This is the sort of garbage accusations that fuel the fires. This...person...has no idea who I work for, or if I work for anyone. She's mad 'cause I dont agree with her and feel an uncontrollable need to beak off.

Its starts with level headed people coming down on the insanity on their own sides of the arguments.

Right. You also feel The Jew George Soros must be stopped from spreading anti-Russian propaganda.

You blame "MAGA" while simultaneously giving supposed moderates a pass for doing pre dawn SWAT raids against political opponents.

Edit for Mike

This insane hatred for Trump needs to end. He is simply the consequence of decades of political stupidity.

They scramble and foment hatred  BECAUSE Trump is tearing down their power structure and cash cow.

Certainly never to the level of raiding the opposition law offices though. That is what youd expect to see in the USSR.

Or the president espousing divisiveness.  But that's what you'd expect from the USA.

But Trump now seems to have drawn a very fine line – one that isn’t so much between violence and nonviolence, but between what he casts as evil violence and righteous violence.

He drove that home Friday during an interview on Fox News.

“I’ll tell you something that’s going to get me in trouble, but I couldn’t care less,” he said. “The radicals on the right oftentimes are radical because they don’t want to see crime. … They’re saying we don’t want these people coming in.”

Trump added: “The radicals on the left are the problem. And they’re vicious. And they’re horrible. And they’re politically savvy.”

The president seemed to be saying that extremists on the right had legitimate motivations, unlike those on the left.

I could care less if Soros is a Jew or a Satanist or anything.

His actions need to be stopped.

Ok...should we punish those who perpetrated the RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA bullshit? Maybe stick Hilary-Billary in a cage?

Should we punish Trump for holding a rally and protest?

Where do you start?

IMO...this cannot start at the top because they are elected and will do whatever it takes to get re-elected. It starts with you...and me...the people.

Yes, you, I and everyone else who is concerned with the state of our society need to play a role in this but it ultimately starts at the top....again, my 2 cents.  You can't tell me for one minute that hardcore Trump supporters, or Biden supporters, or Carney, Poilievre whomever supporters don't hang on their every word.  If they say jump many will say how high without questions. If politicians use that kind of divisive schtick to get elected, that's on us to make sure they don't get elected.

Sure they do. But they are not the majority. Independents are.

Look at @Chrissy1979 here. She has no idea what I think of Putin, yet drones on about how I'm his puppet. An asinine assertion.

2 days ago on another site, Libbie freaks called my wife a whore. Had I been in arms reach of the one guy...your friend and mine...Black Dog...he would be in the hospital right now and I'd be in jail.

I too have been guilty of stoking the fires. I try to not instigate though and I do not sink to the depths many Libbies do regularly.

As for Poilievre...Im very disappointed in him. He was handed victory but didn't have the balls to stand up to the Carney. I now question his commitment.

I should add here that a major contributor to this social division is the MSM. I have nothing but disdain for them.

Probably fair to say we're all one way or another guilty of stoking a fire here and there if we participate in these type of political chat forums. I frequent another chat forum but that's specific to stocks, business or the economy and rarely are there any comments you'd see here, but that's expected.

I have no idea who Black Dog is, but me listing Trump, Biden, Carney and Poilievre was only highlighting our political leaders and how some are or at least appear to be emotionally invested in them and hang on their every word. I know I'm a broken record with Trump being a POS (my opinion) but that comes from the hate I believe he fuels for his personal benefit.  That means both right and left fuelled with disdain for the other side, which also includes the media as you note.

I can see your points. But the king does have a certain power over knights. Maybe that isn't quite the perfect example.

The problem with drawing the line on something subjective is that it is subjective. The Brandenburg v Ohio case was well adjudicated because it gave a well defined line.

Well no, it isn't perfect but the king had less power over the night than you might have thought back in the day

And a person of influence now or an influencer making that kind of a statement can lead people who respect or follow them to make bad decisions even though they clearly would not want them to.

I guess what I'm saying is it can be kind of gray when speech crosses over into hate speech. I think as far as the law is concerned it should err on the side of being excessive rather than on the side of just barely qualifying, but I think people do have to be aware that at some point at least in a civil court or the like they may be held responsible if they say something that genuinely insights other people to take action that is illegal

"That which doesn't kill me...

Had better start running."

My take on this; freedom of speech against the government is fine and in fact encouraged. Freedom of speech against people(s) is not condone in the spirit of the constitution.

I fully understand why she's saying this, but unclear who this applies to....

Trump has spent years labelling his political opponents as fascists, referring to past administrations intelligence community as Nazi Germany, and just last year called the Biden administration a Gaestpo administration.  Not to be outdone by himself he mused about Liz Cheney being fired upon, and then in maybe his best attempt at comedy in talking about Paul Pelosi said How’s Nancy Pelosi’s husband doing, anybody know?” Trump said at one point. “And she’s against building a wall at our border, even though she has a wall around her house — which obviously didn’t do a very good job.”

Is any of that hate speech, or just all good fun?

Just Trump LYING. There's no wall around Pelosi's house. In fact DePape used the hammer to break one of the doors.
