Suzuki Fires Back

Recommended Posts

Suzuki explains: If Canada, which is one of the wealthiest countries in the world does not show leadership, how can countries like China follow our example?

I say, Baloney to that Mr. Suzuki! Either you're so naive....or an expert at spin!

Canada, which is one of the wealthiest countries in the world had always shown exemplary leadership in issues involving HUMAN RIGHTS since God knows when.

Do you see China following our lead?

Then he says: I told Baird frankly. "Mr Baird, you are not the Minister of Finance. You are the Minister of Environment."

And I remind Suzuki: Well, you are not an economist. You are just a blasted environmental activist!

Is this guy even an environmental scientist????

Suzuki is a brilliant geneticist - that is his field of scientific expertise.

Outside of that he is a useful puppet and as a 'biologist' has a very short grasp on climate change wrt the geological record - as most biologists do. Their idea of a sample only covers a scant few generations - too short to draw any kind of accurate conclusion wrt global warming - which IMO is a natural cycle.

This whole global warming BS is very useful for taking our minds off far more dangerous pollutants we allow to escape into our environment - it detracts from far more important issues, as well as it allows us to be further taxed to death in the name of 'saving the planet'. Arrogant to say the least.

Can ya tell I'm not a fan of David?

David Suzuki is a private citizen of Canada and a world-respected scientist who has been involved in public education for 30years. The criticism against a lot of scientists is that they can’t communicate at the level that the general public can easily grasp. Dr. Suzuki has this talent and has put it to the benefit of us all.

As a private citizen, Dr. Suzuki has every right to speak out and criticize the government just as the rest of us do. His advantage is that he has access to the scientific community to support his positions. So he is definitely within bounds when he makes public statements.

John Baird is the Environment Minister and is paid to be the Environment Minister. He is not within bounds when he takes on positions to represent the Finance Ministry over his own Environment Ministry.

David Suzuki was not operating as a private citizen. He was financed heavily by the CBC in the 60's and 70's....and beyond. His public education is nothing more than liberal propoganda. Furthermore, his science background is genetics, so his authority as an "environmental scientist" is no better than the average well-read citizen. Combine this unprofessional designation with a fanatical liberal bias, and we've got David Suzuki.

Don't imagine that his work is altruistic. He is ensuring his own "employment"....and that of all his disciples, by fear mongering that all our children are going to shrivel up and die.

There is climate change. Nobody denies that. There's been huge climate shifts even in historical times.

The point is, not only are we not responsible for it....but we cannot really do anything about it.

In 2050, these same fanatics will say, "see we told you so!" And it won't matter an iota what the climate situation is then...since they'll say , "see we didn't do enough" or "see, good thing we acted!"

It's clearly liberal nonsense, otherwise they wouldn't be downplaying the inaction of the Liberals, and criticizing the actions of the Conservatives. Nothing new. This is the modus operandi of liberal "thinkers."

I must admit the liberal thinkers are masters of deception - give credit where credit is due. But it's lies, nonetheless.

No one is saying that Dr. Suzuki is not free to say whatever he likes. The problem is that so many take it as gospel! Hey - I grew up on 'The Nature of Things' too, I loved his shows and to be honest probably helped me to study in the fields I have. That said, he is by no means a climate expert, as it is not his field of expertise. I do agree with some of his advocations - but not because I am afraid of CO2 in the atmosphere ( which really isn't such a BIG greenhouse gas anyhow - plus it's effects will probably be far worse in the oceans as opposed to the atmosphere - but I digress), but because I understand the ramifications of OTHER pollutants that don't have the celebrity status that GH gases (predominantly CO2) have.

Now, as far as Baird goes - he is certainly not any kind of expert (outside of freaking out and yelling alot). So what does he have to do with REAL facts? Not much. He's a politician - they DON"T deal in facts!! They deal with how to manipulate public opinion and in the realm of the sciences that is really easy to do - most folk are scientifically illiterate.

The Environment Minister is responsible for environmental issues. And those issues include the economic effects on the country. Why is that hard to figure?

Should each cabinet minister work in a vacuum?

What does Suzuki think our politicians should do? Become activists? Only concern themselves with one issue? That's a luxury left for activists and lobby groups.

And btw, it's our government that's meant to govern. Not activists and lobby groups.

At least Rachel Carson had the courtesy to fade into obscurity after her nonsense. David goes on....and on....and on....

Suzuki is the Illuminatis greatest pupet. If Suzuki was in charge, we would follow Kyoto, plunge our economy in recession and the Socialist New World Order would come to pass...

Is he the anti-Christ?

No, only intoxicated by his hallucinary self-righteous BS.

Another citizen of the world who has made Canada his home, damn it.

I think it would be nice to see every Canadian who doesn't believe in Kyoto to write Suzuki a letter, using paper.

Speaking of paper, this is related to a reason why I find Dr Suzuki to be personally less than credible at times. Last year, I heard him (on CBC radio of course) shilling for his recently released book - printed on a very large amount of paper of course, and his promo tour involved jetting all over North America in aircraft burning obscene amounts of jet fuel.

I could understand his actions if he was promoting the science of conservation, or even a laymans primer on the evils of climate change.

But no.... the book he was promoting was Volume 2 of his memoirs. Yep, Volume 2.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you can't walk the wlalk, this is one set of ears that won't be tuning in when you talk the talk.

Sheer vanity.

He accosted Baird in public, and it's obvious Suzuki was aiming to get the publicity to embarass Baird in public. He said: "I AM disappointed with the plan, John. Iam disappointed."

Talk about sellf-importance. So he's disappointed!

Well, so am I! Disappointed that so far, nobody had really fired back in his face!

Baird should've answered: "Of course, Davey...I know you're disappointed. You'll always be disappointed.

Nothing the Conservatives do will ever be good enough for you! That's the truth of the matter...so don't bother me with your bs!"

I just want to scream.....here's another perfect example of why we can not even hope to come close to meeting our Kyoto target. Here's an extract from an article - it relates to Denmark's atteempts to meet Kyoto:

Because of drastic measures taken over the last decade, the country is struggling to find additional ways to cut emissions and meet its Kyoto commitment - but it still believes it'll come in somewhere around 3 per cent over the target.

So if these guys are still struggling after 10 years of drastic action - what insanity would lead anyone to believe that our targets are achievable after doing nothing for 10 years?

Nonetheless, this article goes on to lambaste the Conservatives....go figure.

A columnist's negative experiences with David Suzuki.

You go this from Charles McVety's site, the anti-gay marriage evangelist?

I don't why so many right wing columnists cozy up to this guy.

And it's not because the Conservatives are not trying. In an interview today with a rep for the gas company, he said that they find this new plan really tough. Gas companies in Europe, he said, do not have a set target to meet like this one.

The anchorwoman for CTV flatly asked the rep for the Environmantal Protection, "why not give where credit is due....considering the Liberals have not done anything for a decade, at least the government had now made some steps towards the right directions."

Of course, the environment guy pooh-poohed that. He dug up the past when Harper was leader of the opposition, etc...
