  1. Global Affairs Canada and presumably other agencies of the Canadian federal government have seized the day for anti-racism training and re-programming in a remarkable virtue signaling campaign...on steroids. Importing and doubling down on U.S. based academics' critical race theory, the movement is underway to normalize Marxist groups like Black Lives Matter with momentum and inertia from the American experience (e.g. Derek Chauvin/George Floyd), while curiously downplaying the actual Canadian narrative. Why would any Canadian federal agency or ministry adopt such overt training rhetoric and narrative from a foreign experience for application in Canada to the exclusion of actual Canadian history and experience ?

  2. There’s a way to earn equal wages and have union representation. It’s called applying for citizenship, not breaking a country’s immigration laws and sneaking ahead of others going about it the right way. Regardless, your policy is a tool of big corporations. They love unlimited labour supplies. It keeps the demand for labour low, and depresses wages. And they never have to compete for labour the way they used to. Your policy may as well be written by Amazon! ?

  3. What in this country isn't these days? Even O'Toole, Kenney and Ford are like Trudeau's mini-mes. If it gets any worse here AOC could run for PM.

  4. 1. Can I invoice you ? It's more usage than grammar. That one's free 2. Yes 3. No, they are reliable. 4. Run-on sentence, and by your own admission "the left" seems to be most of Canada. My advice is to stop whining and start devising a strategy to take the Liberals down based on commonality between conservative and Canadian values. 5. If you think Toronto is so full of idiots, then you're in trouble and all of Canada is. Blaming an area of the country is pretty stupid, IMO. For sure, it won't get you anywhere as Toronto isn't going away. 6. Pretty delusional. Max was at 2% last time. You are an idealist and zealot. Maybe not a bad thing but you don't need politics, you need a strongman to take over... otherwise you will die of old age waiting for the change you expect.

  5. Global Affairs has always been a bastion of far left liberal ideology. This is the group which cheered Trudeau's arrival like groupies at a rock concert, so ecstatic were they to have someone 'like us'. There are few if any conservative types at that department. They wouldn't be hired, and if they were, accidentally, they wouldn't be promoted and would be frozen out.

  6. The UK put India on its red list today, banning flights from that country. The new variant in India is spreading like wildfire. It's a double mutation, which makes it harder for both the body's immune system and vaccines to deal with. It's also much more contagious. Even as far back as a month ago, before the disease was spreading so wildly in India, most flights landing from India had one or more infected passengers. The numbers will only have grown since then. Fifty infected flights a week are landing in Canada, with people who can, if they so choose, quarantine for 3 days, or just ignore the quarantine and go home, or even just land in Buffalo and rent a car to come across. But the Trudeau government is doing nothing about it, nor will it even address the issue, probably because they want to hold an election soon and are counting on Indo-Canadian voters they don't want to risk offending. So they'll let the Indian variant into Canada and the hell with the health of Canadians. If some more people have to die to slightly improve their electoral chances, then so be it. The Indian variant isn't here yet, or at least, hasn't been detected yet, but you can count on it being found soon if this keeps up. Almost every flight from India now has infected people aboard. Nearly every India-Toronto flight this month carried COVID+ passengers | Toronto Sun Air Canada 43 on March 9 showed nearly half of the 42-row Boeing 787 Dreamliner affected, including the entire business-class and premium economy cabins, and all but eight rows of economy. India's variant-fuelled 2nd wave coincided with infected flights | Toronto Sun

  7. And the story continues... Tucker explained last night how the political will that is evident from Waters to Biden creates and will continue to create more violence, chaos and separation. There's a great stat from the leftist site Vox at the end. Somebody did a study on the stats of cities that were affected by BLM riots 2014 to 2019. They found there were roughly 300 fewer police homicides. BUT... there were also somewhere between 1,000 and 6,000 more murders. Just plain murders.

  8. Exactly. In some ways Canadians are pathetic.

  9. 1. It's "smoke and mirrors". 2. I guess you didn't realize that a pandemic has been going on for a year or so and people were desperate. 3. I guess you didn't know the FP is a conservative paper ? You are just this close to realizing you are out of step with the rest of Canada, and yet you call everyone else wrong. Here's a clue: NOBODY loves the Liberal party. Even in blood red Toronto they complain about him, but the alternatives aren't very good. Let's see what O'Toole can do. I have hope, but the conservative true believers seem to have given up on him.

  11. very interesting, his talking points were similar to juan williams in 'The Five.' Since Biden moved into WH, leftists have very similar talking points on the same topic, for instance, "a breath of fresh air" (about Jen Psaki), "moving US back on the right track, morally and ethically" "Adult in the WH" (about Biden / Harris).

He has a different take than the public celebrators of the verdict like Joe, Nancy, Maxine and the trained protesters on the streets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTgge2bCDbk More detail here: If there's any justice left in America Chauvin will get an appeal. 15. Would like to know how the imbeciles who vote these people in feel now. Are they satisfied? I say yes. It's not knew for her to be this level of bombast. Was she not recently re-elected? Yes she was. So it begs the question, who the hell. Really. Either that or somebody's getting loads of payola. Cause it ain't her talent or her looks that's getting her in, I tell you.

  16. That is absolutely wrong. BUT: I have to qualify my assertion as to what is "capitalism" vs. what we have now as a dominant force that I call "Casino Capitalism". The ONLY way we can afford to help our neighbours in a sustainable manner is to create wealth from our endeavors. THAT is what capitalism does and far, far better than any socialistic version of economics has EVER been able to provide. You worship the kind of equality among neighbours that Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, etc. have succeeded in achieving - so why don't you and the rest of the LL live there?????? Capitalism is the mechanism through which entrepreneurialism creates wealth. Our problem is that we have allowed the purely speculative functions of managed markets dominate our economy - displacing entrepreneurial capitalists from business, replacing them with those who use OPM (pronounced "opium" = OTHER people's money and it is even more addictive than poppies) to fund a financial system that takes over productive industry to run it as a front to cover their speculative activities. Our problem is we don't understand the difference between creating wealth and re-distributing wealth. We also don't seem to understand that if you don't CREATE wealth, all you can do is sell of your assets to have some wealth to re-distribute - that is obviously (to anyone with a half of a brain) NOT sustainable. Problem is: we don't seem to have anyone in government - either elected or hired - with even half a brain. BTW: what we (not just Canada, but many others at this stage) are doing - just printing more money - is highly inflationary, and when you don't do much to create wealth (i.e. adding value to a resource or delivering services in support of those activities) all you do is devalue your currency. What again is poorly understood is that the reaction to inflationary idiocy is often masked by the very "markets" that strip our economies of money from re-distribution simply because we have placed the ability to establish values in their hands - a HUGE conflict of interest. And we are collectively foolish enough to think the snowboard instructor who can't even keep his lies and stories straight is going to figure that out.

  17. People like getting free money, and don't like the prospect of not getting any more free money. The Liberals have been a good mommy and daddy giving out free cash to many Canadians. The Liberals should have this election in the bag.
