  1. The airsoft thing particularly pisses me off. These things exist because they were meant for safe play. They are toys, not weapons in ANY sense of the word. I first ran afoul of this issue about 10 or so years ago. I bought an airsoft and the heaviest BBs available in a US city to clear a birds nest from a high voltage switch without turning the power off (and blacking out a third of a major city). It took thousands of shots to remove the nest, essentially one twig at a time (we had a long time while some equipment was running to re-condition the stuff that had been off line for a year or so). I just threw it into the tool trailer without a thought. Was fine until customs decided they wanted to look through the trailer (FULL of tools and equipment). They told me I could have been charged with illegally importing a firearm - to which I was simply dumbfounded. We had two terms of so-called conservative government since then, and this kind of sheer stupidity did not go away - so not cutting any slack to either party. The lunatics (read: bureaucrats) are now running the assylum.

  2. Remember that Daisy BB gun we had as kids, well the liberals have made it a prohibited wpn... not even sure why, it is level action, and fires BB's maybe some one c an explain the logic behind this, because it is obviously a wpn designed to kill humans in the least amount of time... or was that small birds and paper targets.... This whole thing is getting out of hand. Bill C-21 Canada is Going After Your Red Ryder BB Gun - YouTube

  3. The only people that I ever hear talking about QAnon are leftists. I don't get any Q info in my social media feeds, via PMs, or anywhere else, and I'm a pretty hard-core conservative. I see lots of disinformation, and I don't know the initial sources of any of it, but I suspect that it's actually leftists who put these straw man type stories out there, trying to trick people into believing it/propagating it, just to take credibility away from people on the right. The leftist puppet masters suck in leftists by the millions, it goes without saying that at least a handful of conservatives will take their bait.

  4. Everything has a price. Windmills and solar panels are unreliable and they have their own harms. What matters in the here and now is energy security, and these tinker-toys are not going to cut it. While we play with them our enemies are building reactors one-two-three.

  5. A bizarre scene from our unusual reality: two people in the line, waiting outside a coffee shop, in masks. Twenty or so inside a non-so-large space, chatting it away, no masks. Who is this silly pantomime was intended for, I wonder? Who was supposed to appreciate the ingenuity? The virus? And what if it was only a test for basic sanity? And we still haven't realized.

  7. I did....don't ask questions that you don't want answered. Clearly you do not have any practical experience in such matters. Keep reading American history for more entertainment. False conclusions, and not Canada's current China dilemma anyway. Military responses do not require nuclear weapons unless engaged in kind...Canada doesn't have such leverage and probably never will. It is no longer a "middle power" or "honest broker", and doesn't have a "seat at the table"...or any other cute euphemism that attempts to describe and rationalize Canada's very weakened state.

  9. One thing's getting clear from that piece. Suspicions Forbes has flipped to become the new foot soldiers of the new Corporate left gets more credible with each article they foist on us disparaging the other side of the argument. Also and as I said yesterday with Rush dead Tucker becomes the new enemy # 1 of the corporates, globalists, socialists and other leftists. As far as Qanon goes, I'm with what DOP seems to be suggesting - if the left wasn't all the time talking about them I wouldn't even know they exist. And I'm a Conservative. They keep telling us with their best scared voices the Organic food eating, climate alarmist, buffalo head wearing shaman guy at the capitol building protest was a Qanon enthusiast. If that's the best you have to scare us with I don't like your chances. Near as I can understand though from what the corporate and state media of the left tell me about Q is they're these guys who hang around the internet telling each other stories about how there's this secret cabal of child molesting, pervo elites, behind the power running the country. So OK, Q are conspiracy theorists, but on the other hand if there was a secret cabal of child molesting pervo elites managing the message they would be trying pretty hard to shut down anybody suggesting there was a secret cabal of pervo elites managing the message. It would be overkill, in fact. Way to make Q seem credible, dummies.

  10. Meh...you know more about it than I do. Talk more about it that I ever would. One might think you made it.

  11. Blair and Trudeau are playing to the reactionary uninformed city folk. They've lit those folks hair on fire.

  12. Not being raised in gun culture myself, I initially found the idea of "banning assault rifles" to be kind of a no-brainer. I mean, why do we allow private ownership of weapons designed to kill large numbers of people? Turns out it is more complicated than that. If anyone is interested, hop on youtube and search for 'beau of the fifth column gun control.' He doesn't have all the answers, but does explain the complications involved in a pretty easy to follow way. As a result of having watched his videos, I understand why this legislation is a foolish waste of money.
