I told you all that if Trump achieved dictator power he would never give it up. 🤮

And now the biggest story about Trump is buyers remorse. A very hard lesson for America, and the world. What I still don;t understand though is that everybody knew this would happen.

Actually the MAGAts completely  denied the dictator comment was serious.

No, we correctly pointed out to you what was meant, and that he said on day 1... not that you have any care to ever engage honestly on here.

And most of the people that are adversely effected by Trumps policies are MAGA people. Karma, I suppose...

And? The average in Texas is $2.46. You know, there are real sites that track fuel prices. I gave you a link already. You don't need randos..

And nothing.

Welcome to gas under $2.00.

Brought to you be common sense policies.

You really are such a clown. You can't identify any "common sense policy" that lowered gas prices, but you'd wait in line all day to rim Trump because he told you he's responsible.

Just as it was true when Biden was president (and every other president), outside of starting a war in the middle east, Trump has almost zero short-term influence on gas prices. (Oil is tariff exempt.)

It's a global commodity in a global marketplace driven by global supply and demand.

I suppose Trump's silly tariffs have spiked the prices of many import goods, cooling demand, leading to less shipping and less oil consumption, but I don't think people view paying less to get to Walmart and paying much more in the store as a win.

A bit of a quibble here, but I do think the president has more influence over gas prices than groceries..

I don't think common sense policies have much to do with it, but clandestine political deals with Saudi Qatar and so on do.

Right now he's got gas prices and the stock market in his favor, but it seems like people believed his promises of making things much much better.... And I don't see that happening soon.

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

Trump is what happens when you put up the shittiest possible candidate in all of election history.

There is no buyers remorse - there's just continuous sighs of relief.

Maaaaaybe. But during different administrations we've seen some pretty high gas prices go unresolved even when it was politically damaging. If presidents could turn the dial up and down so easily I suspect we wouldn't have seen those prolonged periods. What do you offer the king/prince/sheik who has everything? (I probably don't wanna know.)

It's always a trade-off and also subject to the priorities, strategies of the man in the WH

It is not about "easy" but Presidents do in fact engage in policy that does impact gas prices. When Biden shuts down pipelines, when regulations make drilling, exploration, transportation, refining, all more expensive, prices go up...

When Biden chose to open up the emergency reserves before the election to ease prices... so he could manipulate the market for politics...
