Are you referring to visible minorities because my memory can't stretch any further than that. According to the Canadian Encyclopaedia, overt racial discrimination in immigration policy only began to disappear from Canadian immigration legislation and regulations by the late 1960's. Up until then almost all immigration was from European countries. French or English was also a priority. These racist policies seem to back up what I remember and what my yearbook shows. My schooling took place in Ontario and Quebec which may have made a difference. It's possible the eastern part of Canada may have attracted more white Europeans, while the western part more brown skinned Asians. I have no idea, but please advise Herbie that I was not schooled on some distant planet.

Which is pretty much like everything that the left touches. Climate change for example used to score second or third spot regularly on the various posters lists of priorities for Canadians. After 10 years of watching the liberals and the left wing climate nuts rip Canadians off it's now fallen to like 15th place And is largely a null issue.

You had complete free will yet every action you took simply allowed climate change to continue without any noticeable reduction and yet left Canada impoverished and unable to do what needs to be done now to adapt to it. Yes, Canada made a big mistake when it started taking in people from the third world. Before that, we brought in people much like ourselves, who had no trouble integrating.

The first brown people we allowed to immigrate officially were nannies and housekeepers kept by well-off liberals to look after their kids. Once they were citizens, they quit, of course, to find something better. They also brought their estranged kids in from Jamaica and Haiti, where they'd been living with grandma. Those kids had poor educations, were resentful at being brought north, and were alienated from the other kids in school. The teenage boys hung around together and formed gangs, which were the beginning of our nastier street gangs. Now Canada began to have drive-by shootings just like the US.
