guyser Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 The toll is now at 30. If that won't make them implement some kind of gun control, I don't know what would. Gun control does not work. If every kid was armed in that school, there would only be one person dead, well maybe two. No amount of control will stop anyone from doing this should they really want to. Could use fertilizer and ammonia, and we dont ban those , could have stolen mega TNT and we dont ban those. Quote
PolyNewbie Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Guyser:No amount of control will stop anyone from doing this should they really want to. Preventing this is not the real purpose of gun control. The gov wants to destroy the constitution and invoke a world government witha serveillence society like in Orwells 1984. This way you can be completely controlled and used as they wish. You affectively become a tool. Many users of this forum are nothing more than tools, but a tool doesn't realize he is a tool and thats the problem. Stupid people will continually blame the "stupid politicians" for everything that is happening. The Tavistock institute and CFR are not stupid, they just want you to think your politicans are that way you can sit around, do nothing, and in this case wait for Billary to save us. Billary will steal another few trillion dollars, start more wars and no one will notice the trend. Maybe everyone will be chipped and all guns taken away and cameras will be everywhere and then it will be too late. Protestors will be arrested and the sycophant fascists will be reporting them and laughing about it just like they do now. Quote Support the troops. Bring them home. AndrewL Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 The toll is now at 30. If that won't make them implement some kind of gun control, I don't know what would. The same thing could happen in Canada even with our gun control laws. The reason this happened has more to do with mental illness than it has to do with guns. If guns did not exist, or he could not get access to them, he might have used bombs made from everyday over the counter chemicals and the death toll may have been higher.... Whenever these things happen the guns are mainly just incidental to the act. And as many gun loving Americans or Canadians will argue, just one law abiding licensed and well trained gun owner in that class could have saved a few lives. (a bit of a stretch but quite possibly nonetheless). Ironically, Virginia just recently refused to pass a law allowing gun possession on campus. The fact is, this was a sick person who completely lost it and nobody was able to stop this guy before he acted. Andrew Quote

That said, I would also agree with Andrew and Gosthacked. I have not one problem with a well armed citizenry. IMO it is a liberty and right to defend oneself. Had others had guns around someone would have maybe shot this guy and prevented the massacre. Guthrie Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 actually, the more heavily armed a population is, the MORE gun violence there is if every VA Tech student had a gun, there would have been perhaps only a single room shot up but part of the death toll would have been crossfire among the defenders however, had the VA Tech killer been denied access to guns, no one would have been injured at all once again, door number two is the only logical choice Quote “Most middle-class whites have no idea what it feels like to be subjected to police who are routinely suspicious, rude, belligerent, and brutal” - Benjamin Spock MD
guyser Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 actually, the more heavily armed a population is, the MORE gun violence there is Fact=cite. Or just ask Australia since they banned many guns. Ask the State of Florida and the Castle Doctrine laws. Remove guns, violence goes up. Expand the laws allowing, and murders go down. Damn how that works huh? if every VA Tech student had a gun, there would have been perhaps only a single room shot up but part of the death toll would have been crossfire among the defenders Thats what you want to believe, absent of any rational thought on the matter.
