August1991 Posted May 26 Report Posted May 26 I know a man - Canadian - who was killed in August 1944, in France. He died in a crash in a Lancaster bomber. The French created a remarkable memorial site for him, and the other six men. The site is like Stonehenge. Why? Quote

Well if you lived the better part of 5 years under the Nazi's, you might have at least some amount of gratitude toward the people who died trying to liberate you. The Dutch sure haven't forgotten and make sure they pass it on to their children. This question is a good example of how we don't do the same. 1 Quote

IMHO, the great disaster started in Summer 1914. An elite said it would be a short war. And in 1912, the smart people engineers said the boat would never sink. Quote

We're discussing the connection between the Titanic and August 1914. Your thoughts? Quote
