Shady Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) Seeing as though the end of the year is near, I thought it would be humorous and appropriate to post my political facepalm of the year award. Feel free to add your own. And the winner is.....MSNBC's Contessa Brewer! Edited December 28, 2011 by Shady Quote
sharkman Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Pretty good! I should dig up the latest foot-in-mouth by Biden, but for some reason I feel sorry for him. I think it's because the left is drooling over adding Hilary to the ticket, even they know he's a dud. Quote
kimmy Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 This can't hold a candle to Rick Perry's "uhhhh" moment or his "Strong" ad, or Herman Cain trying to answer how he'd have handled Libya. Those are the top 3 American politics facepalms I can think of right now. If I have to choose 1, probably "Strong". -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)

I think it is likely to be the top video of 2011 with the most dislikes. kimmy Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 A media person who had a bigger facepalm moment than Contessa Brewer would be Rush Limbaugh. When Rush caught wind that the United States was sending 100 troops to Uganda to help deal with the Lord's Resistance Arm, Rush blew up. “Lord's Resistance Army are Christians. They are fighting the Muslims in Sudan. And Obama has sent troops, United States troops, to remove them from the battlefield, which means kill them. So that’s a new war, a hundred troops to wipe out Christians in Sudan, Uganda,” he ranted on his show. And he posted the story on his website under the headline "Obama Invades Uganda, Targets Christians" Except... the Lord's Resistance Army aren't Christians in anybody's opinion except their own. They're a murderous cult led by an insane warlord who channels ghosts and spirits for guidance. They attack villages and commit mass murder, mass torture, mass rapes, and mass abductions of children-- who they turn into child soldiers. They are among the very worst people on the face of the planet. Limbaugh's error was so bad that Republican senator James Inhofe took him to task for it on the senate floor and explained why Republicans supported the move against the LRA. Oops. Of course, once it became known that the LRA are psychotic terrorists rather than good Christian kids, Rush proceeded to pretend the whole thing never happened. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
monty16 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Brewer, Limbaugh, Perry, Cain, or even goggling the santorum, they're all priceless but you people are missing the big picture. The US wins first prize hands down for it's ignorance and bigotry and overall comedy routine in politics. Honourable mention has to go to Ron Paul for his outrageously ridiculous agenda that could only be imaginable in a third world country. And next runnerup goes to the racist, hating baggers that think it could ever become reality! Quote
