It is not a stretch to believe his contacts allowed him to leverage his influence in pursuit of illicit activities which no doubt included sex trafficking.

As far as the "commonly known facts" this is true. However...

There is quite a bit of evidence that Epstien was Mosad. Which makes me wonder just how Netanyahu got Trump to go along in Iran. An ugly idea to be sure. Hence...

It just feels like this thing is taking a life of its own and is growing exponentially in scope. It's gone from a sleazy business guy who inappropriately talked a fairly small number of girls into working for him and then having sex with them and occasionally pressuring them to have sex with other people and possibly extorting one businessman, to  a massive underground sex trafficking "ring" and spy agency with dozens and dozens of 'clients' being extorted for money and or information, and trump knew about it and was helping hillary smuggle children through an illegal pizza restaurant or some damn thing   

I think it probably is what it is. A scumbag managed to collect a little harem around him a very young girls who work for m&e inappropriately pressured them to having sex and then pressured them to have sex with influential people to win their favor in most cases, And who may have been extorting one or two people. The DOJ has identified over 1000 victims associated with Jeffrey Epstein - some reports suggesting over 1200. 

The lack of arrests in the U.S. contrasts to the fallout in the U.K. 

Former (lol) Prince Andrew and x-ambassador Peter Mandelson were arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. 

British police began investigating Andrew's correspondence with Epstein when Andrew was a U.K. trade envoy. At that time, Andrew allegedly shared government itineraries, investment plans and notes from official foreign trips with Epstein. The information  may have been covered by the UK Official Secrets Act. 

Mandelson has been accused of passing  confidential government information to the late sex offender when Mandelson was a U.K. Cabinet minister. 

The question is, what method of coercion did Epstein use to provide the leverage over these men - fair to say, other powerful men? 

Supposedly, Epstein amassed his fortune primarily through business dealings with wealthy clients and tax strategies. He was a financial advisor to billionaires. 

Nothing will  be revealed,  pretty sure of that, Epstein will remain an intrigue based as you say on assumption and/or supposition. 

My supposition is Epstein was more than just a guy with a sex fetish and a permanent hardon  - Epstein was a guy that amassed his fortune through extortion and corruption at the highest international government levels.

In the transcripts - which amount to 300 pages - heavily redacted - Maxwell said that while she believed Trump and  Epstein  were 'friendly' in social settings, she did not believe they were close friends.

Should be mentioned that Ghislaine has a history of lying under oath. 

Maxwell, the convicted sex trafficker and former associate of Jeffrey Epstein is serving 20 years in prison for her role in recruiting and facilitating the abuse of minors. 

Post interview, Ghislaine was transferred to a low security facility in Texas where supposedly there are many amenities. 

What sex offender has that type of Presidential drag? 

My supposition is that a deal was struck - out in (3) Ghislaine.
