  2. https://globalnews.ca/news/8376304/covid-vaccine-refusal-termination-poll/ And I am one of them. Vaccination against Covid is NOT a choice you think you can have with your body because your chances of getting infected without full vaccine is much higher and hence the chances of transmission to others (your family, friends, innocent bystanders) are much higher. Governments can indeed mandate vaccination for the good of citizens same way they mandate the crossing of red traffic light or driving after drinking in order to protect the public. If you are unvaccinated walking among us then you are the enemy and you should be treated as such.

  3. Well it was only a matter of time before the left started to wig out a little bit more than usual, frustrated things are not going fast enough or to his liking David Suzuki suggests that pipe lines in Canada might start blowing up if things don't follow the right path that he has envisioned... I guess this confirms what most of us thought all along, David is gone over the edge... don't worry he was not a climatologist, and climate change is safe for now, but i think it is safe to cross him off the reliable source list. 'Pipelines will be blown up' says David Suzuki, if leaders don't act on climate change (msn.com) And now His own foundation is distancing itself from him...I guess he did not read the fine print no whacko's allowed.. you think there is a retraction on the way.... well if david is expecting to get back into the foundations good books there is going to be one...Or will we see him tossed for his own foundation. Stay tuned to "what will those crazy lefties do today" David Suzuki Foundation disavows Suzuki's warning that 'pipelines will be blown up' if there is no climate change action (msn.com)

  4. I think the pandemic has uncovered more weaknesses in our health care system than just adding a few beds, it has proven All our major hospitals are ill prepared in beds , equipment like ventilators etc, every department is under staffed, not enough people cross trained to work in other departments, all of our PPE is made else where in the world and supply chain can easily be broken, same as our critical medical equipment, not to mention our long term care homes, no standards of health care to be provided , critical shortage of trained staff, basically a shit show from top to bottom... As for pandemics it is not every 50 years, 1981-2000 aids was considered a pandemic, 2003 we had SAR's, 2009 we had H1N1, and now in 2020 we have Covid 19 so as pandemics go they are happening more often and getting deadlier. but despite all that we have learned nothing, nor done nothing. Today we have medical personal working 12 to 18 hours a day, because they are short staffed, we have looked at making PPE here in Canada , i do not know if that is still an issue, but medical machines they to are unknown. additional ICU beds can be used for many different reasons, mass causality events, pandemics, natural disasters, Hospitals are being used to warehouse our elderly until beds open up in long term homes, to the point regular beds are in short supply as well...Perhaps we could go to a system like some European countries do, Free education, with for every year of schooling is a year you owe in public service until your debt is paid .. Where is all this funding coming from, well no one blinked an eye when we spent 30 bil to start plus 9 bil each year for child care...the question has to be asked what is more important health care or child care spaces...i'm sure 39 bil would make a huge dent in our health care, and that is just one social program that could be looked at , there are a lot more that Justin could cancel...plus if there was anything that would trump anything else i would have put health care on the top of the list... while nice to haves like child care would be closer to the bottom. Now if it did mean higher taxes form a much improved health care system, sign me up, waiting more than 14 hours to see someone to get prescriptions renewed is crazy...

  6. First, you insult the public service without any evidence. You throw dispersions around like confetti but never back them up. If you think you can do better, run for office. Second, this late in the pandemic, you could spend even more billions to increase the number of icu beds, and when they are ready, covid will be over, hopefully, and we will have a lot of empty, very expensive icu beds, until the next plague sweeps through in 40 or 50 years, by which time, they will be obsolete. Plus, you can increase the number of beds but staffing them will take a lot longer. I doubt the taxpayers are willing to do that. Just look at what happens when the Government adds a few cents onto a litre of gasoline. It is a lot cheaper and more efficient to get everyone vaccinated. We may have to take Austria's solution. In the BC Forest Service, when there was a major fire, we conscripted people. "You are going to fight fire or go to jail."

  11. Sadly we are all Keynsians now. Too many dollars in the system are essentially the cause of inflation. Central banking basically is at the core of it.

  13. I think the senator needs to come into the 21 century, where women have fought for equal rights to the point their rights are enshrined in law, They fought to have all military occupations open to women, and won, they fought to have standards lowered so more women could be entitled to serve in any occupation they wanted... And now we are saying hey i don't want my daughter to be drafted... Come on... where in the your constitution does it say women can not defend or fight for your country... It is not in there, They have equal rights , now get ready to use them...They have been incorporated into the US fighting forces, driven there by women's rights and human rights groups... time for thinking about draft restrictions is long past... buck up soldier, the battle is to your front. . grab your kit and start running to your trench. Your military is going to use draftees as combat replacements, for men and women who have been taken out of the order of battle for some reason or another, such as death or being wounded, or MIA... and i'm sure they are going to use common sense when they place them in various units, If they can perform to the same level or same standard who cares if they have breast or not, we all bleed the same color and in the states thats red , white and blue... don't want women in the draft then change everything else that goes along with it.. Women have served in combat positions since the beginning of time, and you don't need balls to pull a trigger just nerves of steel. I don't think this is a problem created by women, rather it is another attempt by men to exclude them. I've fought with and along side of women in our nations military, and i can say with confidence that those that made the standards could fight as good or better than i. and they paid the same price for our nation. infact i would dare someone to tell them other wise, you would be pulling their boot from your ass. ... They have paid for that right in sweat, blood and tears, serving one countries is no longer just a mans job...

  14. David Suzuki is a farce . . . . an un-funny farce. Thanks to the CBC, this so called expert is the go-to guy on everything from fruit flies to farts. In actuality, he's a dangerous inciter and enough shallow thinking people will and can carry out his predictions.

  15. And at the same time the wise "travel from Wuhan" "don't blow on the crumbling system" managers would be raking obscene compensations and golden parachutes, just because this is how the things used to be two hundred years back. Wouldn't you just love to chip in half of your income and be recruited whenever the wise ones think necessary? What a modern idyll, and for the final touch let's call it a democracy!
