He wants to be a dictator - becoming one is a process that's now underway.

It's not a forgone conclusion but if there's a dictatorship clock that's analogous to the nuclear doomsday clock America is probably as close to midnight as it's ever been.

LOL, yeah, its still 10:00am breakfast...

OMG it's as close to midnight as it has ever been!

Seems like all they have to do is attach all these tariffs to the DHS funding bill, make the DHS funding bill a CR and pass it w/o the threat of filabuster. Done.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

Trump is hands down and unequivocally the most obnoxious, belligerent and failure of a human being to ever grace the earth.  I won't even comment on his strong points of being factually dumb as a stump and on the doorstep of senility....

The SCOTUS sides with a family-owned education company that has been in business for 110 years and the pathetic one calls them 'sleezebags'.  Very presidential don't you think....

The only thing dumber than this guy are those that support him.

How can they do that when it's not their money?  Companies lined up last year to get their names added to lawsuits for tariff repayments if in fact Trump lost which he obviously did.  Pritzker and Newsom told him yesterday invoices from their states are in the mail.  You're going to have to find the money elsewhere.  Done.

What?

No. Make the tarifs law through a CR that includes DHS funding. Then there is nothing wrong with the tariffs.

You really think congress is going to vote for across the board tariffs? Not very likely at all....

Question though...  why do you like paying more for goods or products?

We don't. In fact, inflation is down and biggly.

Obviously Trump supporters of tariffs like paying more for goods. Kind of odd isn't it....

And inflation isn't down bigly.  It was 2.4% in January which was down from the 2.7% from Nov and Dec data.  Interestingly inflation was at 2.4% when Biden left office....

Trump could have always gone through Congress but refused because he wanted PERSONA POWER for PAYOFFS.

Still CAN, Still REFUSING. All for the GRIFT.

The inflation rate was 3.0% Jan 2025.

Nope we dropped most of our tariffs for that reason but ours were already targeted to minimize blowback.

Do you have any regard for the truth at all? Canada still has tariffs in place. It appears your argument is that you still like peeing in your own face, just a bit less?

What I said was 100% accurate. To repeat:  Canada dropped most of its counter-tariffs and what few remain are optimized to have minimal impact on Canadians.

Besides unlike your idi*tic president our tariffs are not intended to be permanent and are not against the entire world, and we don’t pretend they’re beneficia. They are countwr-tariffs that go away as soon as you stop your stupid trade war.

There’s a difference between someone who defends themself and someone who goes around randomly attacking people you understand that eight?  You can’t say the person who defends themself from an unprovoked attack is a hypocrite and no different or less violent than the person who is attacking them and others and bragging about it.

They Did Deals With Trump to Get Lower Tariffs. Now They Are Stuck.

Countries that under the threat of tariffs made commitments like enormous investment pledges face the reality that they might have been better off waiting.

So far, China has kept Mr. Trump at a standstill in trade negotiations and could end up with a better deal than its neighbors and American allies.

Now, after the court decision constraining Mr. Trump’s trade cudgel, countries throughout Asia are left wondering if they made a mistake in quickly finalizing deals with Mr. Trump and whether existing agreements will stand.

“Countries which signed deals with the U.S. and agreed to a tariff above 15 percent are now disadvantaged,” said Steven Okun, chief executive of APAC Advisors, a geopolitical consulting firm.

What you said is as accurate as they agreed to mostly exempt all CUSMA-compliant goods; Canada did not drop its retaliatory tariffs for nothing.

So, you are still pissing in your face just as much.

I don't know how much of a blow it was to trump's tariff plans.  He has other options and he's pursuing them.

But obviously, he took it very, very personally. I'm a strange thing is he seems to be trying to punish somebody with he's new tariffs, but it's not like it was the other nations or the other party that ruled against him

We will see what happens. He's going to need some support from the house in order to carry on long-term and that's the way it should be.

I think those other countries can sue and get their higher tariffs rescinded because the agreements were coerced by ILLEGAL and FALSE CLAIMS.

This isn't actually true. Nobody actually signed a deal, they're all memorandums of understanding and intents.

Everybody can back out of their deals no problem

That's some poor reporting even for them

Another day another F*ck You Trump...

A deal is a deal’: EU says it won’t accept increase in U.S. tariffs

Feb. 23, 2026 12:09 AM ETEuro / US Dollar (EUR:USD), GF, EWG, FXB, EWU, DAX, EWI, EWQ, UKX, FKU, FGM, GREK, FLGB, EWUS, FLGR, GBP:USD, USD:EUR, USD:GBPBy: Manshi Mamtora, CFA

The European Commission said on Sunday that the U.S. must stick to trade terms reached last year, following a U.S. Supreme Court decision that invalidated earlier global tariffs.

The EU demanded "full clarity" from Washington on next steps and warned that unpredictable tariffs disrupt markets and undermine confidence. EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic discussed the issue with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on Saturday.

"The current situation is not conducive to delivering 'fair, balanced, and mutually beneficial' transatlantic trade and investment, as agreed to by both sides," the commission, which negotiates trade policy on behalf ‌of the 27 EU member states, said. "A deal is a deal."
