They have no basis for their comments or assumptions. What happened to Zelensky was not behind closed doors. Carney was also in the oval office and he knew what happened, hence his tact while in the oval office. Behind closed doors is going on without Trump or Carney present. What Trumps negotiators tell Trump is one thing and what Carney hears is another. Thing is, Trump likes the publicity and plays it while Carney sits quietly and plays his hand cautiously. None of us knows what is goign on behind those doors and for anyone to claim that Canada is "caving" or anything else is totally uninformed..as we all are. Some folks here seem to think they know or assume they know what is going on but they are completely in the dark, like we all are. Like I said, we can all agree that it was a mistake and that he should have handled it better, but for better or worse he is our prime minister currently and we all need to really hope that he learns from this and is able to recover the situation for the next issue. Because sure as crap if trump smells blood in the water he's going to come twice as hard with his next thing. Carney was just the wrong choice.
