As it happens i think that the backlash over this has gone too far, but I also believe everyone has to play by the same rules. And until your side starts to call out cancel culture, which YOU INVENTED, then i don't see why the right would be obliged to play any different. 

Oh by the way, new anti free speech censorship law being proposed by Canada's  liberal party right now. This will be their second.

The government expressed their opinion to the owners and they ‘decided’ to suspend him after that. Cause and effect could not be clearer. As anybody in a developing country can tell you, when the government speaks like this you better listen the first time or you’ll do it ‘the hard way’.

Well, you asked Legato for a link that said the company had made the decision to fire Kimmel before the FCC contacted them. Where do you expect this info would come from? Who else could confirm that they were planning to axe him anyway? Jimmy Kimmel's psychic?

For what it's worth, I think the FCC should not have gotten involved here at all. That said, government applied pressure to silence free speech during the Biden regime. There are far more examples of it. Were you complaining then?

OK. Do you honestly believe that claim from Nexstar? What is your personal opinion on this otherwise very suspicious sequence of events? Is there any confirmation from somebody without billions at stake that his claim is true? If Joe Biden had done this would you have the same opinion? 

Again quoting wrongdoing by other people as justification for your wrongdoing does not stand up in a court or in the Christian moral code. It’s the response of a five year old and is very dangerous for a country. Why do I have to even say that?

I am not using it as justification. I just said I think it was wrong. I agree with Ben Shapiro on this. The FCC should not be involved. It is a dangerous game. I am just asking why you weren't complaining when the Biden regime was using the force of govt to cancel people. I am questioning your concern over free speech. If you were legitimately concerned you would be more focused on this country where people are more apt to be punished for it.

You're talking about when Twitter decided as a private company that they didn't want to spread dangerous misinformation during a pandemic? That was when Trump was still president.

The FCC was clear in it's threat and ABC promptly responded. You don't have to make excuses about why you're now against free speech. It's pretty obvious why.
