Hodad Posted February 16 Report Posted February 16 You are bog stupid. There is no "quest" and no proposal or conversation of any kind from the mayor of NYC about banning dogs. Pure fiction. -- The bigotry is real though. 1 1 1 Quote

John Johnston Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 The claim that New York City’s new mayor wants to ban dogs is false. Zohran Mamdani, who was sworn in as New York City’s mayor on January 1, 2026, has not proposed banning dogs or restricting pet ownership in the city. Fact-checking sources confirm that rumors circulating online about such a ban are fabricated and misleading, and there is no evidence of any policy targeting dogs in this way. DW+1 Context on Pet Policies While there is a recent law targeting puppy mills in New York City and the state, it bans the sale of puppies, kittens, and bunnies in pet stores, rather than banning dogs themselves. The law, effective December 15, 2025, aims to reduce unethical breeding practices and encourage adoption from shelters. This legislation is often misrepresented online, but it does not prevent residents from owning dogs. News 12 Symbolic Dog Mayor New York City also has a ceremonial dog mayor, Simon, a basset-cattle dog, who was inaugurated in January 2025. This position is purely symbolic and focuses on promoting animal adoption and awareness, with no official governmental authority. City & State New York+1 Key Takeaway There is no truth to claims that Mayor Mamdani wants to ban dogs. The city continues to support pet ownership, and recent laws are aimed at improving animal welfare rather than restricting dog ownership. Residents can continue to own and adopt dogs while supporting ethical breeding and shelter adoption initiatives. Quote

Nerdeen Kiswani (Mamdani supporter) said that dogs should not be kept as indoor pets because they are unclean. She later said that was a joke after getting a shitstorm of pushback. Anyone know if this stupid b*tch has a history of joking around? I wouldn't be surprised if it were her inner jihadist just bursting to get out. Edited February 17 by Deluge Quote

ironstone Posted February 17 Report Posted February 17 (edited) Nerdeen Kiswani, 'Palestinian' ACTIVIST. So we know she is a sh*t disturber and probably rather influential in NYC. They already have Muslim calls to prayer over loudspeakers in NY, so perhaps she'll eventually get her way with dogs too. Most New Yorkers aren't particularly worried or interested in what some rando posts on Twitter. This is someone you've never heard of who has no power. Why is that a "red flag"? Why do you care? Why does this thread exist, other than as a thin excuse for bigotry? Quote

At best, they are friends with a common goal against Israel. If she's an advisor, it's in an unofficial capacity. Nerdeen Kiswani (Arabic: نردين كسواني[1]) is a Palestinian-American activist and organizer. She is a co-founder and chair of Within Our Lifetime, a pro-Palestine activist group in New York City. During the Gaza War, Kiswani has led or spoken at numerous protests in New York City, including the Columbia University student encampment and protests against the detention of Mahmoud Khalil. Considered an influential activist, she has been credited with inspiring Gaza War protests in the US, including student protests. As a student at the City University of New York (CUNY), she was also involved in pro-Palestine activism as president of the school's Students for Justice in Palestine chapter. It's fair to assume you're a progressive so I wonder how you'll react when influential Muslims take a firm stand against some of your values. Try forcing your radical gender ideology in the Muslim communities and see what happens. Quote Beware the Brookfield industrial complex...
