WestCanMan Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 Right now, at Superstore in Langley, you can get 12 oversized hot dog wieners for $2.44. I told someone that while they were drinking coffee and it almost came out of her nose 😂. Not kidding. I don't wanna imagine what's in there, but at that price it's a fkin amazing dog treat. And it makes me feel like my $9 smokies are sooooo healthy lol. Should we thank our PM for these lower food prices? 🤔 1 Quote If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. herbie Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 If they're like SaveOn when the weenies are on dale for $3.99 the buns are suddenly $5.99, mustard, ketchup & relish are $2 more tan the week before. No shit, last year they had gluten free hot dog buns 'on sale' in packs of 4 for %8.99, The tree planters are arriving in town, so they've gone into full gouge mode. There's all kinds of things that are never stocked but you could go out of town, have them served to you at a restaurant for far less. 1 Quote
herbie Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 Holy F**8 ! $7.49 for a head of lettuce? On top of a cashier so unaware, unconcerned and inept she scanned my 3 for $5.00 purchase in as FOUR items at $2.50 each.... Hire an immigrant from BanglaDesh instead Quote

A guys shows up regularly with boxes of frozen foods he dumps there and walks away. All in its original packaging in boxes and still frozen! The guy is too cheap to buy a generator for his business and when power goes off, his food thaws and has to be dumped. A fellow co-worker suggested we have a customer appreciation day! I can invite you too, if we hold one.🤣 Edited May 6 by cougar 1 Quote

It's like a 5-minute(ish) rule, depending on how good the food is. I'm still young enough to survive a bit of food poisoning, but I should probably take into account the size of my life insurance policy and my wife's ability to find an upgrade at this point... 1 Quote If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. Hire an immigrant from BanglaDesh instead Where did that lettuce come from??? Dollar differential, shipping, fuel charge, warehousing, stocking, $17 per hour (inept) grocery workers...it all adds up. 1 Quote You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to tell me what mine should be.

I don't doubt that they're able to throw sick animals in there either. I doubt that the recipe for the Superstore wieners is all that different from the $9 smokies, but I just don't get how they can suddenly turn a profit at $2.44... That's like a 1984 price. Are they "Soylent Wiens"? Lol. 👀 👀 1 Quote If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. Poor people got the remnants and had to live on that. Edited May 6 by ExFlyer 1 Quote You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to tell me what mine should be.
herbie Posted May 6 Report Posted May 6 I keep seeing these ads by the CPC how food and gas prices are still going up under Carney 'just like Trudeau'.. The market determines the prices and govt interference in the free market is 100% against conservative policy. Who are the courting? The brain dead who think things will change with a CPC govr? 1 Quote

Ranchers/hunters/others are 'hands-on' with their protein sources . . . Leave the lettuce for the 'herbie' crowd. They probably have rodent incisors, twitch their noses when they eat, and hop to the next head of lettuce. 1 Quote

But that much of the other types of "sausage" still costs 4x as much. How much did they have to lower their standards to sell those for such a low price? And how much room was there to lower their standards in the first place? 1 Quote If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed. Not sure what "other types of sausage" you are talking about. As for standards...they are controlled by by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency "The CFIA defines standards of identity for sausages under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) and the Food and Drug Regulations." 1 Quote You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to tell me what mine should be.
