  8. It seems Trump has boxed himself in a corner with the allegations against Obama. There are three possible scenarios, listed from least to most likely: Obama illegally tapped Trump Tower; a judge actually agreed there was enough evidence to legally tap Trump Tower; Trump is paranoid and crazy. In any of the three cases, one would think that even Trump supporters would want to get to the bottom of it. The odds are that won't go well for Trump.

  10. Truth can be boring, I guess. The reaction from the left calling for his resignation... that's a good one. The more the media goes on a frenzy, the better it makes Trump look. People know when their being lied to. Right wingers will not drink the left wing koolaid.

  15. No one is challenging or even supporting illegal immigration. That the cops arrest illegal immigrants, put them in cuffs and haul them off is just fine. They're illegally entering the country and so they get arrested. Thats all good. If folks from far flung lands wish to emigrate to Canada then get the paper-work done, get the visa's, make the declarations. Nobody is for illegal immigration. Arrest illegal immigrants. If they claim refugee status then hear the claim. This is how it has been done for years and years and nothing has changed. I am all for more immigration, not less and so conflict with those who want less immigration and not more. You accused me of favouring illegal immigration in an earlier post and told me I know nothing about how illegal immigrants live. You missed my point entirely. My point was that when the USofA cracks down on illegal immigrants, some of those said illegals, fearing deportation to places they definitely do not want to be, will flee to Canada. This is not rocket science. No tweets required for that to happen. You blame Trudeau as if it was some great secret that Canada accepts immigrants. You seem to think that illegal immigrants will be welcomed with open arms by me and trudeau. They won't. Such illegal entrants will be arrested and probably deported. You know this, because you told me all about illegal immigrants living in squalor. Not immigrants living in squalor. But illegal immigrants living in squalor. The illegality of them being in the country results in the squalid conditions in which they live. And you don't like that, naturally, so think we should have less illegal immigration (as if there was some policy in place for how many illegal immigrants we allow in the country alongside how many legal immigrants we take in!). Unfortunately, how many illegal immigrants enter this country is not up to us or Trudeau's iPhone but entirely up to how many folks decide to enter Canada illegally. To take one further whack at the dead horse; Trudeau's tweet has nothing to do with illegal immigrants and it makes no rational sense to blame him for illegal immigration. I did not realize that the minister of immigration sits on refugee boards. ... thats for good reason too, since he doesn't sit on refugee boards. I have not heard that refugee boards were tossed when Trudeau tweeted what he tweeted. I am quite sure that they are still in place and functioning. I am quite sure that the immigration minister does not yet sit on these boards and hear claims. In order for your Conflicting Intersest claim to be true there must be some indication that the minister would be in conflict with his duties. So far the only thing you have proffered is that , 1. He is a refugee himself and 2. He is Somali. This seems to mean that since he is a refugee he, the minister, will be sympathetic to illegal immigrants making refugee claims. I would agree with you if he sat on refugee boards, or reviewed the decisions of refugee boards and had the power to over-ride or reverse decisions of those boards He does not have such powers. The government can certainly challenge the decision of a refugee board but that challenge is done through the federal courts - not by ministerial waves of the hand. See the case of Ms Harvey who fled florida after being found guilty of rape in that state, entered and resided in Canada illegally then, when finally picked up by the RCMP claimed protected status. The Minister of immigration (RtHon Jason Kenney I believe) at that time was appalled at the decision appealed to the federal court for them to decide wether the boards decision was correct or not. The minister simply could not overide the boards decision on his own simply because he wanted to. As for point 2. He's a Somali therefore he must favour Somali refugees. The answer is the same as above; It's not up to him to decide. Its up to the refugee board to decide. Therefore I say there is no conflict with the Right Honourable Ahmed Hussen being immigration minister.

  17. So what! He knew Hillary violated federal rules.....and he did not violate any law or rules.. That's, the difference. Bottomline: Hillary violated federal record rules when she used private email as Secretary of State! Pence did not break any laws, or rules, when he used private email as governor of Indiana.

  20. Pence was using his private email for sensitive public business after he criticized Hillary for doing the same. So I guess he didn't think it was really a serious matter, after all, despite encouraging mobs to chant "lock her up!" (which is not a witch hunt at all). But once again, since Hillary is gone, do you have any concern for the conflict of interest rules Trump is currently breaking? Would it be a witch hunt to mention it?

  21. Hillary using a private email server wasn't illegal either, and the guidelines were changing while she was in office. But at least she wasn't gullible enough to fall for a phishing scheme and get hacked.
    1 point
  22. Yes, the difference is clear. There is no evidence that Clinton's email was ever hacked, but according to Tony Cook at the Indy Star who broke the Pence story they have seen the email exchange between Pence and his top homeland security advisor discussing matters of global terrorist attacks. Pence was hacked.

