  1. That makes sense....Trump is the U.S. president that ruined the coronation of Hillary Clinton. The tears flowed readily for them while Trump supporters mocked and laughed in glee. The world's biggest wars have never been started by a U.S. president. Perhaps, but CanAm relations have been up and down many times. Trudeau is a minor player even compared to past PMs. To the average American....Justin Trudeau is completely harmless.

  2. Two mile (3.22km) long line to see Trump at rally in Missouri. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/09/amazing-two-mile-long-line-for-trump-rally-in-springfield-missouri/

  3. That is a good question in which we already know the answer. Russia and Syria has done more to push out ISIS than the US/Israel/Saudi Arabia combined. So I am with you, I do not believe that our 'coalition' is actually against ISIS. Most of what we tend to do in Syria only helps the terrorists (aka rebels). This was ALL predictable and mostly expected if anyone actually pays attention to what has been happening in Syria for the last 6-8 years. I even made that prediction, and apparently I am as dumb as shit.

  4. I don't care how you do your assessment. I didn't vote for you to be the Premier of Ontario - nor do I think you even ran for that position! As you'd said, ONTARIO IS BROKE! Lol, I already suspected that even before he came to power! Typical - we're all for getting rid of the deficits and climbing out of the hole - but only, if we're not affected in any way! He's gotta start somewhere! He can't afford to please everyone, he's got to be firm if he wants to achieve his goal - which is getting rid of the deficit! So, Toronto council cut it is! You don't like it, you don't agree - too bad - vote him out next time. Streamlining the government and saving through efficiency, are among the reasons I voted for Ford! Even if he touches and streamline the city where I am - I'm okay with that. I want him to do what he promised! I want to see the deficit down, or gone! That's what happens when you're broke - and you want to get out of being broke! You tighten up your belt! Unless, you can come up and produce a money tree - then, we're all laughing! Maybe you do, but I don't want more of the same - like, the Liberals playing shell-game with our money! And, this isn't about me! I gather you didn't vote for him. Well, I did! Enough said!

  5. If they can't guilt certain republicans to vote against Kavanaugh, then they can all claim victim status and use it to try to turn women voters against the republicans for the mid-terms. I'd say Ford is a patsy, but as every day progresses, I think she has a political agenda she's trying to fulfill too. Whatever the details, it's all a load of manipulation.

  7. Well, if the goal of Canada's bizarrely large immigration program is integration, perhaps we'll have no choice but to assert an integrative imperative. I wonder how many of the women who wear the accoutrements of religious fundamentalism are gainfully employed? I believe that to encourage such self-othering behavior is to encourage ongoing social and economic division. Many will eventually say something to the effect that 'they can wear whatever nonsense they want but don't expect us to subsidize them'. We have to be sensible. As my mother, who was an immigrant, used to say about adapting to Canadian norms, including the ones she didn't like, "When in Rome...."

  8. Wrong. "Security risk" means anyone with their face covered in public. You glossed over that point before - just like motorcycle helmets and balaclavas are not allowed in certain areas. Security risk. I think it's natural to fear security risks. Yes. We dislike niqabs. They are the antithesis of everything we believe in. Or do you not agree with that? You are suggesting that we learn to love niqabs and think they're great and if we don't like them, then the problem is with US?? What is wrong with disliking niqabs? Tell us what you like about them, so we can all love them like you do. But again, my point was there IS a security risk in niqabs (You insist there is NO security risk) and it is not just "fear of women in veils" as you suggest. And it's more than dislike of them. There is no demonstrable value to society in niqabs. In fact, they are bad for society, as we can all see from 57 Muslim majority countries and their appalling record of women's rights.

  9. dialamah: Perhaps those who champion Muslim customs should try living in a Muslim theocracy for a few years. Maybe they'd return with a different view. Most Westerners likely find religious facial coverings off-putting. It's not about fear per se but rather about a custom many understandably consider to be alienating. I wonder if those who choose to don such attire understand the discomfort it engenders in Western societies? I suspect many do.
