A good argument and used many times. 

The overriding criticism is that a minority of the population can determine the winner. 

In a 2-Party system, I understand the criticism - on the other hand better to let sleeping dogs lay?

IF a 3rd Party throws its oar into the water I don't think the E.C. would stand.