  35. I'll say. When the Nestucca spilled heavy bunker fuel and it landed on nearby beaches nobody but a few volunteers did a thing for nearly 10 days. By the time the authorities snapped out of it a storm reduced hundreds of 15 fit pancakes of oil laying here and there to millions on dime sized pieces scattered everywhere. As for log spills...I love em. I've pulled hundreds of logs off local beaches. It's about as much fun as filling a boat full of fish.

  40. Yep, they don't even know how off-the-wall they look. The MSM interferes in an election cycle and it's no problem. But then the same MSM cries foul when they think someone else did the same thing. You simply can not make this up! It's now starting to look like Assange is getting tired of being ignored when he says it wasn't the Russians. Word is that a Bernie loyalist insider of the DNC leaked the stuff when he or she saw how they had colluded against Bernie. As it turns out, 4 people had to resign from the DNC because of the wikileaks, so maybe this person got some kind of justice in that and the Trump win.

  41. No, I'll not be getting back to you, either you can think critically or you can't. Either you've made yourself aware of the fraudulent things members of the media and the Hillary team was doing, or you haven't. And sadly, most of the left is probably in the same denial condition as you. I thought they would have worked through the 5 steps by now, but we have mass dysfunction, clinging to denial like a warm blanket. But that will all get fixed soon.

  43. A few people took issue with me, but my main points are not refuted. The MSM was colluding with Hillary's campaign to get her elected, and now cry foul about someone trying to do the same thing, since they were beat at their own game. Obama has been a pushover for Iran, Russia, China, Syria and Benghazi. Now in the twilight of his last days, he grows some cajones and wants a report of the hacking before he leaves office. Sound like an attempt to stay in office? Apparently there can be grounds for such a procedure. Obama hates the CIA, but then holds up their views on the Russian hacking as solid gold. What the hell is that? Now Congress is saying that their committee on the election/wiki leaks thing was never told by the CIA that Russia was the likely culprit. They've called on the CIA to come back and give another report, but the CIA is refusing! So this means that someone is leaking CIA inside info to the Washington Post. Folks, step back from your biases for a minute, and just take a look at the big picture. This could get really ugly. People trying to influence how the Electorial college votes, strategies to take it out of the EC's hands. More riots, mass unrest, etc.

  44. You are obviously playing dumb because it's Obama who has refused to fashion a business friendly economy that will generate tax revenue instead of having to borrow trillions. The 1950's US population was around HALF of what it is now. And as for "defining the debate in a misleading manner", how is it that the US employment rate is above 100%, when millions have never been hired back after 2009? This assumes you understand basic unemployment rate fundamentals. Look, it's obvious all you want to do is play games. Have fun.

  45. 1) The US corporate tax rate is not the same. 2) The US is not the same as Canada, apples to oranges. 3) 8 years of Obama's debt spending has put the US on the edge of an interest rate cliff.

  46. Yeah, it's not easy for some lefties to stay on topic what with all the hand wringing. I think Trump may do this kind of deal periodically until he can get the tax rates and such adjusted. Sunny ways!

  47. Israel has been playing that game for awhile now. If the people they talk to don't have the power to stop all attacks on Israel, then they aren't worth talking to. Of course, if they do have the power, then they must be terrorists, so Israel won't talk to them. There will ALWAYS be attacks against Israel. There will always be extremists filled with hate, because their children have been killed or they hate Jews or whatever. You can not blame all Palestinians for an action of a few and allow a few actions to setback the peace process. That depends entirely on how civilized the nation is that is attempting to play by the rules. A civilized nation differentiates between terrorist and civilian. A terrorist does not allow a great deal of collateral damage and then blame it on the terrorists for not making it easy to find and kill them. The problem that most Israeli apologists have is that they are unable to differentiate between civilian and terrorist. They simply see them as all Arabs. So, when they kill Arabs because Arabs fired missiles at them, it was the Arabs fault. I am asking you to suggest how else Palestinians could fight against the IDF child-killers? You seem to be offering two options: 1) Accept whatever Terms Israel gives you as they are superior. 2) March in nice neat lines with uniforms and flashing neon lights, so the billion dollar warplanes can disintegrate you. The goal of the militants is to get Israel to regret the poor treatment of the Palestinian people. How do you expect them to do that? I am saying that vastly inferior military capacity, combined with unjust conditions, and a complete lack of ability to make changes through non-violence will ulimately lead to civilian casualties. If you want to call it murder, then let's call all the deaths of civilians murder, so that our language is consistent. If the Canadian government treated the Inuit people so poorly that nations of the world suggested that the international body investigate their living conditions, then I would absolutely welcome the UN investigation. But then Canada is a nation with nothing to hide. If you read it says peaceful revolution. A revolution is nothing more than a sweeping change. Yes, all civilized oountries must allow a mechanism for peaceful revolution. The Palestinians have none, making violence inevitable.
