The one thing holding back Canada is their delusion of not being Americans.

And based on Trudeau's immigration  projection fantasies - (500K / yr) for a country of 30 million) getting even more delusional.

A recent report had professional trades in Med flocking north tho.

Canada will go through a replacement immigration push unfortunately, it’s unavoidable. Enjoy the people around you now, in a few years you won’t recognize the place you grew up in with the all the newcomers. This is what happens when a country is below sub replacement for over 50 years.

Trump and Israel just completely destabilized a huge country and it's almost 100 million occupants for political theatre. And everyone else pays the price.

So it is OK for Iran to destabilize 2 countries and support and direct 3 known terrorist groups that have sown terrorism through out the middle eastern region....Not mention killing it's own citizens by the thousands .....That is in your opinion OK, and taking any action to stop all amounts to political theater.....Why is that ?

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

There are only two ways to remove the Iranian regime.

1. A military coup - and I see no likelihood of that.
2. Ground troops - and I see even less chance of that.

I would not count out ground troops, US is talking about using special ops to destroy their nuclear missile program facilities, along with other targets.....

A failed state that will have NO nuclear weapons , and limited ability to conduct terrorism in the region....that's not stupid thanks smart....I could live with those results....I'm sure the world would be a better place for it....what would be extremely retarded is to sit back and do nothing and allow Iran to produce nuclear weapons and use them for their terrorist ways....

I'm trying to understand what your thinking here, your ok with Iran being a dick, killing it's citizens  and sowing terrorism around the middle east , because your afraid of paying more at the pumps...

Here is the funny part, if the liberals had built all those pipelines like energy east, etc, Canada could be now fulfilling all those lost production quotas for the US and Europe boasting our GDP by enormous amounts...we could be burning Alberta oil instead of middle eastern oil in Atlantic Canada, plus exporting LNG to Europe....and using those profits to jump start our economy and making us an energy super power.... Instead we all face the liberal party's reality....we are deeply indebt and face consequences for every little bump in global affairs...If getting rid of the number one terrorist nation on the planet cost is a rise in oil and gas i will gladly pay that price...It is not my war, but i do support it..

Trump announces an energy deal with India and the US is going to build a new refinery.

In a landmark announcement on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump thanked India and its largest privately held energy company, Reliance, for backing a groundbreaking investment that will create the first new oil refinery in the United States in 50 years. The refinery will be located in Brownsville, Texas, as part of a $300 billion deal designed to boost American energy production while strengthening ties with global partners.

Reliance Industries has established a significant collaboration with Brookfield Infrastructure through a joint venture aimed at developing data centers in India. This partnership includes Digital Realty and has been branded as Digital Connexion: A Brookfield, Jio, and Digital Realty Company.

Carney's deal with India does include energy, but from nuclear reactors. I wonder which company is going to construct them? The deal also includes proposals to study cooperation in other sectors, but not oil.

Trump's deal is actually going to benefit Mark Carney personally because of the US oil company shares he holds.

The US has no ability to fight a ground war against an enemy with drones. There might be a few, quiet, quick attacks by special forces, but what is needed are entire divisions, and that is just not going to happen.

It's also thought we'll likely see 50 million displaced Americans fleeing an irretrievably drought-stricken US South West before then.

I suspect even we'll be suntan all year long too so you'll feel right at home.

Our 'annexation' has been inevitable for at least a couple decades now.

Instead we get to watch them close the Straight of Hormuz with drones and mines and send oil to $200 a barrel.

It's not nuclear but it is kryptonite.

If Carney really had any interest in making us an 'energy superpower', he would take advantage of the world oil and gas shortage brought about by the war in Iran and pass legislation using the Notwithstanding clause to establish an energy corridor for oil and gas pipelines to the east coast.

Under the present conditions, this would have overwhelming support in Canada. Even a majority of Quebecers would approve. So why isn't he doing it? Canada has enough natural gas to supply the world for two hundred years. We could end Russia's hold over Europe, help India and China get off coal, and make a fortune.

So how come we're not doing that?

No, it was actually an acknowledgement of our mutually shared skin colours. Which I'm betting is just various shades of off pink in our cases... depending on the season.

In any case I identify as an Earthing not as a  continentalist.

The Quebec political establishment says there is 'no social acceptability' for pipelines - Quebec has imported a 1/4 billion $$ in foreign oil since 1988.

Blanchet says he strongly opposes any pipeline from Western Canada through Quebec to the Atlantic. Blanchet claims it would sacrifice the prosperity and undermine the sovereignty  of Quebec

Quebec is always, Canada last - duh -  in what manner would it serve Quebec to promote National unity.

Quebecers are facing major decisions - the possibility of a referendum on sovereignty is higher now than it has been in decades - this with Canada facing a potential existential economic threat.

With a Provincial election in October - the PQ is expected to win handily - the leader of the PQ has stated that if elected he promises to hold a sovereignty vote.

Were the Brits too magnanimous  - post  Plains of Abraham?

There's nothing the Quebec establishment can do about it if the federal government decides to build a pipeline. Interprovincial trade is under federal authority. And a poll in Quebec in December showed 67% of Quebecers approved of a national gas pipeline. The last poll I saw of an oil pipeline was a year earlier but at that time, 59% of Quebecers supported the Energy East pipeline. I'm sure it's higher now.

Because we let them interfere in our elections and politics unhindered. Because members of the ruling party are working for China. Because the government refuses to take any action to control that interference and influence due to how many of its members are working for China.
