. It is truly distrubing that it wasn't removed. I would like to know why it wasn't removed. Is there any valid reason for this thread to remain?
  3. Can you enjoy a bit of humour?
  4. Don't waste your time Jacee and don't allow them their platform to disrespect fellow human beings. It's quite simply, not worth it. They can desensitize all they want down to a scientific level and forgo the human element. Good for them.
  5. The poster has said that his purpose is to incite hatred blah blah blah. so why is this thread still on here. I was astonished to see it still here. It is troubling for me and maybe others to post to a forum that allows this thread. Perhaps the folks in charge here can explain why this thread still remains, because, quite frankly, I am disturbed by allowing this hatred to persist. I don't feel comfortable contributing to a site that allows this. Can we have some feedback on this thread and why it is allowed to remain?
  6. Aren't you the one who suggested women think with their vagina's? Given that, you deserve no educated response from educated women who think from more than their vagina's.
  7. Do you even get this idea of transporting bitumen from Alberta to Asia? Have you studied the route? Until you do, don't even weigh in on this conversation.
  8. Thanks for addressing that Jacee. I had no clue how to address such a disrespectful post. Sometimes these posts leave me flabbergasted and all I can do is ignore.
  9. Stanley Park was voted the best park in the world today by TripAdvisor. It even beat out Central Park. Let's think for a second about the tourism implications not just for BC but for the rest of Canada. This recognition will put Canada on the map for a while. Now, let's imagine that an oil spill has devastated parts of BC along the coastline. BC would no longer be rated as any best 'whatever' in the world and there goes BC's tourism industry overnight. Not to mention the rest of Canada.
  10. The point of my post was to draw attention to the washroom issue in BC. Many children identify with a gender when it isn't obvious to others. Should they have to do their business in the school yard or can they use a washroom inside the school.
  11. This has got to be the worst thread I have ever seen on this forum since I have joined.
  12. That was very funny, I thought they got them all right!
  13. The human race also has "Intersex” which is: "a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male. For example, a person might be born appearing to be female on the outside, but having mostly male-typical anatomy on the inside. Or a person may be born with genitals that seem to be in-between the usual male and female types—for example, a girl may be born with a noticeably large clitoris, or lacking a vaginal opening, or a boy may be born with a notably small penis, or with a scrotum that is divided so that it has formed more like labia. Or a person may be born with mosaic genetics, so that some of her cells have XX chromosomes and some of them have XY." Intersex children identify with a male or female identity. Which bathroom should they use? Neither? Should they use the schoolyard to do their business?
  14. Why not just prevent members from ignoring posts that contribute to a thread. Only allow ignores on personal messages.
  15. You cannot possibly present economic benefits without presenting negative consequences in the event of a major oil spill such as environmental costs, health costs and economic costs to the province of BC.
  16. You are perhaps forgetting that BC is taking the most risk with these pipelines traversing very rough and isolated lands and tankers plying their way through BC water's to transport toxic bitumen to Asia.
  17. I have no doubt it will happen.
  18. You are right that land claims/titles scares the oil companies and the federal government the most!
  19. This is where the entire country and federal government have underestimated British Columbians. It's not just hipsters and First Nations lobby groups. It is every town that this pipeline will go through, every community along the coast where those tankers will pass by. It will be a big fight and remains to be seen who will win, however I am not optomistic that the federal government will listen to the people of BC.
  20. I don't think they will support or accept it, however I think that the project will go ahead regardless of what British Columbians think and regardless of what contracts/proposals the Premier does or doesn't approve. In the end, the federal government will ram those pipelines through British Columbia and those oil laden tankers will pass through pacific waters on their way to Asia.
  21. You bet they have their ducks in a row. It will be an interesting ride for BC'ers in the next few years.
  22. Of course they don't have to reply to every post. However, they are contributing blindly when they are not aware of the other relevant information posted in the thread.
  23. There is plenty new here. The law society has never had to deal with a christian university implementing a law program that forces legally married gay students to sign a covenant promising they won't have sex. This is absolutely new for Canada.
