  1. You know truthfully, I'm not really sure. I no longer have kids in the education system but having listened to many callers on cbc, I do have to agree that it sounds like the bc govt is doing some pretty shady shit here.
  2. Call in shows are quite representative of the public. But having said that, let's give 40.00 per day per child up to 13 years of age while teachers are on strike. Can we call this 'buying parent's support'
  3. Not true as far as the public is concerned. If you listen to the parents calling in to cbc radio and other media, they are absolutely against this charade. They want this money put towards the education system instead of lining parents pockets with 40.00 a day. They can see past Christie Clark. And I am a Christie Clark support for the most part but I disagree with her on this very major issue. We need to put money back into the education system.
  4. What you are missing here is the empathy jaycee feels for innocent palestinian families. Someone mentioned earlier in this thread or perhaps another thread on this very subject, that there are many people who feel no empathy for the innocent victims here which fuels the war. Rightly so.
  5. It's dreadful the way you guys are spreading this disguist. Have you no shame.
  6. LOL??? Not a laughing matter. And you have a problem feeling sorry for the women and children? I really don't understand what you are getting at it here and why you find my post so offensive? Are you just beating up on me personally?
  7. Signatures are tongue in cheek. I have no disdain for men, however I have high approval for equal rights for women in society. Until we get the same equalities as men get both professionally and personally, I feel I can express my thoughts anyway I please. I, however, do not hate men, I rather like men! The woman who came up with this signature has many more that I can share with you if you like.
  8. I do agree. Put that money into the education system in BC.
  9. I should start a new thread about it.
  10. Did I offend your delicate sense of equality? And let's get real here. ln times of war, men are either shot dead, taken hostage, left for dead, or off fighting the battles. The women are left behind to fend for the kids. So, let's not get too offended about this statement.
  11. My god, honestly are some of you men getting into a fit about my signature!
  12. If you were to re-read my statements, I was discussing his statements on 'rape'. Perhaps you need to go away, chill out and learn how to read.
  13. Of course I don't believe this. It was said 'tongue in cheek'. There is a poster here who thinks that women who vote 'liberal' while JT is the leader are thinking with their vaginas.
  14. It doesn't matter who the perpetrator is, the effect is the same on the victim for many many years to come. He is trying to judge the impact of what a victim goes through, depending on the severity of the crime. The end result is someone was 'raped', followed by years of self destruction for many victims. It doesn't matter if it was a date rape or being raped with the threat of a knife.
  15. Of course it's all unreliable! All scientists have unscrupulous motives.
  16. I can't even imagine the Palestinian mothers with babies and young children, having no power, no where to run. It's a travesty on both sides.
  17. It may be one of the worst days in Canada for you but not everyone. "Forum has the Grits at 44 per cent support, followed by Stephen Harper's Tories at 28 per cent and Thomas Mulcair's NDP at 18 per cent. Trudeau has the highest approval rating of the main three federal leaders at 46 per cent, followed by Mulcair at 40 per cent and Harper at 33 per cent."
  18. You misundstood OGFT's reference to the internet and books. He was referring to your claim that boots need to be on the ground to do research on women in Afghanistan. That's not true, there are books and of course the internet to conduct research, even on women that were once upon a time not so very long ago, treated much differently then they are now, and yes even educated and practicing their professions.
  19. You are telling us information that we already know. Easily found on the internet, no reason for boots on the ground to do research. Your posts continue to degrade the history of women in Afghanistan and you refuse to acknowledge it. But hey, I hope you enjoy your view on the world.
  20. If the liberals win, it can be said that it is true that women think with their vaginas and they came out in a united front to vote in the sexy man.
  21. It offends me in the way that he minimizes the impact of rape depending on the perpetrator, which is wrong. He did also come out with a statement later, "he said he ‘was only talking logic’, and had ‘no desire to make light of the seriousness of any kind of rape or [sic] pedophilia’. When in fact, that is exactly what he did I also find this statement ridiculous that was mentioned above : "Though this isn't the first time he's said stuff that angers radical feminists." What exactly are radical feminists and are all these people offended, 'radical feminists' (whatever the hell that means).
  22. Plus, JT is pretty sexy.....
  23. They are protecting their citizens with the Iron Dome. Their citizens are safe against Hamas. Israel is reacting over the top with the killings of innocent Palestinian families. This is what everyone seems to forget. There are innocent Palestinian families being massacred as we speak.
  24. I don't answer hypothetical questions. It's a ridiculous question. I am more focused on a resolution to this conflict.
