  1. Canada handled the Germans somewhat differently of course. The majority were simply under surveillance. But that doesn't mean none were held in camps and such. The UK on the other hand ruthlessly arrested Germans and sent them to camps on the Isle of Man. Over 30,000. Russia...well you can guess what ol' Stalin did to the Volga Germans living in the USSR.

  2. Can we count this liberal decision as another example of a failed decision in regards to the pandemic... How difficult can it be to put this into action....How can we control anything if we still allow people to fly where ever they wish.... and come back when ever they want... Chris Selley: Trudeau's mandatory hotel quarantine had one job — keeping out new variants. It failed (msn.com)

  3. Liberals shut down probe into sexual misconduct in the military..... I mean we knew this was coming, they have shut down every investigation that might put them in a bad light, Justin is hoping to have a spring election.... My only question is what does the rest of the nation think about this move, it is a very serious allegation, and to shut it all down means what it never happened, or it does not matter, or Justin is full of horseshit once again, " the speech we take every accusation very seriously. well everyone except General Vance's, or the Last CDS.... because they may have ties that lead back to the liberal government .... LIBERALS this is the government you elected not once but twice... This is the government you want to put back in charge... this is the man that promised transparency, he promised change on so many fronts, he made promised to almost everyone, and has kept very little of them.... You should hang your head in shame.... Liberals shut down probe into sexual misconduct in Canadian military (msn.com)

  4. I tried to play a game similar to this and all the people who had been playing for a long time and had amassed huge armies - their only strategy was searching for small first timers who hadn't build up enough assets and armies to protect themselves, then attacking them with their huge armies and taking everything from you. It was impossible to play against them.

  5. As far as Japanese determination, I might remind folks that it was called "Bloody Attu" when it came to "just the Aleutians." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Attu And of course...Dutch Harbor...which was another 'classic' Japanese hit and run with carriers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Dutch_Harbor It's why Japan was a threat....they could project power in ways the Germans only could hope for.

  6. Yes, the IJN decimated Darwin in a day and then buggered-off. It's not just invasion places like Vancouver had to worry about. A couple of carriers and a bombardment fleet protected by a large submarine screen was pretty much a nightmare scenario circa 1942.

  7. Canada is at 16 weeks, and we know why that is. In Germany it is 3-4 weeks. What matters is science, not political gambling because we screwed up and don't have enough sauce.

  8. I don't accept the data at face value because: - We have never counted and tested people for the flu as we've done now. It's extremely likely we were always under-counting. - We hear that at least 50% of people who test positive have no symptoms. They represent a whole new paradigm for counting people with infections. They never would have been counted before covid. "It's extremely likely we were always under-counting." - Many eldery who died in nursing homes before were never given autopsies to see if they died from a virus. "It's extremely likely we were always under-counting."

  9. For sure there were criminal actions which deserve to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, but the intent that you're speaking of is pure fantasy, and you have a long history of defending actions that were far worse than anything we saw on Jan 6th so your sudden interest in justice is just an exercise in hypocrisy, ignorance and stupidity. And FYI, not 'everyone' knows what happened because a lot of people still get false narratives from BlueAnon in place of actual facts.

  10. Scary doesn't cut it. Watching a Hitchcock movie is scary. The Japanese Navy was a legitimate threat to attack the west coast. They were bombing towns and airfields in Australia, they could just as easily do that in Canada. You completely failed to show that the German Navy posed a treat to Canada similar to what the Japanese Navy did. That's because they did not. You have no point Aristedes, just a dumb question that has already been answered. Why didn't canada intern Syrians during the war against islamic state? Why didn't Canada intern Iraqis during Desert Storm? Why didn't Canada intern Afghanis during our engagement in that country? You can ask stupid questions all day, that's not the same as making a point Aristedes.

  13. Well you can deny whats happening if you want. The data in Canafa shows this failed approach as the numbers keep going up, up, up. People sense this failure and are now starting to blatantly ignore the rules. When I see crowds of young people in their twenties just walking along together without masks, blissfully unaware of covid it makes me happy. I think, thank god you kids are so stupid...

  14. This country isn't fixable. We're too far down the rabbit hole. Divided along regional, economic, and racial lines. Divided as never before. There isn't any leader of any stripe that can fix what has happened to Canada. The populace is politically lazy and stupid. The likes of a Trudeau can flash their hair or socks and the stupids think they have a leader. We are a sad joke, an unfunny joke.

  15. We're a country of politically brain-dead dolts. Content to let another country look after our defence all the while looking down our collective noses in our typically self-righteous manner. Content to vote in twice the most corrupt, appalling, inept fool . . . ever! Content, content, content. We are the joke of the world . . . . and we're content with that. F'k !
