Nationalist Posted Thursday at 03:23 PM Report Posted Thursday at 03:23 PM Well...Trump's Big Beautiful Bill has passed the House. I like the result. Thoughts? Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.
Nationalist Posted Thursday at 04:24 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 04:24 PM (edited) So...the Democrats are all in an uproar claiming Medicaid and Welfare are being cut. Here's the truth: Quote One of the bill's major components includes "community engagement requirements," forcing able-bodied adults without dependents to work, volunteer, or pursue education for at least 80 hours per month. Additionally, Medicaid recipients would need to verify their status with the federal government twice a year instead of once. This simply put, means that if you are an American citizen, you qualify for Medicaid. It also means that those on welfare and are deemed "able bodied", must work, volunteer for something (more work), or go to school. These provisions will keep illegals off Medicaid...which is a good thing...and push "able bodied" welfare recipients to actually DO SOMETHING (which is also good). How can anyone disagree with this? Politicians playing politics. They scream for a balanced budget out one side of their mouths...and scream for less federal income out the other side. Once Trump is done with the spending needed to finish The Wall and assorted other expenses, I believe he will push for a more balanced budget in the future. 1 Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.

You OBVIOUSLY don't know the details about the House bill. For one thing, it forces the unprecedented cutting of $500 BILLION from Medicare. Fortunately it is unlikely to be passed by the Senate. YOU ^don't know what you're LYING about. Non-citizens can pay for and be eligible for Medicare. The cut to Medicare is hidden and mandated by PAYGO laws. Yes, non-U.S. citizens can be eligible for Medicare, but it depends on their immigration status and work history. Generally, they need to be lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) who have resided in the U.S. for at least 5 years. Additionally, they may need to have worked in Medicare-covered employment for at least 10 years (40 quarters) to qualify for premium-free Part A. Here's a more detailed explanation: Undocumented Immigrants: Undocumented immigrants are generally not eligible for Medicare. Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs): Green Card holders who have lived in the U.S. for at least 5 years are eligible for Medicare. Work History: LPRs can also qualify for Medicare if they have worked in Medicare-covered employment for at least 10 years (40 quarters). Quote

User Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago I am excited for suppressors being removed from the NFA registry and the tax stamp! Hopefully that survives. Quote
