For some reason this sounds like you are trivializing domestic violence. Let's remember his partner was knocked unconcious and could quite easily have died. The video showed a violent assault. Why didn't he have to serve time in prison? I just don't get it. Was it because he want on to marry her? Because he was a NFL player?

Sounds like someone speaking from a pedestal casting judgement on two parent working families. To suggest that parents no longer want to raise their own children is ludicrous. Do you have any idea how much it costs to purchase a home on the west coast? It take 2 incomes to support a family, purchase a home and provide all those childhood perks (lessons etc). You are right that full time kindergarten is a means to provide free daycare to parents. What is the alternative? Do you have a cite that shows 2 parents in a workforce causes deflation in wages and inflation in prices?

I'm pretty sure the issues are far too complex to be resolved in a couple of weeks for 'these people'. And how exactly could they have changed their current government within a few weeks? And how could they have changed the # of white people vs black people on the grand jury? Did the citizens of Ferguson have the power to do that?

Social media is available to everyone for viewing. If someone thinks they can post a sexist or racist comment on social media and think there will be no consequences are simply deluding themselves. Honestly, you think we have an 'outrage police force' out there looking to get people fired and ruin their lives? Who is paying this police force and who are they reporting to?

I am not being patronizing. You need to take a look at the protests across your country. The decision made yesterday in Ferguson certainly affects a minority and you know it.

Many people will of course ignore the protestors. I am not a u.s. citizen so I cannot pick my battles on this one. However, I can state my thoughts on this issue. And this is one that I will certainly voice my opinions.

This is exactly what I mean. "some of you". We have protestors across the U.S. tonight that no one can ignore. Does that give you any indication at all that something is seriously wrong with the decision of the grand jury? Many don't see the injustice but perhaps that is an issue that needs to be dealt with. Why don't 'many of us' not see the injustice when so many others do?

This thread is too focused on left and right individuals and not on people simply seeking the right for equal justice.

It doesn't depend on the action of others. This decision affects all minority citizens across the rest of the country.

Bob McCulloch had no intention of seeking charges. He did not recommend any charges and he basically pulled the puppet strings on this grand jury inquiry.

What's unfortunate is that the parents of Michael Brown are subjected to comments like 'the death of a troubled youth'. As far as I can tell, Michael Brown was a graduate of a college, and was experimenting with rap music, including writing his own lyrics. Is there any indication that he was a troubled youth? He seemed to me to be just like any other teenager grappling with teenage angst (regardless of his size).
