Treating people like biohazards puts the fix in for all sorts of totalitarian control: population control through hindrance of sexual contact, identification for location checks and corralling, surveillance of compliance/opposition, reduction of auto and building use, reduction of assembly volumes (which might oppose governments), weakening of social ties, increase of centralized top-down authority. There will always be plenty of justifications given for restrictions: new variants, too many unvaccinated (or late to get their boosters), greenhouse gas emissions, overpopulation, opposition to the authorities (security threats). Restrictions are a greater threat to the health, wellbeing, and freedom of citizens than Covid 19, which has strong resistance because almost all the vulnerable are vaccinated and treatments have improved. Restrictions will only be lifted if the majority oppose them. It means no longer vilifying those who question continued draconian public health measures and leaders taking back power from the public health authorities.

In my city, they announced they are going to impose a compost collection system where everyone will be required to put their kitchen waste and leftover food in a paper bag and then in a special container which will be picked up regularly. This allegedly is to reduce the CO2 emissions in the landfill, which one councilor claims is 3879 tons of CO2 per year. According to a federal government website, Canada emits a total of 750 megatons per year or 750,000,000 tons. China emits 12,355 megatons per year or 12,355,000,000 tons. So Canada emits 186,904 times as much CO2 as this landfill emits from kitchen compost or waste. This is nothing. How much do rotting carcasses of wild animals and sea life emit across the world? Yet the town is forcing residents to collect this compost and going to charge us $4 a month to do it. This will make absolutely no difference to climate change. Canada emits 1.5% of the world's CO2. If you divide 1.5% of the worlds total CO2 emissions by 186,904 you will get an idea how little CO2 this landfill emits. This is such a small amount it is next to nothing. Worse than that is the fact that the hundreds or thousands of villages, towns and cities in the rest of the world will not be forced to do this. The other 7.5 billion people on the planet will not be collecting their kitchen waste and saving it in a separate container and paying their town $4 a month to do it. Not to mention the stink this rotting food will make. It is not permitted to be stored in plastic bags because they are not compostable. Must be stored in paper bags. This may be just the second in a series of things, after carbon taxes, that climate activists and alarmists will do to us. There is no end of Orwellian regulations and charges they could impose on citizens for various things they dream up in their war on the climate.

It is very irresponsible to speak of cancer without any evidence or proof when 80% of eligible population has vaccines in their bodies. Funny i read somewhere that people would wake up as monkeys as vaccines change DNA. There is no limit to how far they go, Leave health care workers and hospitals alone. If you have a beef take it up with those who made the decisions like legislators but it takes just a little bit of intelligence to realize that decisions on vaccine passports are not being made at the hospitals or by health care workers.

You have to first start by accepting nothing we do is going to make the least difference to the level of CO2 in the world. We're just not that big and only contribute 1.5% of CO2. And the levels being put out by the developing world are growing by leaps and bounds, completely eclipsing the cuts made by the developed world. Hundreds of coal fired power plants are being built as you read this. So our efforts are not really about accomplishing anything so much as looking good. The goals the Liberals recently increased are not really achievable, especially given we're adding 400k people every year from immigration. That's more than four million more people in the next ten years. That's going to pump out a lot more CO2. But this is the style over substance government. The goals are meant to be impressive. That we won't actually achieve them is not really relevant.

Sweden did ban Israeli travelers - vaccinated and unvaccinated. They did so amid "soaring coronavirus infections" in Israel. So Sweden - a country that didn't and doesn't impose mask mandates or lockdowns is imposing a ban on Israel, a country that did and does. That was the original article's point. You wanting to believe it wasn't doesn't change the fact. Facts don't change just because you don't want to believe them. And it's really not that difficult to understand. I don't understand why you're having such a problem with such a simple series of facts.

I am waiting for a riot to start so I can join in. The other day I saw a guy at the bank who refused to put a mask on and requested to close his bank account. After discussions with the bank manager he was let go inside with no mask and put his signature on the paperwork. All worked fine in this case. But how is the poor guy going to get into a restaurant? How is he going to get on a plane? How is he going to keep his job if his employer all of a sudden is forced to obey the insane message sent through the media by politicians and asks him to vaccinate and put a mask on?

Here's the deal with covid. If you're saying things that promote covid fear, or provide support for Big Pharma's vaxxes, you get a star. It's not enough to get vaxxed yourself now, you have to try to ostracize people who don't mindlessly follow the bizarre new message of the day, every day. If you own a business and you want to keep it open, you need to enact a bunch of COVID SAFETY rules and put mentions of covid in people's faces at every opportunity. Make rules like "If people lean on this railing at the ballpark, you have to sanitize it". Ding! You can play baseball now! Or: "All the people who come to the grocery store have to walk in and out through the same set of doors, the other ones will spread covid!" Or: "You can riot and loot without spreading covid, but you can't sit on your own blanket in the park." The Covid Karens are Big Pharma's useful idiots.

Good summary. There is so much that has happened. Argus et al naively think this requires conspiracy. Maybe there is one, there surely are powerful financial forces that would like the covid emergency to keep going. Human greed is surely a factor.

And now Justin is providing funding to ban all handguns across the country....all in the name of keeping Canadians safer what a load of horse shit... we don't need a leader, what we need is for people to start thinking on their own....
