theloniusfleabag Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060627/ap_en_ot/limbaugh_viagra Should this even be in the news? Thank goodness his privacy has been protected. Quote Would the Special Olympics Committee disqualify kids born with flippers from the swimming events?
Black Dog Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 That explains a) why Limbaugh is always so very angry and why he can't keep a relationship going. It just goes to show that with right-wingers, everything is a dick thing. Quote
sharkman Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 I don't know too much about the stuff, here's a link that says 20% of men over 40 have tried it. I would bet organizations that would like to see Rush fall from grace have been watching him like a hawk. This latest 'news' story is beyond silly. So the guy uses viagra. Big deal. He is also trying to be discrete about it so it wouldn't get blabbed all over the known universe. So they try to slime him with it. Liberals are sooo predictable. Quote
Liam Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 I kind of feel sorry for the guy, as abrasive and devoid of character as he is. I have no interest in the story, but I am sure the local district attorney in Florida is. Quote
FTA Lawyer Posted June 27, 2006 Report Posted June 27, 2006 Here's my favourite part: It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party's name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly, said Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for the state attorney in Palm Beach County. He would not discuss specifics in the Limbaugh case Tuesday. If the bottle of pills was prescription-strength sudafed, or frankly, ANYTHING but an erectile disfunction drug, no one would even know about this. And the fact that more citizens don't strongly denounce this type of "reporting" is disheartening. Rush very likely has been smattered in public for not breaking any law, not doing anything wrong, and being in possession of a legal substance. Here's a thought...maybe investigate the alleged crime and decide if there has been any unlawful activity before writing a bunch of innuendo and speculation with no other purpose than to embarrass and slight someone with a public reputation. FTA The authorites detained him. It's news. And I hope he's embarrassed: the King of smear slighted. It's called karma. Quote
Shady Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 Why is this even news? Wow, Rush Limbaugh uses Viagra. I think he uses that stuff for acid reflux too, who the fuck cares? Seriously. So much for you idiots and your pseudo-concern with government and privacy. Keep fighting for your Al-Qaeda bill of rights though. Quote
newbie Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 Interesting comments by the big hypocrite himself: http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=1159 He'll probably just end up with a "stiff" fine. Rimshot? Quote

theloniusfleabag Posted June 28, 2006 Author Report Posted June 28, 2006 I was kind of wondering where this thread might go. I personally am on the side of FTA Lawyer, And the fact that more citizens don't strongly denounce this type of "reporting" is disheartening. Rush very likely has been smattered in public for not breaking any law, not doing anything wrong, and being in possession of a legal substance. The irony here, of course, is that the bottle wasn't labeled to protect his privacy, and now because of the fact that the bottle wasn't labeled, he got 'busted' and now the entire world knows about it. Really, it isn't anybody else's concern, and it used to be that a 'non-story' like this wouldn't have made the papers, because a lot of people used to have a sense of decency and respect for others. Shady has it wrong...it isn't 'liberal MSM smear tactics', it is the 'right' that turned on Limbaugh... Not for who he is , but because the 'Main Stream Media' has, is, and will always, serve the 'right wing'. That is because they both serve 'Mammon', and hanging Limbaugh out to dry, violating his right to privacy, decency and respect is not done to discredit him, it is done to make extra profit. FTA Lawyer, if you are as appalled as I am by this, then you should also examine America's value system...this is what it stands for. Fealty to Mammon, suckling at the teat of the Golden Calf, and chasing the dollar are the greatest good, and it feels that everyone else on the planet should also share the same values...and it is willing ( and has resorted to in the past) to use force of arms to make it happen. Charles Anthony Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 I am starting to imagine this callous disregard for his privacy turning to his advantage.... Viagra hiring Limbaugh for its next advertizing campaign!!! Rush Limbaugh: "I am what I am!" I can hear the music in the background.... BubberMiley Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 I think it's been covered in the media because he's already been in trouble for forging prescriptions, et cetera, so it's just part of that story. He's also gone on the record about the immorality of sex outside of the bonds of holy matrimony and he isn't married. But really, nobody wants the image in their head of Rush Limbaugh with a viagra-fueled erection. Black Dog Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 I think it's been covered in the media because he's already been in trouble for forging prescriptions, et cetera, so it's just part of that story. Yep. Context, people. He's also gone on the record about the immorality of sex outside of the bonds of holy matrimony and he isn't married. But he has been. Three times before. In a sense, I guess that makes him an expert on marriages. But really, nobody wants the image in their head of Rush Limbaugh with a viagra-fueled erection. And if hat's not enough to put you off, how about the fact that Rush's vacation destination has one of the highest numbers in the world of people involved in the sex trade per capita. Quote
I miss Reagan Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 That explains a) why Limbaugh is always so very angry and why he can't keep a relationship going. It just goes to show that with right-wingers, everything is a dick thing. Hmmm makes sense now why you're so angry Black Dog. Perhaps you ought to try a little of the big V. But I guess you'd have to find a woman.... or a man.... or a.... nevermind. Quote "Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to offer therapy and understanding for our attackers.
