What country doesn't want to "ramp up industrial production"? Production moved from the west to Japan, then Korea, then Taiwan, China, Indonesia... Those countries got or are getting richer along with their costs rising. cost China has cheap labour now, but that will change. How much cheap untapped labour is there in Africa, South America... Nothing to do with remorselessness, just capital looking to make profit. Remember, it was the West wanting and investing in cheap Chinese goods that got us here. AI: Even now, Estimates suggest that Chinese suppliers account for 70% to 80% of Walmart's general merchandise

The Right are not 'Reasonable people' on this issue. And apart from washroom use and sports, what is there to accommodate? There are stalls in washrooms, and I don't think men that transition should be allowed in women's sports as most men carry so much more muscle mass than women. Apart from that: Live and Let Live. Every citizen should have the same rights. But I agree with the gist of your argument.

What does any of the above make him a lefty?

Sorry but you Canucks have NO BUSINESS telling Americans what to donate their money for. The Obama Presidential Center is A LOT MORE than just a Library. It is a COMMUNITY CENTER for recreation and many other things in an area of the city which contains very little of those resources. And if you weren't a Canuck who never visited the South side of Chicago (where I went to college), you would know how starved that area is for such resouces. IOW, your IGNORANCE has revealed you to be a FRAUD.

Some arrests for unrelated things in CA and "I guarantee you this has been happening for a long time" is NOT EVIDENCE of CA election fraud in this election. -

I gave you evidence and you can't refute it. DUH -
But what about using support for Israel to stick it to Libbies? What's really funny about this, as far as you're concerned, is that you're probably past the point of no return of being cancelled as one for losing faith. You can take the boy out of left field but you can't take left field out of the boy.

You're right, the US committed its regional partners in the Gulf to come up with the money. Let us know how that works. -
Just to summarize because nuance can be lost in these pages, there is no doubt in my mind that MAID should exist for those with agonizing medical conditions like MND. That’s not a debate we need to have in Canada again. A personal nightmare of mine is to be stuck in a situation where I can’t breathe properly. Nobody should be made go through that if they don’t want to. On the psychiatric side, I fully understand the concerns and would accept if MAID did not apply to them. I certainly don’t want to see it used for young people with psychiatric conditions at all but would like to put the case for those older people who have already been through a great deal of anguish and have decided after reflection that they have no desire for more of the same.

Well, no, they just need to be reasonable. The whole point is to have something like the Eisenhower Presidential Library/Museum in Abilene KS. A modest place, highlighting the history around his time in office, WWII, showcasing his childhood home, the burial site of him and his wife. They have a purpose, but in recent history they have turned into some kind of perverted dick measuring contest to show how much support they have and how popular they are and to build some gross monument to themselves that is bigger and better than the last guy.

What question do you want answered specifically? There are many psychiatric tests of competence which can be reviewed in the literature. Some patients will fail these tests but some will pass. What do you do with those older patients who have passed and seem to have capacity on clinical examination? Ignore their wishes? It’s not my place to draw a line. The line will change as society does. It’s a grey area and there are no absolutes. But I think there’s a place for reasonable accommodation here. Schizophrenia is a lifelong disorder to bear and at some late point in life people should be able to say enough is enough.
