  1. CBC has been struggling to find "the election question". We understand, it's a very difficult challenge, and we're here to help, with a simple and direct single world candidate: Why? Why the st()d election was even made in the first place? Who asked for it? And who needed it? Just like in the classical sleuth story ask yourself these simple questions and it's nowhere near a mind-bending mystery. Why was it necessary (to who?) to spend more hundreds of millions of taxpayer's money (does anybody even count them anymore?) in the middle of the pandemic's most dangerous variant wave to send millions of dutiful voters to the poll stations exposing them to horrible droplets and aerosols? To think of it, would-be PM calling for mandatory this and require that with a single brief walk creates the most massive pandemic gathering event in years (how many millions?) across the country, to achieve: what? What can it, and would do for us? (sure it could upgrade the power status of one party-corporation from virtually monarch-like to formally such, but would it do anything for us?). And no matter how many times asked, at rallies, debates or informally have you heard a clear and intelligible answer: why? Did you hear it, even once?

  2. A CBC article described how Canadian tourists have been helping to fund the Cuban army and leaders. How Canadian tourism sustains Cuba's army and one-party state (msn.com) I suspect many of these people are embedded within the Liberal and NDP parties and their supporters. quote Cuban-Canadian activists say many Canadians are not aware of the extent to which the survival of Cuba's one-party regime depends upon the foreign currency tourists bring into the country, or the lengths the Cuban government will go to keep Canadians coming. Unquote What is equally surprising on the MSN comment section under this article is the number of commenters who support the Cuban regime and oppose America. Makes one wonder where these commenters came from and where their loyalties lay.

  3. That describes a moderate flu to me. I had a worse one years back still recall feeling totally miserable for 3-4 days. And of course there are ones with sore throat and runny nose for couple of days. Not to dismiss it or make light, but the fact is that it's nothing catastrophic for majority of population. And so, instead of using the shotgun method, maybe we should think, design and implement smart, intelligent and effective methods of protecting those for whom the risk of severe illness is high? Masking shotgun did not do it, a fact. Waves two and three had all time highs with full masking mandates in place. Vaccines work to some extent and it's great because they can be used to protect the vulnerable. But will it eliminate Covid? As can be seen, almost certainly not. And if not, using them in the shotgun mode may bring other serious problems, like what to do when vaccine protection expires, and the long term effects.

  7. Our health care is in dire situation. We need a private health care system alongside the public one to take some load off the public system. People are dying because of shortages of beds, equipment, hospitals, doctors and nurses. None of the parties have committed to a private care but at least the Liberals have promised significant increases to the public one which gives me a ray of hope for better care in future.

  8. And if they'd just crawl off into the woods and die that would be fine, but they're not. They're cramming into the hospitals they were angrily protesting in front of.

  10. Those buffoons who go to Cuba for a holiday have been helping to prop up a communist regime that enslaves and jails it's people for daring to want to be free. The Cuban jails are full of political prisoners. Probably, many of them that go to Cuba are an active bunch of socialists and communists supporters who would just love to see Canada go communist. Why would anyone in their right minds who were born in a free country like Canada want to live in a communist country that has no freedom? Go figure, eh? ?

  11. If you think Communism is egalitarianism, you haven't read any history about Communist China or the U.S.S.R. It is anything but reasonable, fair, compassionate, or egalitarian. It has proven brutal, murderous, and dictatorial. History proves it when about 100 million people were murdered by the Communists imposing their system.

  12. Yes, it’s a different paradigm but not radical idea. Controlled exposure where safe to do so. And the evidence is what we heard recently, people who’ve had corvid have the highest immunity, and longer lasting. This happens every year with the flu. It’s called letting it burn out. Protect/ vaccinate the vulnerable, NOT, everybody because it prolongs the exposure, which is also a bad thing.
