Even as we speak he's dealing with fractures in his coalition that he's going to have to patch back up if he's going to stay in power. It's not like the president of the united states, As the head of the gov't he has a lot of power but he doesn't get to call the shots by any stretch of the imagination. 

The attack changed that, temporarily.  We'll see if he can hold it together long enough to actually finish the war.

How is that a solution?

You think somehow mysteriously claiming the Palestinians have a state makes them stop hating Israel and wanting them destroyed? What exactly will that "state" consist of, because the Palestinians think whatever state they want should encompass much, if not all, of Israel.

How does two states make it better? 

If palestine is allowed to be a state they'll do the same things and lauch the same wars so we'll still be in for another 78 years of the same. 

The only benefit would be if the israelis completely take them over at that point its legitimate conquest  

Easier to wipe gaza off the map now and spread the population elsewhere.  They refuse to live in peace, and being a nation won't change that.

I don't expect Israel to stop being a nation but denying Palestinians one of their own will just mean this endless cycle of killing will continue.

But you don't say why they're killing will go on and you don't say why it would stop at Palestine was a nation

As a nation they would be eligible to buy their own weaponry. Why in god's name would you think that they would stop attacking Israel?

If anything being a nation would embolden them

Further you haven't explained how long-term occupation would allow the same kind of attacks we saw on october 7th.

People have said quite erroneously the Gaza is an open air jail. Nothing could have been further from the truth. But if they actually make that true and watch what they're doing all the time and extract enough tax money from the locals to pay for it then it might be a lot more difficult for them to dig tunnels, build rockets, plan massive assaults

That sounds a hell of a lot more likely to end the violence and giving them their own nationhood
