Same here, $1.97. They do this a lot. Start a new product off at a very low price for a few weeks, get people used to buying it then jack the prices up. I don't eat hot dogs but got some of these for the family. Nobody liked them.

We all know what a loss leader is, but a package of wieners at that price is not attractive at all.
