And it wasn't done to help Canada. They asked the Economic Council of Canada, which was then a government think tank, if a big rise in immigration would help the economy. They were told no. They did it, according to a G&M report of the time, because they felt this would help the PCs make inroads into ethnic communities and get more votes. It was not done to help Canada in any way.

I was around when the population was 20 million. And no one has been able to show how doubling our population has made Canada any better than it was. There are, however, lots of examples of how it has gotten worse. Nobody wants to live in a crowded, third world shithole. The minister of immigration told us just last month that they don't know who has and hasn't left because they're not recording the information.

I just asked Google about median assets beyond equity in the primary residence. Not great: The median household net worth for Americans, excluding home equity in the primary residence, is $57,900.[1] When looking strictly at financial assets (checking, savings, money market accounts, retirement funds, and direct investments), the median U.S. household holds $39,000. [1] Because home equity is a highly illiquid asset that represents the bulk of wealth for middle-income families, non-home assets provide a more accurate picture of liquid or easily convertible wealth. Financial assets are heavily skewed by age, as Americans have had more time to contribute to retirement accounts and investments. [1, 2] So 40k in financial assets. People are right to feel insecure.

He couldn't even do that. -
The Israelis and their allies in America are deeply disappointed with what has emerged about this deal so far. I hope we can agree on that much.
-
I suspect this is what will happen given the neighbourhood they are in. The Shah was interested in establishing a nuclear weapons program and as far as I know Iran hasn’t moved location since.
-
Well no matter what happens you'll be angry and blame conservatives YOU were the one who said that trump HAD to go after iran if he was serious, otherwise it was just "Mowing the grass"

Trump lies and cheats and betrays. He throw the Iranian people under the bus to save his mid term elections. He asked the nation to go on streets, take over their government, help is underway and they did in millions. Over 50,000 of them mostly the youth and women got killed. Those over 100,000 arrested got tortured and raped hoping Trump comes to rescue. Women raped by Islamic revolutionary guards and Basijis, even dead female bodies got raped in the morgues. He lies. He claims there has been a regime change. This is a big lie. There is no regime change even more murderous regime is in power now. He claims he saved the world from nuclear Islamic republic. This is a lie. There is nothing in the MOU that prevents the regime from working on nuclear weapons and extend its range to reach US and Canada. He claims the new leaders are moderate and this is a big lie only a son of a b*tch makes lies like this for political gains while Iranians under oppression, executions and tens of thousands got killed by same leaders now in power. He was to release hundreds of billions to this regime which is ten times worse than what Obama did and he was critical of for decade for political gain. He basically put an end to the security of Israel and betrayed Israel and stabbed them in the back. He betrayed his principles and worse betrayed two nations who trusted him, the Iranians and the Israelis. He betrayed the world by not destroying political Islam which WILL DESTROY THE WORLD.

Just because a line can move and is difficult to draw is no excuse for not drawing a line. Laws do this all the time with abortion, age of consent, mature minors, mental competence etc. What other decisions would you consider a person with schizophrenia unable to take for themselves? What about buying a house, making a will or getting married? If they’re orientated, not deluded and with capacity then they should be allowed to make decisions like the rest of us. Ditto a person with early dementia or Huntington’s disease. People without schizophrenia have all sorts of false beliefs. We don’t prevent them from making adult decisions because of that. You can’t permanently infantilize somebody simply because of a condition they have without assessing them and say they’re not fit to make decisions. If they understand what they are doing they should be allowed to give consent.
